As we continue this year’s brain health series, I sit down and talk with my beautiful friend Danielle. She shares her story of how living in a home with verbal and psychological abuse from her mom, she had been depressed since around the age of nine. Things escalated with self harm and suicidal thoughts at the age of fifteen. In one of her weakest moments she heard God speak to her. Her story of healing now has her waking up everyday with joy. This is a story of hope, healing and knowing the truth. We pray Danielle’s story gives you hope and encouragement.

Discussing Human Trafficking

Did you know 79% of human trafficking globally is specifically sex trafficking. That 80% of victims of sex trafficking are girls and women with 45% of cases involving a family member. And that 88% of reported cases are online. Americans are the largest consumer of sex trafficking in the entire world.

Created Gainesville is committed to reaching and restoring women caught in sex trafficking and sexual exploitation in Gainesville, Florida. Ages 11-17 is the range most survivors served at Created Gainesville first experienced trafficking.

We have our first guest for episode #3 of the Pineapple Principle Podcast. Eliana Freeman, "Elie" shares her story about her battle with anxiety and depression. Elie is a junior with a major in advertising. She is our content creator here at Pineapple Principle, while also working as the social media manager for her church. Plus serves as the creative director for the youth ministry there also. Elie and I discuss her struggle with anxiety and depression that started in middle school. We dive into how she was effected, and how she faced those giants. She is all about about bringing it out of the darkness and into the light. She tells how she overcame her darkest season, and shares with us from her journal during that time. I think you will be inspired by her story of putting on her full armor and allowing God to work on her to overcome that season of darkness.
