Simunye is a social capital initiative by non-profit school, Christel House South Africa in partnership with the Julius Baer Foundation. The programme connects 12 schools from across the wealth spectrum in the Western Cape, building bridges across the wealth divide. The model focuses on developing deep connections in smaller groups, by rotating and directly experiencing each other’s schools. The direct contact along with our incorporated social capital curriculum helps students develop the necessary tools to be confident in multicultural environments. 

Social capital is the shared value that comes from our connections and relationships with each other. It’s the strength of community ties, which helps us work together and support one another. Through real stories and honest conversations with leaders in education, influential entrepreneurs, celebrities and celebrated researchers, The Simunye Show explores challenges, learnings, and seeks a path to the common ground that brings us together.
