The Omnipod 5 insulin pump, made by the company “insulet”, is currently the only tubeless insulin pump with automated insulin delivery capability and CGM connectivity on the market in the United States of America. We know DKA kills. And is often the first thing that occurs when people are newly diagnosed with diabetes. Dr. Ahn explains that CKM technology is not far from US approval, and could be an early indicator of DKA, even earlier than hyperglycemia and the alarms we get from CGM.
