Through His life, death, and resurrection, we are forgiven, declared righteous, and brought near to God by grace alone through faith alone.

To worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness is to approach Him with awe, purity, and glad submission, recognizing that true worship belongs to Him alone.

There is no one like our God. He alone is eternal, uncreated, self-existent, holy, wise, and sovereign over all things. While everything in creation is dependent, changing, and limited, God stands above all in unmatched majesty and glory. Yet the wonder of the gospel is that this great and holy God has shown mercy to sinners through Jesus Christ. 

God’s greatness is beyond our ability to fully understand. If creation alone leaves us in awe, how much more the Creator Himself? In this episode, we reflect on Psalm 145 and the unsearchable greatness of God—a greatness that humbles us when we do not understand His ways and comforts us because nothing in our lives is too overwhelming for Him. Because God is infinitely wise, powerful, and faithful, we can trust Him even when we cannot trace Him.

Fear of the future often reveals a heart that wants certainty more than trust. In this episode, we consider how anxiety about tomorrow exposes our struggle to rest in God’s sovereignty, goodness, and daily care. Even Jesus Himself experienced sorrow, as seen when He wept at Lazarus’s tomb (John 11:35), showing that He understands our pain. Though loss is a real and painful part of life, it is not the final word for the believer. Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, we have the hope of a future where death, mourning, and pain will be no more (Revelation 21:4). Until that day, God faithfully walks with His people, comforting them and sustaining them through every loss.

Faith, hope, and love define the Christian life today. Yet one day faith will become sight and hope will be fulfilled. Love alone will continue forever. For that reason, Paul declares: “the greatest of these is love.”

Matthew 11:28

Proverbs 16:11

Her message is not hidden or exclusive; it's clear, righteous, and true. She offers something more valuable than silver or gold: God's instruction and discernment. This passage reminds us that wisdom is accessible to all who will listen, and it ultimately points us to Christ, in whom all true wisdom is found.

Proverbs 8:1-11

Psalm 25:4-5

When injustice surrounds us—whether personal or public—God does not call us to despair but to faithful obedience. Micah 6:8 gives us our response: “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.” In the face of unfairness, we look to the God whose throne is founded on righteousness and justice (Psalm 89:14), who promises that vengeance belongs to Him (Romans 12:19), and who sees every hidden wrong (Hebrews 4:13). We follow Christ’s example—who, though treated with ultimate injustice, “continued entrusting Himself to Him who judges justly” (1 Peter 2:23). So we live as people shaped by mercy, anchored in truth, and humbled before the God who will one day make all things right.

Micah 6:8

Grief visits us in many forms—through the loss of loved ones, tragic events, or the deep sorrow over our own sin. But the Bible assures us that grief is not a sign of weakness or lack of faith. Rather, it is a place where God meets us. Psalm 34:18 promises, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Whether your heart is shattered by loss or heavy with regret, God draws close. He comforts, restores, and redeems our sorrow. So don’t run from your grief—bring it to the Lord. Lament honestly, wait patiently, and hope deeply, for “weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Psalm 30:5). Let your tears become prayers, and your grief become worship, as you cling to the God who never lets go.

Psalm 34:18

When life feels heavy and your heart grows weary, Psalm 121 offers solid hope for the soul. In this episode of Moments of Worship, Pastor Keith McMinn guides us through this beloved psalm, reminding us where to look when our strength is gone:

When you feel like giving up, God’s Word calls you to lift your eyes and look to Jesus. Hebrews 12:1–2 reminds us that we are not running alone—we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses and called to run with endurance by fixing our eyes on Christ, the founder and perfecter of our faith. He endured the cross for the joy set before Him—and now, He strengthens us to press on. Lay aside every weight and sin that slows you down. The race is hard, but Jesus is with you, and the reward is certain. “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

Hebrews 12:1-2

"And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you."

Suffering can feel overwhelming and unending, but God’s Word reminds us it is only for "a little while" compared to the eternal glory that awaits us in Christ. In this episode, Pastor Keith encourages listeners to cling to the promise that the God of all grace is not distant from our pain. He is actively working to restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish His people—even through trials.

1 Peter 5:10

Death is certain, but so is the promise of Christ. In John 11:25–26, Jesus declares, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live…” These words offer not sentiment, but solid hope—grounded in the finished work of the risen Christ. As believers, we don’t face death with fear, but with assurance that to depart is “to be with Christ, for that is far better” (Philippians 1:23). If you’re unsure about eternity, cling to the truth of Romans 10:9: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” To encourage your heart, I’ve included a special demo at the end of this episode—a song my daughter Sarah and I wrote from Romans 10. Let your fear of death be swallowed up in the hope of resurrection—and let the Word of God dwell richly in your heart through truth and song.

John 11:25-26

When the enemy attacks, the Christian’s response isn’t fear—it’s faith-filled readiness. Ephesians 6:10–11 urges us, “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Spiritual warfare is real, but so is our defense. God equips us with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and His Word so we can stand firm, not in our own strength, but in His. So when you feel discouraged, distracted, or under fire—don’t retreat. Arm yourself with God’s promises, draw near to His people, and stand firm in Christ. The enemy may be cunning, but our Savior has already won the war. Let that victory give you strength to fight today’s battle.

Ephesians 6:10-11

In moments when the weight of life feels like too much—when deadlines loom, responsibilities pile up, and your soul feels anxious—God offers something we can’t manufacture: perfect peace. Isaiah 26:3 reminds us, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” The peace we long for is not found in control or completion, but in trust—anchoring our thoughts on the Lord and resting in His care. Whether you're facing pressure in ministry, in family life, or in your daily work, the call is the same: fix your mind on God, and trust Him. He will hold you steady. Don’t let overwhelm drive you inward—let it drive you to Christ, your peace, your portion, and your strength.

Isaiah 26:3

The world offers many beautiful gifts—relationships, work, art, and creation itself—but it also tempts us to love those gifts more than the Giver. When our hearts are drawn to possessions, performance, or approval, we risk trading eternal treasure for temporary satisfaction. Jesus reminds us, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). And James warns, “Friendship with the world is enmity with God” (James 4:4). The antidote to worldliness isn’t merely restraint—it’s realignment. Isaiah 26:3 encourages us, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” When we fix our thoughts on Christ and set our hearts on heaven, the grip of worldliness begins to loosen, and peace returns. Fix your eyes upward. Treasure Christ above all.

In this episode of Moments of Worship, Pastor Keith reflects on a past experience with a difficult musician—someone he tried to serve and love, but who remained critical and resistant. This personal story sets the stage for today’s Fighter Verse, 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, which describes a love that is patient, kind, enduring, and selfless: a love that often feels impossible in messy, real-life relationships.

But this passage isn’t about a love we can generate on our own. It’s a supernatural love that flows from Christ, who first loved us. As Tim Keller said, “Love is not an emotion. When anger rises quickly, James 1:19–20 calls us to a better way: “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” Anger often feels justified, but Scripture reminds us it rarely leads to anything good. Instead, God invites us to slow down, to listen before reacting, and to reflect His character—not our impulses. In Christ, we are being formed into people who respond with grace, not rage. If you're struggling with anger, run to the Savior who is slow to anger and full of mercy, and let His righteousness shape your response.

James 1:19-20

When envy and comparison grip your heart, Psalm 73:25–26 offers a life-giving realignment: “Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” In a world that constantly invites us to measure ourselves against others, God calls us to remember that our true treasure isn’t status, success, or stuff—it’s Him. When we fix our eyes on Christ, our craving for earthly gain is eclipsed by the sufficiency of His presence. Let this truth quiet your striving: God is enough. You are loved, chosen, and secure in Him.

Psalm 73:25-26

When shame and guilt whisper that you’re beyond grace, Romans 8:1 shouts a greater truth: in Christ, there is now no condemnation. Jesus bore the full weight of your sin—past, present, and future—so that you could walk in freedom. Condemnation is the enemy’s lie; Christ’s righteousness is your new reality. Reformed voices like Martin Luther and John Calvin remind us that our hope is not in ourselves, but in the finished work of Christ.

Let this truth anchor your heart today: if you are in Christ, you are fully loved, fully forgiven, and forever secure. Don’t carry the weight He already bore. Walk in the joy of His mercy, and live free.

Romans 8:1

Galatians 6:9 — “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

In this episode of Moments of Worship, we offer encouragement to those who feel drained from faithfully doing good—serving others, loving sacrificially, or laboring quietly behind the scenes. Weariness is real, but God's Word speaks directly to our tired hearts. Galatians 6:9 reminds us that perseverance in doing good is not in vain. Though the harvest may feel delayed, God's promises are sure: “in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

You may not see the fruit yet, but God sees your faithfulness. Let this verse be a call to hold fast—to keep praying, loving, serving, and obeying, knowing that Christ is with you in your exhaustion. As Spurgeon once said, “God is worth waiting for.” So take heart today: your labor in the Lord is never wasted.

Galatians 6:9

In this episode of Moments of Worship, we confront the quiet but dangerous sin of coveting—the restless desire for what others have and the discontentment it breeds in our hearts. Whether it's wealth, relationships, status, or possessions, coveting draws our eyes away from God’s goodness and tempts us to believe that He is not enough.

But Hebrews 13:5 calls us back to truth:

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

This promise reminds us that true contentment isn’t found in gaining more, but in resting in the faithful presence of God. When we remember that He will never leave or forsake us, our cravings give way to gratitude, and our hearts return to worship. Christ is our treasure—and in Him, we truly lack nothing.

Hebrews 13:5

When fear grips your heart—whether it’s fear of the unknown, fear of loss, or fear of failure—God offers something far more powerful than reassurance: His presence. In this episode, we reflect on Isaiah 41:10, where the Lord says: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Fear may visit, but it doesn’t have to rule you. God does not promise the absence of trouble, but He promises the presence of strength, help, and comfort in the midst of it. Let this be your anchor: You are not alone. Trust the One who holds you fast and walks with you through every fear.

Isaiah 41:10

What do you do when God feels distant—when your prayers seem unanswered, your Bible reading feels dry, or your heart feels cold? In this episode of Moments of Worship, Pastor Keith gently reminds us that God hasn’t moved—we have. Yet the invitation still stands: “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you” (James 4:8). We are called to draw near through humility, confession, and a renewed hunger for His presence.

But in our most isolated moments, God's Word speaks with unshakable comfort: “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8). These words, given to Israel and echoed throughout Scripture, are a reminder that God’s presence is not conditional—it’s constant.

In this episode, we take refuge in the truth that we are never truly alone. God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He promises, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Jesus Himself was forsaken on the cross so that we never have to be. So when the silence feels loud and the loneliness deep, remember: the Lord goes before you, walks beside you, and holds you fast. Take courage—He is with you.

Deuteronomy 31:8

In this episode of Moments of Worship, we reflect on the challenge of waiting on God. Whether we’re praying for guidance, healing, or breakthrough, waiting can feel like silence. But Ecclesiastes 3:11 assures us that God makes everything beautiful—not randomly, but “in its time.” His delays are never wasted. They are purposeful pauses where He shapes our trust, strengthens our faith, and aligns our hearts with His.

As you wait, remember Isaiah 40:31: “They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.” Don’t give in to impatience or despair. Instead, lean into God’s promises. Take heart in Psalm 27:14—“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage.” The waiting may be long, but His timing is never wrong. Trust Him—your story is still being written, and His ending will be beautiful.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

In this episode of Moments of Worship, we reflect on the quiet but powerful pull of idolatry in our lives. 1 John 5:21 offers a tender yet urgent warning: “Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” Idols today may not look like carved statues, but they often take the form of good things that have taken God’s rightful place—success, comfort, control, approval, even ministry itself. When we begin to trust in or treasure these more than God, our worship shifts. This episode encourages us to examine our hearts and remember that idolatry isn’t just about what we bow to—it’s about what we rely on, prioritize, and pursue.

But God calls us to something better: the surpassing joy of knowing and worshiping Him alone. Scripture exhorts us to “put to death… covetousness, which is idolatry” (Colossians 3:5) and to fix our affections on Christ, who alone satisfies the soul. Psalm 73:25 reminds us of the cry of a heart fully devoted to God: “Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides You.” As we fight idolatry, let us return again and again to the beauty, glory, and sufficiency of Christ.

In this episode of Moments of Worship, we explore how bitterness and unforgiveness quietly take root and distort our hearts, relationships, and even our worship. But God calls us to something better. Ephesians 4:31–32 exhorts us to put away bitterness and instead clothe ourselves with kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgiveness—not because others always deserve it, but because Christ has forgiven us.

Forgiveness isn’t forgetting or minimizing the hurt. It’s trusting that Jesus already bore the weight of our sins and theirs. Through Him, we’re freed to release the need for revenge and walk in love. 

God has no beginning or end. He always was, is and will be. This is hard for us to understand as we have finite minds and God is infinite.  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (Psalm 90:2)

As followers of Jesus, we are not defined by the values of this passing age but by the hope of transformation and glory. One day, our Savior will return and, by His sovereign power, make our lowly bodies like His glorious body. Until then, we are called to walk in faithful obedience, fixing our gaze on Christ and those who model His life well.

In Philippians 3:12–16, the Apostle Paul paints a vivid picture of the Christian life as a forward-moving journey rooted in grace. Acknowledging that he hasn’t arrived at spiritual perfection, Paul humbly presses on—not to gain Christ, but because Christ has already made him His own. His focus is singular: to leave behind the weight of the past and to strain ahead with purpose toward the prize—the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. This mindset, Paul says, marks true spiritual maturity. It’s not complacency, but continual pursuit. As believers, we are called to think this way—to live with heaven in view, grounded in what we’ve already received, and moving forward in joyful obedience. This passage invites us to worship not from a place of striving for acceptance, but from the security of belonging, as we press on with eyes fixed on Christ.

Paul’s longing in Philippians 3:9–11 is to be found in Christ, not resting on his own righteousness, but fully dependent on the righteousness that comes by faith. This union with Christ leads not only to justification, but also to a deepening experience of knowing Christ in both His resurrection power and His sufferings, as God conforms us to His likeness.

In today’s episode, we reflect on Paul’s call to “rejoice in the Lord” and to “put no confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:1–3 reminds us that our righteousness and joy are not rooted in our achievements, background, or religious works, but in Christ alone.
