Walking away was scary. Staying was scary too.

That experience taught me something important: fear gets a vote, but it does not get to make the decision.

We talk about the difference between facts, possibilities, and the predictions fear creates in our heads. We also look at the difference between making a wise plan and using planning as a place to hide.

In this episode:

Why feeling afraid does not automatically mean you are making the wrong decision

The two risks we often forget to compare: the risk of leaving and the risk of staying

How fear can become fuel or a retardant

Why there are no guarantees, even when we choose the supposedly "safe" option

How to separate what you know from what you fear might happen

Why confidence usually comes after action, not before it

How asking "What would I do next?" can make fear feel much less powerful

Questions to sit with:

What are you afraid might happen?

Is that a fact, a possibility, or a prediction?

And if the thing you fear actually happened, what would you do next?

You do not have to wait until you are no longer scared.

Sometimes scared is good.

What should we talk about?

Got a question, a dilemma, or something you've been thinking but haven't quite said out loud?
