Joe returns to his office to talk to his landlord, Vinnie Valentina. We meet Joe's beloved calico cat, Felony. Joe returns to the Tricky D stakeout, still hoping to do service of process.

Joe Fogg, newbie private detective/sometime process server, is out on a stakeout when his partner, Billy Planter aka "Peanut" joins him in a bunny costume. Joe sums up the case on his tape recorder "old school" and Billy mostly annoys Joe. Joe gets a call from his assistant, Ms. Buxton, and the stakeout has to be abandoned. What could "La Cucaracha" want with Joe Fogg?
