Top of the Morning: Baltimore is a live Twitch show and podcast hosted by Baltimore creator and content producer Carlos Polk (@iloswork). From 10 AM–2/3 PM, we break the city down in segments – just like a morning radio show – but from the point of view of the people who actually live here.

Every episode starts with a greeting and a front-page breakdown of Baltimore: City Hall moves, public safety debates, youth justice, housing fights, and how decisions at the top hit real neighborhoods. Then we slide into business and the bag – why stores are closing, which blocks are coming back, how the local economy is really doing, and what it means for workers, small businesses, and creatives.

From there it’s culture and club: Baltimore music, events, and creators, plus how our sound and style are showing up everywhere. We close the loop with big-stage stories in hip hop and pop culture – like a 50 Cent vs. Diddy documentary – and ask what it really means for the culture, not just for clicks.

All takes are grounded in local reporting and public data (AFRO, WMAR Channel 2, Baltimore Banner, official stats), then filtered through honest conversation, Twitch chat, and Carlos’ experience as a Baltimore-raised creative and documentarian. No “Donkey of the Day,” no fake outrage—just segments, facts, and real talk about what’s happening in and around Baltimore City.
