The Minnesota Twins stayed hot at home, sweeping the Baltimore Orioles in convincing fashion across three games at Target Field. David and Dan discuss the many thrilling moments, which included a pair of three-run homeruns by Byron Buxton, a big blast from Carlos Correa, a significant workload from the bullpen and a memorable hit from Brooks Lee, to name just a few. Despite the long homer, David isn't so sure Correa is actually healthy and wonders whether he should go to the IL for a short stint. Dan is curious about just how good Jhoan Duran will end up being this season after this excellent opening six weeks. Dan has high praise for Jhoan Duran while David has some harsh words for Carlos Correa. The guys have nothing but good things to say about Joe Ryan and Bailey Ober, and David wants to know if these guys will be Twins for the long haul. The Minnesota Twins' latest visit to Cleveland goes about as well as they seem to: not well. The Twins win the first and then lose the next three in close fashion, dropping farther under .500 -- which is all still part of David's grand vision for their return to a winning record by mid-summer. David's optimism, though, is limited after seeing the bats go cold and the pitchers prove unable to get the ball to first base in key moments. Dan is not so sure Ryan Jeffers has truly turned a corner, but he is quite sure that a healthy Willi Castro would make a difference right now, considering Rocco Baldelli's bench options. David thinks the Twins should just bring Royce Lewis back now, even if he's just cheering from the bench until he's fully ready to return. Thanks for listening, and go Twins!

The Minnesota Twins complete their first sweep of 2025 taking three straight from the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field. The Twins were flying high with the return of Pablo Lopez to the roster and Royce Lewis starting a rehab assignment at AAA. While spirits were high there was some sadness as the Twins breakout prospect Luke Keaschall suffered a fractured forearm after being HBP in game 1. Dan praises Rocco's bullpen management and wonders if the Twins may try and move a starting pitcher before the trade deadline. David wants to know if Rocco will continue letting lefty batters see lefty pitchers once he has a full bench, and also wants to know what the reasonable expectations should be for Royce upon his return to the roster. The Minnesota Twins win a series for the third time in eight opportunities, handling the Chicago White Sox in two of three at Target Field. David and Dan are pleased with the series win and some of the positive signs, most notably the play of rookie Luke Keaschall, whose flowing golden locks definitely make him a better player (or at least more fun to watch steal bases). Dan does his best to defend the idea of keeping Rocco Baldelli on as manager for not just this year but for a long time beyond. David has a path for the Twins to get back to .500 by the All-Star Break in July. And they've both got some empathy for Rocco who has turned so often lately to an empty bench. For the fourth time this season, the Minnesota Twins lost a series, this time at home to the first-place Detroit Tigers. But they did salvage at least a win, in Game 3, showing that even a fourth-place team still wins once in a while. With David taking a Buxton-like scheduled off-day, Hoges fills in to talk about the team with Dan, and both have lots to say about manager Rocco Baldelli. They question his handling of basically the entire roster, from decisions on pinch-hitting and pinch-running to how long to let starters and relievers stay in the game. In the end, though, they are the least impressed with how little impact it seems (so far) the changes he instituted in spring training have made to a team that resembles the one that ended last season far more than the team that cruised into first place last summer. Despite some good pitching performances, the Minnesota Twins lost another series, this time three games out of four to the Kansas City Royals in Kansas City. David and Dan see plenty of culprits, mostly on the lineup card in the poor performances by Jose Miranda and Byron Buxton (whom both of them hope is able to tend to family matters while he is away). The lack of fundamentals in baserunning and fielding are concerning to David, while Dan thinks that Rocco Baldelli mishandled his trip to talk to home plate umpire Nic Lentz during Game 1 of this series. While Game 1 wasn't pretty, the Minnesota Twins did finally get one win and then another one to take two of three against the Chicago White Sox, evening them up with the rest of the AL Central's teams at 2-4. So in that sense, it's a whole new ballgame for the final 156 this Major League Baseball season.
