The thing you have been meaning to do for days, weeks, or maybe even longer.</p><p>In this episode, we are talking about one of the simplest ways to beat resistance and build momentum: make the doorway tiny.</p><p>Because most of the time, the hardest part is not the task itself. It is starting the task.</p><p>It is the space between not doing and doing.</p><p>It is standing at the doorway, dreading it, negotiating with yourself, scrolling, procrastinating, and convincing yourself you need to feel more ready before you begin.</p><p>So instead of committing to the whole thing, commit to the smallest possible entry point.</p><p>Do not commit to the full workout. Commit to putting your shoes on and walking out the door.</p><p>Do not commit to writing the whole chapter. Commit to opening the document and writing one sentence.</p><p>Do not commit to cleaning the whole kitchen. Commit to two minutes of dishes.</p><p>And here is the key: you genuinely give yourself permission to stop after two minutes.</p><p>Most of the time, you will not want to.
