This week, we sit down with Elhadj Ndoye, whose story stretches from Senegal, West Africa, to Tucson, Arizona, and back again through a mission to help children in the country where his story began.

Elhadj moved to the United States in 1995, made Tucson home, earned his business degree from the University of Arizona, and built a successful career in banking and business development.

But his story took another turn.

Elhadj founded The Forgotten Children, a nonprofit dedicated to helping orphaned, impoverished, and homeless children in Senegal.

What started with providing basic necessities grew into something much bigger: a boarding school providing children with housing, food, education, stability, and opportunities to build self-sufficient futures.

In this episode, we talk about Elhadj’s journey, building a life in Tucson, his connection to Senegal, and what drove him to take action for children thousands of miles away.
