In order to do the Lord’s work, we must resolve conflicts in the church in a biblical manner.

When the enemy opposes us as he surely will, we should respond with prayer, work, vigilance, and focus on the Lord.

We get right with God by believing and confessing that Jesus is the risen Lord.

To accomplish God’s purpose, we need a common vision, dedicated leaders, and willing workers who do their part.

No matter what, we must obey God by proclaiming and teaching that Jesus Christ is the risen Savior and Lord.

To serve God realistically, we must learn to wait on Him, to work with people, and to wrestle wisely with problems.

Because we are all prone to the deadly sin of hypocrisy, we should diligently pursue godly character.

The person God uses has a burden for His people, a vision for His purpose, and a commitment to His purpose.

Respond to persecution by affirming our commitment to God, to His people, and to His work in the world.

When Jesus Christ returns as King, He will defeat His enemies and establish His righteous kingdom over all the earth.

We all should seek to be confident witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ.

God has graciously provided a fountain for sinners to be cleansed so that they may become His holy people.

Our fleeting lives can have value only if we live wisely before the eternal God.

God’s mighty power will save His people according to His purpose 

To proclaim the gospel, we must exalt the Lord Jesus, confront sinners with their guilt and the danger of judgment, and offer God’s grace to those who repent.

The greatest tragedy possible is to reject Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd.

God’s miraculous gift of salvation should cause us to praise Him with exuberant joy so that others will marvel at His mighty power.

God’s abundant promises for His people should motivate us to pray for their fulfillment.

A healthy church is marked by continual devotion to the Lord, to His people, and to His work in the world.

Because Jesus Christ is King and He is coming to reign, we who are subject to Him should rejoice greatly.

To receive God’s remission/forgiveness, we must repent of our sins and obediently believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

God brings down the proud, but He helps those who are helpless, who depend on His deliverance.

God wants us to be growing in His joy and gladness.

When the Lord dwells in our midst, we will treat the elderly and children properly.

A proper understanding of the Bible’s teaching on God’s sovereignty affects our whole understanding of God, of man, and of salvation. 

Because God has promised to bless us abundantly, we should be a blessing to others.

Since God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ who will judge the world, sinners must repent.

Outward religion without inward reality results in spiritual sclerosis.

The meaning of Pentecost is God’s equipping His church with the power of His Holy Spirit so that He will be glorified among the nations.

Since God will judge all nations and send His King-Priest to reign, we must diligently obey Him.

Christianity is credible because it is based on the witness of the apostles, who were godly men of integrity.

God will be relentless in judging all sin.

To do Jesus’ work, the church must have a solid foundation, sufficient power, a sharp focus, and a sure hope.

To prevent spiritual burnout, see the importance of God’s work and depend on the continual supply of His Holy Spirit.

By the power of the Holy Spirit the church is obediently to continue to do and teach what Jesus Christ began.

God cleanses sinners through Jesus Christ on the basis of His grace and then uses them to serve Him as they obediently walk in His ways.

Genuine repentance involves heartfelt sorrow before God for our sins and prompt action to correct them.

The godly reaction to sin is to recognize sin from Scripture, to mourn over sin, and to confess sin without excuse to the God of mercy.

We should pray earnestly for revival among God’s people.

God blesses the work that seeks to honor Him by humble faith, honorable integrity, and Christ-centered worship.

Why does God, who loves so much, and who makes much of us so extremely, remind us again and again that He does all this for His own glory? Why does God remind us over and over that He makes much of us in a way that is designed ultimately to make much of Him? 

To have God’s hand of blessing on us, we must study and obey His Word, with a view to teaching others and glorifying God for everything.

God’s aim is to give us great joy in Him and His sovereign ways.

To grow in Jesus Christ, seek His peace in every situation, seek His presence every day, respectfully submit to His word as your authority, and saturate your life with His grace.

To overcome discouragement, we need a fresh encounter with God’s Word, we need to get back to work for Him and to persevere, trusting Him to accomplish His will through us.

To help a disorderly believer, lovingly exhort him to work, do not enable his irresponsible lifestyle, and exercise church discipline if he does not respond to correction.

Whenever you make a commitment to the Lord, be prepared to face the enemy’s unrelenting attempt to set you back.

Pray for the word of the Lord to spread and that the Lord’s people, relying on His faithfulness, will stand fast in Him in the spiritual battle.

How do you begin again with God? Ezra 3 shows us four things:

To stand fast and not fall away in your trials, keep God’s perspective with regard to eternity and time.

God is faithful to His chosen people, to chasten and discipline them for their sins and to restore them, so that they might live faithfully to His covenant.

Serve the Lord prayerfully, out of godly character, joyfully in God's power, and for God's glory.

Spiritual renewal requires God’s great power working according to God's gracious promises for God's glorious purpose.

When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven, He will deal out everlasting punishment to unbelievers but share His everlasting glory with His saints.

Do not love the world

A healthy church is distinct from the world, bathed in the grace and peace of the gospel, growing in faith and love, and persevering in trials as it looks to God’s kingdom.

Christian living means living on the Word of God. 

The church is a community that seeks to become entirely holy.

Sin is yielding to depression. Sin is not taking the armor of God. Sin is not waging spiritual warfare. 

While we must not quench the Holy Spirit’s working in our midst, we must be discerning so as not to fall prey to false spiritual experiences or false teaching.

We should treasure God above all else.

God commands us to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks.

The prosperity of the wicked is short-lived and their doom is eternal, but the blessings of the godly are eternal, whereas their trials are short-lived.

The Lord wants us to minister sensitively to one another and live lovingly in the church and in the world.

God’s will is for His people to be sexually pure by knowing Him and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

To grow in your walk with the Lord, seek to please Him by learning and obeying His commandments.

Believers are responsible for helping restore wandering sinners to the truth. 

If we truly care for one another, we will rejoice when we hear of others’ stability in the faith and we will pray for their continued spiritual growth.

Since the prayer of the righteous is powerfully effective, we should be motivated to pray.

If we truly care for one another, we will want to be together to strengthen, establish, and encourage one another spiritually.

All of life should be lived with a God-ward, God-dependent focus, shared together with God’s people.

To persevere under persecution, believe God’s Word, imitate other persevering believers, and trust that God will judge those who persecute His people.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we must be truthful in our communication so that we do not fall under judgment.

Effective discipleship is founded on the gospel proclaimed in love through people of godly integrity with the goal of disciples who walk worthily of God and His glory.

When you encounter trials, look at the prophets and Job as examples of patient endurance.

Effective discipleship is built on a godly message, a godly manner, and a godly motive.

When you are wronged, wait patiently on the Lord, who is coming soon righteously to judge every person.

Genuine Christians receive the gospel, turn to God from idols, serve God, wait expectantly for Jesus to come, and preach the gospel to others.

Because wealth, or riches, or money can be a dangerous trap, we should be careful not to use our wealth or our money or our riches in an ungodly manner, but rather to be faithful. 

True conversions come through faithful witnesses who present the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit, resulting in changed lives that spread the gospel to others.

We can be assured that God abides in us and we in Him if we see His Holy Spirit producing in us love for one another and confession of the truth about Jesus Christ.

How do you keep on going in a path of obedience to Jesus Christ -- say, in some relationship or some ministry -- how do you keep going month after month for years or even decades when there are emotional and relational and spiritual and financial obstacles, and when the normal human encouragements evaporate, and you feel forgotten?

To resolve wars and fights, stop judging others and respectfully submit to God’s authoritative Word.

You can know that you are elect if God has powerfully changed your life through your reception of the gospel.

To resolve wars and fights, respectfully submit to God, resist the devil, and repent of all sin. 

The church that makes an impact consists of people transformed by the gospel.

We must love one another because God is love and He showed it by sending His Son as the propitiation for our sins.
