Working is apart of everyday life. We pretty much can't go a day without doing some kind of work. It's a good healthy thing! However, it's not wise to get in the way of the Lord's work or His will. 

God in His infinite wisdom needs no assistance! When it comes to what he is going to do in your life I'm encouraging you to do absolutely NOTHING. It's challenging but trust me, faith & patience is all you need.

The Tide Director Don Shank was born to missionary parents in what was then known as Rhodesia, and prior to joining The Tide in 2001 served as a missionary teaching at a Bible School in Zimbabwe, Africa. In addition to lecturing in the classroom at Ekuphileni Bible Institute Don served as Academic Dean, Director of Student Ministries, and also developed and implemented a manual skills training program to enable rural pastors to minister bi-vocationally. Through twenty eight years living in Zimbabwe, and numerous visits to Africa, Eastern Europe and India as a ministry administrator and resource person for church conferences and leadership training events, Don has acquired a wealth of international, cross cultural ministry experience. As the world becomes more and more of a global village, Don's greatest passion is to reach people for Jesus Christ and to bring them into the Church.

Life is so precious! We need to cherish it everyday. Well, at least that is the take away I got from this episode. I always knew my Mom was a strong woman but this testimony made me respect her even more.  She should've been DEAD...but God!

To say the least she has come through some very serious trauma. I'm so glad she took time to share her incredible story of bravery and survival with us. I hope this encourages you. Destiny is about legacy.  Jealousy can set in people's hearts when they can see what you will be remembered by. God gives us gifts, skills and abilities to build our legacy.  Great destiny comes from difficult challenging paths. Many people want to take easy street in expectation that they will have a great destiny but it doesn't happen that way. If you want certain things you have to follow that path. 

The bible is a treasure map.  If you read & study it you will find out that it's filled with paths. Paths to wealth, paths to love, paths to happiness, paths to peace, paths to joy, but even paths to death. Your feet right now are on a path. So what direction are you headed in? I’m so glad, as perfect as our Lord is he does not stray from using us despite our imperfections. Isn’t he wonderful? So, I often wonder why people run away from him when he is trying to use them. Aasha Marie is a Chicago singer, rapper, and poet who creates socially conscious, Christian inspired music in hopes of bringing spiritual transformation to cultures and communities that are in need. Maria LIopiz began her academic career at Harold Washington College where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree. Immediately after she transferred to Roosevelt University to complete my baccalaureate degree in Public Administration. During her time at Harold Washington College she worked as a student hourly in the Counseling Department. The experience in the Counseling Department led her to her first professional position as Assistant Director of Admissions for the Illinois Institute of Technology. Inspired by the positive difference her counselor had her life, she decided to pursue a Masters of Education in Human Services and Counseling from DePaul University.

During her 28-year tenure at Wright College, she had served students as a counselor, director of admissions and recruitment and as the Associate Dean of Student Services. Throughout her professional career, she has received numerous awards. The greatest reward she has received is the satisfaction seeing her students achieve their academic and career goals. She loves to guide, mentor, coach and assist students and learning better ways to serve them.

Paths to wealth, paths to love, paths to happiness, paths to peace, paths to joy, but even paths to death. Your feet right now are on a path. So what direction are you headed in? Reverend Mark Sowersby has been married to his wonderful wife Jennifer for 17 years and is the father of four children.  Mark has been an ordained minister with Assembly of God for over 25 years and is currently the Pastor of Christian Assembly of Schuyler in beautiful upstate New York.  Pastor Mark holds a BA in theology from Zion Bible College/Northpoint Bible College.  

In 2019 Pastor Mark went through a time of great healing.  He began speaking about the experiences of his past and God’s grace and the transformational work of forgiveness in his life.  He now speaks about his story through his ministry, Forgiving The Nightmare.

At around seven years old, Prophetess Vessel accepted Jesus as her personal savior, after attending a service at the Gospel Mission on Skid Row in Chicago. There she was taught the Bible through stories about the various biblical characters as well as scriptures with their references that would be recited at churches throughout the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Cynthia Vessel attended University of Illinois Chicago, Northeastern Illinois University and, lastly at National Louis University, where she earned a doctorate in Adult Continuing Education. In 1986, Prophetess Vessel recommitted her life to Jesus and in 1988 received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. She founded Co-Labourers With Christ ministries where Prophetess Vessel was privileged to be the Praise and Worship Leader and Youth Director. She has traveled across the United States and then journeyed to Kenya, East Africa as a missionary three times, in 1996, 2000 and 2012. 

As a member of Way of Life Church International, she is the Praise and Worship Leader, ordained Prophetess, Sunday School teacher and provides leadership and training for many ministries in the church. Prophetess has one daughter, Leslie Chante’ Robinson who has served with her in ministry in areas of praise and worship, teaching and youth ministry. God has anointed Prophetess to flow prophetically in intercession, teaching and the spirit of wisdom. 

After hearing the scripture, Revelation 19:10b in a life-changing sermon by Apostle Dr. Vessel, Prophetess Vessel embraced this scripture as her life and ministry theme – “those having the testimony of Jesus; bow before God, for the testimony of Jesus is Worship God, which is the spirit of the prophecy.”

ABOUT THE GUEST:
Pastor Williams excepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior when he was around 10 years old, at the House of Prayer Temple COGIC, under the leadership of his father, the late Apostle Naamon Williams Sr.

In 1992, Naamon Williams founded the community choir Youth for Christ, which he later changed to Ministry Chorale in 2001. 

In 2002, Pastor Naamon became the musician for Bread of Life church and later joined under Superintendent Willie F. Richardson, where he has remained faithful. 

 On January 22, 2006, Elder Williams married the love of his life DeVita Richardson.

Pastor Williams is daily reminded of his father’s last words to him, “ I must decrease so that my son might increase”. Not fully understanding those words, Pastor Williams still yielded to God’s will and  remained faithful to God and ministry.  

In November of 2014, Overseer Willie F. Richardson, pastor and founder of Bread of Life COGIC,  obeyed the voice of the Lord and named Elder Naamon Williams Jr. The new pastor of The Bread of Life Church.  Now he understood his father’s last words.

 God granted Pastor Naamon the opportunity to return to one of his loves, which is teaching and directing choirs. In the beginning of 2020, Bishop E.M. Walker, Prelate of the Northern Illinois Jurisdiction, appointed Pastor Naamon as the Jurisdictional  Minister of Music. 

 To God Be The Glory For The Things He Has Done and Will Continue To Do!

Yuko Ichioka is a professional gospel singer, inspirational speaker, and author.  She lives in Amagasaki city near Osaka, Japan, where her father—the late Hachiro Oka—was one of Japan’s most beloved comedians.They co-wrote the book, I’ll Make You Laugh As Much As I’ve Cried, is an inspirational story about love, loss, hope, and survival.

Yuko has given more than 700 performances in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United States, including appearances on TV and radio. A popular choir director, Yuko also teaches gospel music to choirs in Japan and Thailand.

Yuko was an early member of the Harlem Japanese Gospel Choir (Harlem JP) and the prestigious McDonald’s Gospelfest Choir, which performed traveling concerts with Cissy Houston, mother of the legendary Whitney Houston.

Yuki donates all proceeds from her music project Amazing Grace, to support four orphanages in Chiang Mai.  She’s released 2nd music project“Love Is Waiting For You” on June 5th, 2019.

ABOUT THE GUEST:
Pastor Joe  is a visionary leader, innovative and evangelist with a passion to inspire and encourage believers as well as non-believers.  He is the Senior Pastor and founder of Harvest Time Worship Center Church of God in Christ, located in Richton Park, IL. The church was founded in 2005 by the direction of the Holy Spirit.  He has a thriving ministry and is an anointed vessel of God. Pastor Joyce was given the gift to proclaim the gospel of deliverance into the lives of people everywhere. His ministry has called him to reach out and help people with difficult challenges, and situations through the strength of God.

 Pastor Joe has been devoted to the ministry that God called him to for over twenty-four years. He has ministered at conferences, workshops, and seminars in cities throughout the United States. He was blessed with the opportunity to minister the gospel in the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago.

 Pastor Joe is a pillar in the community. He was awarded the 2019 Citizen of the Year Award in the community where he Pastors. He dedicates his time and efforts in developing community and church relationships. Through God’s direction he started the H.O.P.E Ministry (Helping Out People Everywhere) at his local church. This ministry has provided food baskets to families and book bags with school supplies to hundreds of children in their local and surrounding communities and in the Chicago land area.  He also had the privilege to dedicate a Park in Richton Park, IL.  He has volunteered his time to minister the gospel to students at Northern Illinois University College, and at Bloom High School’s At Risk program.  He serves as Jurisdictional General Secretary in the Northern Illinois Jurisdiction under the Prelate of Bishop E.M. Walker. Pastor Joyce also devotes his time with men in the Penal Institution by preaching the gospel, and he’s also a licensed Chaplain at the Cook County Jail.

 Pastor Joe studied at Mason Roberts Bible Institute for Biblical and Ministerial Leadership. He attended Lewis University College, where he studied Business Management and Computer Information Systems courses. He currently works in Corporate America and has for the past twenty-five years.

Pastor Joe has been married to his childhood sweetheart, Sherita for over twenty five years, and she works diligently alongside with him in the ministry. They are the parents of three children. Pastor Joyce’s belief is “People are our passion, and praise is our purpose.”

Dr. Clemea Donaldson is a doctor of Family Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. 
She is affiliated with Chicago Metrapolitian Medical Center, Family Doctor Medical, Cook County Hospitals and Healthcare Systems, and International Mobilizing Medical Missions. 
 
She is a licensed Evangelist Missionary and a Member of Friendly Temple COGIC. Her pastor is Bishop Edwin Walker. 
Dr. Donaldson received her degree in 2017. She completed her Clinical Medical training through The University of Chicago and AMITA Health Corporation. 
 
Clemea's is excited about her first published book; From Wheelchair to White Coat.
The book gives real life experiences of a young lady experiencing many obstacles that could have potentially hindered her from succeeding and accomplishing her goals in life, but her strength and faith in God allowed her to triumph. She wants her audience to feel encouraged and remember with God all things are possible. Never give up hope!

Bishop E.M. Walker has served as the pastor of Friendly Temple COGIC (Chicago, IL) for 32 years. He has served in various district, jurisdictional and national capacities including Vice President of the International Youth Dept. of  the COGIC. In 2019, he was appointed as the Prelate of the great Northern IL Jurisdiction of the Churches of God In Christ. 

Bishop E.M. Walker often says he loves God for real. He has displayed his love for God by serving His people. He works with various civic and community involved organizations.  He serves as President for Bread of Life Chaplains. This committee services the detainees of the Cook County correctional facilities.  He is also Founder & CEO of the Favors Walker Family Life Foundation, a non-profit organization whose goal is the empowerment of the community and it’s youth toward successful revitalization. He has organized health, wellness, financial literacy and other events ministering to the whole man.

He is endowed with wisdom and operates in many of the spiritual gifts. The anointing on his life and the dynamic ability to preach God’s word has made him a well sought-after minister to the body of believers.

Bishop E.M. Walker is a loyal husband to his lovely wife, Lady Salana Walker, a dedicated father of five children and three grandchildren.
