This week is Revelation Week—a time to allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to open our eyes to what has always been true in Christ. As God reveals His truth, false identities begin to fall away, and we discover who we truly are and to whom we truly belong.

In today's episode, author Eric Hayes is joined by his friend David Kimball, who holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University and leads the Freedom in Christ curriculum at Triad Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Together they reflect on one of Scripture's most personal and comforting promises:

"Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine." — Isaiah 43:1 (NLT)

Their conversation explores the beautiful reality that our identity is not found in our past, our failures, our accomplishments, or the labels the world has placed upon us. Our identity is found in the One who created us, redeemed us, knows us personally, and calls us His own.

David also highlights Isaiah 43:4, where the Lord declares, "You are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you." These words invite us to rest in the assurance that we are deeply known, immeasurably valued, and eternally loved by God.

As you continue this journey of reflection and renewal, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any lie that has shaped your understanding of yourself and replace it with the unchanging truth of God's Word. Revelation begins when we believe what God says about us instead of what fear, shame, or the world has taught us to believe.
