In this episode, I’m getting vulnerable about a "tech debacle" I dealt with for over a month and how it perfectly mirrors our spiritual walk when we get disconnected from the Father.

Inside This Episode:

• The 45-Day Email Struggle: I spent weeks frustrated because my domain email wasn't working, forcing me to tell people to reply to a different address. I tried to ignore it and "let it ride," but the worry stayed with me.
• Going to the Source: I finally stopped trying to fix it myself and contacted Google support. Within five minutes, a real person gave me the exact "MX records" I needed to copy and paste. The moment I followed the instructions, my connection was restored.
• Outside Sources vs. Internal Solutions: I realized I had been going to outside sources (like my website registrar) to fix a problem that was actually at the internal source (Google). Spiritually, we often do the same—looking for external fixes for internal soul problems when God is right there waiting.
• God as the Ultimate Consultant: Just like that support agent, God is a gentleman who needs our verbal permission to "enter our account". He doesn’t always fix it for us; instead, He gives us the tools, the code, and the placement so we can function properly.
• The "Copy and Paste" Season: I believe God is telling us to slow down, listen to His voice, and implement exactly what He says. When we reconnect to the Source, we can finally receive everything that has been waiting in our "account".

In this episode, we’re stepping away from our usual Proverbs study to focus on the one who died on the cross for our sins—the only lamb worthy to give us redemption. We look at Matthew 28:5-6, where the angel reminds us that He is not in the grave; He is risen!

Here is what we’re diving into today:

• The Power in You: The same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives inside of you and me. It’s the authority we carry every day to overcome obstacles in our lives, businesses, and leadership, even when we feel defeated.
• Leaning on Him: We reflect on Proverbs 3:5-6, reminding ourselves to lean not on our own understanding but on the one who redeemed us. I share how I went from being "broke, busted, and disgusted" to being fully redeemed because a debt was paid for my life.
• My Personal Turning Point: I share a bit of my story from January 9, 2005. I was "going to church," but I hadn't yet felt the resurrection on the inside until I finally got on my knees, exhausted and depleted, and asked God to loose the chains.
• Getting Better, Not Easier: Walking with Christ doesn't mean life becomes easy, but it means you get better through serving Him and serving others. As I always say, my worst day as a believer is still better than my best day out in the world.
• Beyond the Tradition: Today is about more than the mac and cheese, the ham, or the Easter eggs. It’s a time for deep reflection on the fact that without Christ, we wouldn't be here.

The Recipe for Results

I want you to think about instruction like a recipe. If you see a dish on TikTok and you want that exact result, you follow the recipe to a tea. It’s the same with your life and your business. Proverbs 4:10-11 tells us that when we receive God’s sayings and walk in the way of wisdom, our years will be many and we will be led in the right paths. If you want your vision to become a reality, you have to stay on the path God has set for you.

Navigating Frameworks and Avoiding the "Stupid Path"

Listen, we’ve all been there—drifting into the wrong direction without even realizing it. Proverbs 4:14 is clear: stay off the path of the wicked. In business, this means having the discernment to know which frameworks to follow. I always say: eat the meat and spit out the bones. If a business framework doesn't sit right with your spirit, there’s a reason for that. Follow the Light—Jesus—and stay aligned with like-minded believers who carry the Holy Spirit.

Ponder Your Path

I love Proverbs 4:26, which tells us to "ponder the path of your feet". To ponder means to study, investigate, and visualize where you are going. We need to make straight paths so we don't find ourselves "spinning our wheels" in spaces we were never meant to be. God wants us connected and healed, not dislocated by the wrong choices.

Here is what I’m leaning into today:

• The Secret to Great Peace: We’re looking at verses 1 and 2, which remind us to keep God’s commands in our hearts. This isn't about being legalistic; it’s about holding true to His word so that "length of days" and peace are added to us. To me, this "length of days" means that spiritually, emotionally, and mentally, every day and every season can be a good season because we are focused on His call. When you love His law, nothing causes you to stumble.
• Trust Over Understanding: We have to get out of our own heads. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. Your own heart can lead you to the wrong places, so instead, acknowledge Him in everything you’re doing today and let Him direct your specific path and assignment.
• Confidence is Built-In: Many of us are searching for confidence, but it’s already on the inside of you because the Holy Spirit lives there. Verse 26 says, "For the Lord will be your confidence". You don't have to conjure it up yourself; you were built for His confidence because you were created in His image.
• Sweet Sleep for the Journey: For my fellow business owners and leaders, I know the path ahead can feel long. But God says when you walk in His wisdom, you can lie down without fear and your sleep will be sweet. Even when trouble or "terror" comes—and it will—you can trust that He will keep your foot from being caught.

This month, we are breaking down the Book of Proverbs, and today we are diving straight into Proverbs Chapter 2 to talk about the value of wisdom. I don’t want this to just be white noise in your background; I want you to tap into what God has for your life and your business.

Here are the key takeaways from our deep dive into the first few verses of Proverbs 2:

• The Recipe for Wisdom: I shared that wisdom isn't just something that happens; there is a recipe to follow. If you receive God's words, treasure His commands, and incline your ear—meaning you are intentionally listening and pointing your focus upward—you will find the knowledge of God.
• The Word is Your Map: Just like in the movies where people fight for a treasure map, we have the ultimate roadmap in the Word of God. While people love to argue over theology and Greek translations, I’m a geek for that stuff too, but remember: no amount of theology will ever change the personal experience I’ve had with Jesus Christ.
• Understanding the "Then": In verse 9, the Bible says "Then you will understand." This is the result of doing the work in the previous verses. When you follow God's recipe, you gain three specific things: 
  • Righteousness (Identity): Understanding who you are in Him.
  • Justice (What to Do): Gaining clarity on the actions and outcomes you need to pursue.
  • Equity (Decision-Making): Learning how to make moral, solid decisions in your business and life.
• A Good Path for Your Business: God wants you on a good path in your church and your business. True confidence comes from knowing your value is found in Him, not in the frameworks or labels people try to place on you.
• Pause and Listen: As business owners, we have to pause and listen—not for what we want to hear, but for how God’s wisdom actually applies to our lives. Remember, the confidence you need is already built in on the inside of you.

I’ve made a decision to go deeper this month into the things God has called me to share so that I can help instruct and build you as you lead right where God has placed you. We are diving straight into the wisdom of Proverbs 1:1-7 to break down what it actually means to build with the confidence of God.

Deep Dive: The Pillars of Kingdom Wisdom

In this episode, I’m digging into three specific words from the scripture that will transform your leadership and your life:

• Perceive (biyn): This isn't just about hearing; it’s about discerning, distinguishing, and understanding deeply. I used to think perception was just my own take on things, but it’s actually about separating God's truth from the noise and distractions of life. Most of us miss the truth not because it’s hidden, but because we don’t slow down enough to "chew" on the Word and let the Holy Spirit sharpen our awareness.
• Prudence (ormah): I want to talk to my business owners here. Prudence is wise strategy and foresight. It’s the ability to think ahead so you don’t lose traction when the initial "fire" of a project fades out. It prevents you from making permanent decisions based on temporary circumstances. Prudence asks: "Where does this lead me, and is this aligned with who I am becoming?".
• Enigma (hadah): These are the riddles or hidden truths of God that require effort to understand. If you want to develop depth and train your mind for complexity, you have to pursue the "why" behind what you are doing. Reflection and pursuit are what take you from a shallow understanding to a deep, confident conviction.

The Bottom Line: If I don't perceive, I’ll misunderstand. If I don't have prudence, I’ll misstep. And if I avoid the enigmas, I’ll stay shallow. We were built for more than that.
