This podcast was originally conceived as a way to help people in marketing departments and the agencies they work with to break down the barriers of jargon, posturing and insecurity to spend more energy on the real work. While watching the 2026 World Cup (some might say too much) where rival fans celebrated together and assumptions about each other fell away, it struck me how important similar shared experiences are to what we do.

Marketing happens inside the human connection. Without considering this context, we're just pushing buttons and pulling levers. If we can look deeper than buying and selling, winning or losing, to listen, to understand, we can do better, more meaningful work. Work that we can truly be proud of.

I'm Jonathan Danz, Director of Ad Ops and Analytics at Digital Relativity, a full service marketing agency. I’ll be bringing my 20 years of marketing experience to the conversation, using it as a lens to look at the broader issues that can hold us back or set us free.
