But there&apos;s a heartbreaking reality to healthcare, and cancer in particular.</p><p>The messy and upsetting truth is that the number of people who can get the best care — if we can even agree on what that means, which we can&apos;t — is fractional. Untold numbers of people can&apos;t even get decent care, and millions of people get absolutely no care at all. This is why Within Reach exists: to begin to unwind, understand, and attempt to address the glaring, enormous problems plaguing cancer medicine and medical systems around the world. It&apos;s a lofty goal, but it&apos;s the one that I, Evan Young, as the host of this show, am going to attempt to tackle.</p><p>But even with decades of my own experience as a healthcare communications professional under my belt, I certainly can&apos;t tackle these problems on my own.
