    <description><![CDATA[<p>Moving home 10 years ago was not an easy decision to make. No one actually wants to move home with their parents. OK, well, maybe some do. But I was not one of those people. I wrestled with the idea of moving home, but came to see it as an opportunity to rebuild and discover a new relationship with my mom.</p><p><br/></p><p>What I actually came to discover is that you can’t change anyone. You can’t truly influence someone if they don’t want to be influenced. My desire to have an open healthy relationship with my mom is limited by her ability to have an open healthy relationship with herself.</p><p><br/></p><p>It took me many years and thousands of dollars with a life coach to really ground myself emotionally when it came to my relationship with my mom. </p><p><br/></p><p>This episode was hard to write because there’s so many layers to my relationship with her. So many years navigating our strenuous relationship. I didn’t know how to begin to describe it. As I listen to my very own episode back, I believe I did a really great job of describing the kind of mental and emotional space I was moving back to.</p><p><br/></p><p>Your environment really does play a factor in your life, and you can only influence your environment to a certain degree. </p><p><br/></p><p>My relationship with her also set the foundation for what this podcast stands for. It had me making more choices and more decisions with fear and limiting beliefs leading the way. In this week’s episode, I take you back to a time in my life where I was making choices that weren’t serving me. All of those choices added up to a decision to move home. I will more than likely deep dive these experiences in future episodes, but I wanted to give you a glimpse at what was happening prior to my move. </p><p> </p><p>I also share more about my shopping addiction. I was in denial of my addiction for so long. Sometimes it’s easier to put on a face and pretend everything’s fine rather than talk about what’s actually happening. I believe there are a lot of people out there living a life that isn’t completely serving them and denying that anything is wrong. We often times convince ourselves that we really truly do love ourselves or that we love the life we are living.     <description><![CDATA[<p>My goal for Permission to Rise Podcast is to create a foundation for this platform. In the last episode, I talked about my WHY. I talked about how I struggled in the past to create a foundation for my previous businesses. So I decided to create a better foundation for this podcast by narrowing down a few key components. I created five pillars for permission to Rise and I’d like to take a moment to break them down. I like to think of these pillars as the foundation of my journey so far. Each of them blends well together, like five huge pieces of a puzzle that build the foundation for taking control of your life and giving yourself permission to rise into the woman you are.</p><p>I know in the beginning I will have many personal stories and I’ll walk you through much of my life. Some stories I probably don’t need to share with you! However, I feel inclined to do so because I believe that it gives you more transparency and these stories may help you be able to better understand yourself. It’s truly the moments where I’ve dug deep that have allowed me to reshape my own foundation for my identity.
