    <description><![CDATA[<p>Welcome to Ollivanders, Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C.</p><p>For today’s Hogwarts seminar– we are meeting for a field trip, we are leaving the castle, gathering in Diagon Alley, and stepping into the narrow, dust-filled shop where a wand may be waiting to choose its witch or wizard.</p><p>In this episode of <b><em>Mischief, Meaning, &amp; Magic</em></b>, Raven explores wandlore as something far deeper than magical accessories or personality labels. </p><p>What does it mean to be chosen by a wand? What can wood, core, length, and flexibility reveal, and where does the mystery remain? Why are Harry Potter and Voldemort connected through the twin phoenix-feather cores of their wands? And what does the Elder Wand’s bloody history reveal about allegiance, possession, power, and the desire to become invincible?</p><p>We will follow the thread from Harry’s first visit to Ollivanders through Priori Incantatem, Draco Malfoy’s disarming of Dumbledore, Harry’s own complicated relationship with power, and Voldemort’s fatal misunderstanding of what it means to truly master a wand.</p><p>Because in the Wizarding World, a wand can be held, inherited, stolen, or pursued. </p><p>Its allegiance has a story of its own.</p><p><b>Download the free episode companion handout:</b><br/><em>Welcome to Ollivanders!
