In this conversation, Lieke takes me beyond the understanding of how much pregnancy is shaped by the naturel worlds. Her creativity ascends from her own childhood rituals of walking on the earth barefoot, seeing the colours, feeling the textures and remembering how it is to be kin to birds, trees and the elements – and to the creative language that emerges in the intersection between intuition, fantasy and the body. 

Listening to her and talking to her, makes me long for emotional intimacy with my own body and how it interprets my perception of myself and the living breathing ecosystem around me – very much including the pregnant woman as such (an ecosystem).
