Joey's Bio:

From banging on a toy drum at one year old to commanding stages across the U.S. and Europe, Joey Ashes is a powerhouse drummer whose career is built on raw talent, relentless work ethic, and a deep love for rhythm.

A decorated percussionist, while in high school, Joey earned first chair positions in multiple regional, district, and state-level honor and all-star bands. He is also a proud recipient of the prestigious John Philip Sousa Band Award, recognizing superior musicianship and dedication.

Post-high school, Joey dove headfirst into the rock and metal scene, performing in projects that opened for major acts like Flaw, Motograter, Dope, Crowbar, and Fear Factory. His versatility, discipline, and stage presence have since taken him far beyond those roots.

Today, Joey Ashes is the drummer, band leader, and tour manager for rising Texas Country artist Caden Gillard. With Gillard, he’s played legendary venues such as The Bluebird Café (Nashville, TN), Cain’s Ballroom (OK), Gruene Hall (TX), and EquiBlues Festival (France). His touring resume includes supporting performances for top artists like Zach Bryan, Koe Wetzel, Braxton Keith, Randall King, Frank Foster, and Drake White.
