The moment is going to come whether we acknowledge grace or not. Grace allows us to shift our perspective it allows us to have a little bit of hope. It doesn't have to be big, it doesn't have to stand up on a mountain top and scream or do a podcast every week. It does not have to be big, it can be just a tiny bit, and it gives us enough hope for the next day.

This is all about giving credit to where credit is due and that all goes upwards to God. When we show up in that vulnerable way with this level of transparency, where we can say those things, we just said with a straight face and flat-footed to do it knowing that this is about giving credit to the one and only all-the-time provider of grace. We don't have to worry about that.

Grace is important, and keeping it a secret can't help anybody. The truth of the matter is, we're all embarrassed about and ashamed. We think we’re the only ones in the world who had those thoughts or went through that experience that's a lie. Other people have those same things going on and once we open our mouths, we'll see that there's a whole community of people who need to hear what we have to say.

In today’s episode of Grace Among Us, we’ll share insight into the question, “Does grace sneak up on you?”, and give another view of grace in all its many forms. The desire is that you will begin to notice grace in your own life and be encouraged that life is for you.

So, if you’ve ever considered that grace may be sneaking up on you without you knowing it, tune in to hear how you might be right!

Here is a glance at what you’ll hear in this episode

1. Ebony highlights - when grace shows up in the black and white it's sneaking upon her. She was expecting it in the Grey, she was expecting it in the big, and she was expecting it in the ways that she’s praying for. The stuff she doesn’t pray about or the stuff that's kind of on autopilot, the things that she had figured out when it shows up there, and that’s when it's sneaking upon her. She wasn't expecting this, those are the sneaky moments.

2. Carri shares - her response when she sees grace sneak up on her and in general. Her response is like, “Yes, there it is, or wow that's cool”. It's not often followed by action, it’s more of appreciation.

3. The first in disrupting the autopilot is accepting that there is some autopilot and paying attention.

Thank you so much for joining us today.

What arrived as well is the relationship between grace and forgiveness.

So, if you’ve ever considered that you know all about grace, tune in to hear you may be right or you may be surprised!

Here’s a glance at the episode:

1. Grace is free and doesn't require one to do something to get it. But in real life, she finds himself leaning on concepts like karma and reap what we sow. She has a hard time disconnecting the reaping and sowing and karmic aspects of life from the true free gift of grace and that's a daily struggle for him if she does good then good will come. If she shows grace, then it'll come back to her and that might be true but if she never showed, exhibited, or demonstrated these things that she’s trying to do, she would still have access to grace. So, it's an active misconception that she works through daily.

2. Carri’s biggest misconception is that someday she is going to make a big mistake and that she’ll never see Grace again. It's very much along the same lines but that fear is the limitation, or it might not even be the limitation. It might be the other side that she is so powerful that she could choose something that would eliminate grace from her life and that is the biggest lie.

3. Ebony mentions, that she doesn't think one can have true forgiveness without grace. The beautiful thing about forgiveness is, that the ultimate forgiving sacrifice was made long before we came so that we would not have to be in this keeping score situation and she is pretty thankful for that. We can see grace and receive it freely without any condition.

Thank you so much for joining us today. However, with the guidance of her spiritual mentor, she found something to be grateful for and held on to that, which was her lifeline.

3. Ebony feels privileged to be able to articulate how they've been impacted by grace with each other.

In today’s episode of the “Grace Among Us” podcast, hosts Ebony Gilbert and Carri Adcock talk about many aspects of grace, and share stories of the power of grace in human lives. They both hope that their stories will inspire listeners to see grace in their own lives and share it with others.

So, if you’ve ever considered grace as being in a box, tune in to hear how we exercise the practice of receiving, extending, and seeing grace in others.

Here’s a glance of the episode:

1. When grace pertains to you in some way, shape, or form, you can see it in others too. When people are having a hard time it's almost like they're able to look at their grace to give themselves a break, and in turn, probably find a break.

2. Carri narrates one of the most painful situations in her life where she couldn't see a way out of it. It was like her whole world was coming down. However, with the guidance of her spiritual mentor, she found something to be grateful for and held on to that, which was her lifeline.

3. Ebony feels privileged to be able to articulate how they've been impacted by grace with each other. She feels incredibly humbled and grateful for this opportunity.

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you're leaving with another pointer to Grace, and a new perspective that will light it up in your own life. If you enjoyed this episode, please let us know at community@grace-among-us.com; we would love to hear your questions, suggestions, and/or comments.
