Chandler is in Crisis! Nana's dead! Ross is in a hole! Is this the worst ever week for our heros or a random 7 days in late fall that will be quickly forgotten?  You'll never guess which unless you listen.

In this weeks episode our friends are confronted with the most evil foe of all, the network gimmick.  Would they overcome the odds and make something funny in this world of crass consumerism or would they crash and burn into the pits of obscurity.  Whose to know?

Episode 6, a quarter of the way through season one and we get into some of the best jokes of the first season, and also some serious discussion about gender roles in film and relationships, Chandler trying to be a good guy, and what it was like to be a struggling artist in the 90's.  Or so I assume.  I was a struggling teenager so I'm mostly just guessing. 

Also Matt Leblanc dances and Ass-acts all in the same episode, whats not to like.

This ones a little rough, all the creepy incest jokes can't distract from the casual racism in this one.  Plus we have to ask ourselves the question, how bad did Rachel smell by the end of the Episode four timeline and is that why everyone is so mean to her?

Are the ladies creeps or just opportunistic? Is Ross's so pathetic its almost a superpower?  Tune in to find out.

The first time we see this comedy just be a comedy.  Is it funny or just painful.  Plus why were banks in 90's TV so incompetent in favour of the consumer? 

The biggest narrative spark for the whole series is dropped, does it still have any heat or does it fizzle out?  Plus a riveting discussion of early nineties pasta presentation.

Its the first one.  My thoughts on the very first episode of one of the biggest shows of a generation, seen through the lens of one of its biggets fans trying to decide if its still any good.
