My mood, my fear, my hope and peace were all contingent on the condition of my addicted loved one. If my loved one was alive, I felt relief. If my loved one mentioned going to treatment, I was elated. If my loved one was silent, I was afraid. 

If you can relate to this state of mind, I want to share three things that got me through the next ten minutes. When I was drowning in anxiety, these three things got my head above water. When I was consumed with fear, these three things gave me some peace. When I was driving around at 2:00am looking for my loved one, these three things took me back home and helped me fall asleep.
