Take a moment, come enter into a deeper spirituality, transform yesterday’s fight with tomorrow’s life by the restorative power of Solas Chrìost [Christ’s Light]. Join Poet Craig A. Roberts from Scriptorium Aotearoa for a time of prayerful mediation.

Overview of Poet Craig A. Roberts

Poet Craig A. Roberts is tangata tiriti of Aotearoa, New Zealand. He is an author known for his deep explorations of spirituality and leadership in facing the turbulent journeys of life. He writes from Scriptorium Aotearoa on the Kapiti Coast, where he draws inspiration from the ocean wilderness and his Celtic Christian heritage.

Craig's poetry often explores themes of love and pain, reflecting a unique perspective that resonates with both personal and universal experiences. While many New Zealand poets also delve into similar landscapes of mind, emotion and desire, Craig’s approach combines his scholarly background with a Celtic bardic style, setting him apart in the contemporary poetry scene.

Literary Contributions

Notable Works:

Waymarks for the Celtic Pilgrim Journey: This book features meditations and prayers, reflecting on faith, intimacy and spirituality. His writing encourages readers to engage with their inner lives connecting deeper into God.

Slow Wisdom: In this work, Craig discusses the concept of "slow wisdom" and its relevance in contemporary leadership and community dynamics. With a PhD in leadership studies, Craig integrates his academic background into his poetry, addressing the challenges faced by leaders today.

Engagement and Community

Poet Craig A. Roberts work aims to inspire others to explore their spirituality and creativity. He is a member of the international Community of Aidan and Hilda. His contributions to literature has been recognised both locally and internationally. He is also associated with organizations that support writers and their development.

Tāngata tiriti: Te Reo Maori meaning ‘people of the Treaty of Waitangi’.

Scriptorium: A place of prayerful writing
