Christmas Bourbon Slush Friday Happy Hour Episode #66

Neil and Jenna revisit their upbringing with a variation of the Christmas classic, The Bourbon Slush! Easy enough to prep this a few day before the big holiday, just follow these simple steps.

Boil 7 cups water and 2 cups of sugar untill diluted in a large pot.
Steep 2 cups water and 2 Green Tea bag in a smaller pot.
Once both liquids have cooled add together with 1 can (16oz) frozen orange juice concentrate and 1 can (16oz) or lemonade concentrate.
Add 2 cups of your favorite bourbon and mix well. Don't use anything over 90 proof or the mix will or freeze properly.
Place the mix in the freezer till frozen.

When your ready to serve just use an Ice cream scoop to scoop and much mix into your glass and top with 7-up or and lemon lime soda. Give a few dashes of bitters for a little extra holiday spice!

Serve with a spoon or a wide straw and enjoy!

2.0 ounces bourbon
0.5 ounce simple syrup
Juice of one lemon
1 teaspoon Cointreau
6.0 ounces Lemon Lime Soda

Mix the bourbon, simple syrup, and lemon juice in an iced cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into a large bar glass that is half filled with shaved (or finely crushed) ice. Add the Cointreau. Pour the Lemon Lime Soda into a glass and Serve.

Penicillin Friday Happy Hour Episode #57

Guy guys make a Scotch cocktail called the Penicillin. It was just the drink they didn't know they needed. Cheers!
Ingredients-
2oz. blended Scotch
3/4 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
3/4 oz. honey ginger syrup
1/4oz. peated Scotch
Add the blended scotch, juice and syrup into a shaker with ice and shake.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
Top with the single-malt scotch.
Garnish with a piece of candied ginger.

*Honey-ginger syrup: Combine 1 cup honey, 1 6-inch piece of peeled and thinly sliced ginger and 1 cup water in a saucepan over high heat, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer 5 minutes. Place in the refrigerator to steep overnight. Strain with a cheesecloth.
