“I’m good.” That might be the most common lie hurting men tell, not because we want to deceive anyone, but because we don’t know where to put what we’re carrying. We can work hurting, lead hurting, provide hurting, and still sit at the dinner table acting fine while something inside us is cracking under the weight. This message from Men’s Manor goes straight at the pressure men feel to stay silent and calls it what it often is: confusing silence with strength.

We open the Bible and sit with two powerful truths. David is a warrior who kills giants, leads armies, and still cries until his bed is wet with tears. And Jesus, the Son of God, weeps too. That means masculinity and emotion are not enemies, and spirituality doesn’t erase grief. The real danger isn’t that we hurt, it’s that we bury the hurt and refuse to take it anywhere. Buried pain doesn’t stay buried, it comes back as anger, isolation, bitterness, addiction, or impatience with the people we love most, leaving us fighting today’s battles with yesterday’s wounds.

From there, we get practical about healing. God doesn’t need our performance, He wants our heart. We talk about honest, unpolished prayer that sounds like real life: “God, I’m angry. I’m scared. I miss them. I’m tired.” If you’ve been crying in private, staring at the ceiling at night, or hiding pain from your family, your church, or even yourself, hear this clearly: you don’t have to bleed publicly, but you need to bleed somewhere in the presence of God. Broken men cannot put themselves back together, but God can. If this helps you, subscribe, share it with a man you care about, and leave a review so more people can find it.

Send us Fan Mail

mensmannapodcast@gmail.com
