Sandro Monetti is a British-born entertainment journalist, author, broadcaster, producer, playwright, and media personality who has built a distinguished career covering Hollywood from Los Angeles. Originally from Blackpool, England, he studied journalism at the University of Central Lancashire before beginning his career in British newspapers and magazines. Early positions included reporting for the Blackpool Evening Gazette, writing for Smash Hits magazine, and serving as an entertainment correspondent for the Daily Star and a television correspondent for the News of the World. 

After relocating to Los Angeles in the late 1990s, Monetti became a familiar face and voice in entertainment journalism. He worked as a Hollywood correspondent for Sky Television, Express Newspapers, BBC Radio, and numerous international media outlets. Simon Napier-Bell who is one of the most influential and unconventional figures in modern music history, with a career spanning more than six decades as a musician, songwriter, producer, manager, author, filmmaker, and entrepreneur.

Born in London in 1939, he first pursued music as a jazz trumpeter before returning to England in the early 1960s to work in film editing and music production. He helped write the English lyrics for Dusty Springfield’s hit “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” then moved into artist management during the explosion of British rock music.

Napier-Bell first gained major recognition managing The Yardbirds, working alongside legendary guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. He later worked with acts including Marc Bolan, Japan, Ultravox, Boney M., Asia, and numerous international artists.

He became internationally famous in the 1980s as co-manager of Wham!, helping guide the careers of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley during the group’s global success. His greatest achievement came in 1985 when he successfully negotiated Wham!’s historic concerts in Communist China, making them the first Western pop act to perform there during the Cold War era.

Beyond management, Napier-Bell became a respected music historian and author. His books include "You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me", "Black Vinyl White Powder", "I’m Coming to Take You to Lunch", and "Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay", all offering insider perspectives on the global music business.

In recent years he has also directed documentaries and remained active as a speaker and consultant within the entertainment industry. Now based largely in Thailand, he continues to travel internationally while developing new creative projects.

TeaFlix Interview with Liberty DeVitto

Liberty DeVitto (born Liberatori) grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in an Italian-American family. His father served as a New York City police officer, and his upbringing was rooted in a working-class environment.

He developed an early interest in music, first learning the snare drum in school. A turning point came around age 11 when he received a used drum kit from a cousin. However, his true inspiration arrived in 1964 after watching The Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show, which convinced him to pursue drumming seriously. 

As a teenager, he was also influenced by rock drummer Dino Danelli, helping shape his energetic, hard-hitting style.

DeVitto’s major break came in the mid-1970s when he joined Billy Joel’s band. He became part of Joel’s classic lineup beginning with the 1976 album Turnstiles, and remained his drummer for roughly 30 years. 

During that time, DeVitto played on many of Joel’s most successful recordings, including:

The Stranger (1977)

52nd Street (1978)

Glass Houses (1980)

An Innocent Man (1983)

His powerful, driving drumming style became a defining element of Joel’s sound, contributing to records that collectively sold over 150 million copies worldwide. 

Beyond Joel, DeVitto also worked as a session drummer with major artists such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon, and Meat Loaf.

After decades of collaboration, DeVitto’s relationship with Billy Joel deteriorated, and he left the band following the 2006 tour but in later years the two reconciled personally and Billy even wrote the foreword to Liberty’s fantastic book.Liberty: “ Life, Billy & The Pursuit of Happiness.”

DeVitto has four daughters, including actress Torrey DeVitto. His life has had its ups and downs including divorce and the pressures of long-term touring - topics he later addressed in his memoir.

After leaving Joel’s band, DeVitto remained active in music and other ventures:

He co-founded the rock band The Slim Kings and later became a member of The Lords of 52nd Street, which performs classic Billy Joel music live.

He continued to perform, tour, and collaborate with various artists, maintaining a presence in the music industry.

More recently, he published his autobiography Liberty: Life, Billy and the Pursuit of Happiness, offering an inside look at his career and personal struggles. 

He supports the nonprofit Little Kids Rock, helping provide instruments and music education to underserved children.

As of the 2020s, he continues performing, recording, writing, and appearing at music events and clinics, remaining an active figure in rock drumming. And even writing forewords for OTHER people’s books such as MY forthcoming Innovative Ink Publishing tome called “They Didn’t Start The Fire” - more on that later.

Liberty DeVitto is widely regarded as one of the defining drummers of late 20th-century pop-rock. From his Brooklyn upbringing and early Beatles inspiration to his three-decade tenure with Billy Joel, he helped shape some of the most recognizable recordings in modern music.

Born in Lawton, Oklahoma into a military family, Bill Lynch grew up everywhere from Tokyo to London and across the continental United States. While living in England, at a time when the Beatles were still playing Hamburg and Liverpool, Bill picked up the guitar at age 11 and never put it down.

He played in bands throughout high school and college before leaving the Department of Visual Art at the University of Kansas to pursue music full time. His first serious band, Together, opened for Vanilla Fudge and Johnny Winter, and played the 1969 Kansas City Fun Fair alongside Iron Butterfly, The Steve Miller Band, Wilson Pickett, Strawberry Alarm Clock, and The Cowsills. The band even performed on second base at Kansas City’s Municipal Stadium before a Yankees–Royals game.

After Together came Tide and other projects including The Bill Lynch Band and a long-running duo with harmonica ace Lee McBee. Lynch and McBee shared stages with Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Les McCann, Paul Butterfield, Buddy Guy, and Junior Wells.

In 1985 Lynch rode a motorcycle to Los Angeles. Soon after arriving he saw Jack Mack and the Heart Attack at Trancas in Malibu, met drummer Claude Pepper, guitarist Andrew Kastner, and bassist David Lee Watson, and together they formed Pocket Rocket, landing a weekly residency at Josephina’s on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.

When blues harp legend John “Juke” Logan sat in one night, he and Lynch launched the project Logan and Lynch, performing across Southern California and opening for Leon Russell, Edgar Winter, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Robben Ford, and David Lindley.

Over the years Lynch also performed with artists including Bonnie Raitt and Kansas legend Mike Finnigan. Though a three-time Kansas Music Hall of Fame inductee, he rarely pursued studio session work, though opportunities came along: singing demos for legendary songwriter Gerry Goffin, performing with the Woody Herman Orchestra, playing shows with Jerry Lee Lewis and Bo Diddley, appearing on TV in Newcastle with Noel Redding, PP Arnold, and Alan Price, and singing the theme for the Showtime sitcom It’s Garry Shandling’s Show.

Bill and his wife Maggie, a life coach and entrepreneur, later decided to give something back to the LA music scene by opening The Write-Off Room in Woodland Hills, which quickly became one of the Valley’s most respected live music venues and a gathering place for world-class musicians.

After COVID closed the club, the Lynches purchased the iconic Oil Can Harry’s building in Studio City and reopened the Write-Off Room there two years later. The venue hosted everything from 18-piece big bands to songwriter nights, surprise guest appearances, and even performances by top comedians like Bill Burr.

One memorable night saw The Rolling Stones touring band play jazz versions of their songs. Another featured an extraordinary lineup of James Gadson, Abraham Laboriel, Paul Shaffer, Dean Parks, and George Doering performing with The Bill Lynch Band.

Although the club is now closing and will soon reopen as The Starlight Cabaret, Bill Lynch’s legacy remains clear. As both musician and venue creator, he helped preserve the intimate live-music experience in the Los Angeles music community.

Jude Southerland Kessler is an American author and widely recognized authority on John Lennon’s life and The Beatles. She is best known for her ambitious John Lennon Series, a planned nine-volume historical narrative biography chronicling Lennon’s life in detail.

She was born in Alexandria, Louisiana. She completed two college degrees in English and History at Northwestern State University in just three years and went on to earn a Master’s degree in English from The University of Maryland in 1976. Early in her career, she taught English at junior high, high school, and college levels, including positions at the University of Maryland and Troy State University.

In 1986, Jude began the decades-long project of researching The John Lennon Series. She amassed an extensive collection of Lennon and Beatles materials - books, interview recordings, periodicals, and more. She made repeated research trips to Liverpool and London, interviewing many of Lennon’s childhood friends, early bandmates, and associates

Her first volume, Shoulda Been There, was published in 2007 after more than 20 years of research. It reads like a narrative history but is thoroughly documented with annotations, interviews, and reference material. 

Subsequent volumes include Shivering Inside, She Loves You, Should Have Known Better, and Shades of Life, Part One, each charting key phases of Lennon's life and The Beatles’ rise to fame.

Beyond her books, Kessler is active in the Beatles community as a speaker, columnist, and broadcaster. She has co-hosted podcasts (including She Said She Said), contributed to publications like Beatlefan and Culture Sonar, and appeared on radio programs such as BBC Radio Leeds and ABC Australia. She has also been an official blogger for The Fest for Beatles Fans and served in leadership roles at Beatles symposiums and festivals.

For over 30 years, Jude has been regarded as one of America’s foremost experts on Lennon and Beatles history. Her narrative approach blends meticulous scholarship with accessible storytelling, earning her a dedicated following among Beatles fans and scholars alike.

She lives in Monroe, Louisiana, with her husband, Rande, and remains actively engaged in research, writing, speaking engagements, and podcasts.

TeaFlix Interview with The Zombies

The Zombies are an influential English rock band, often mistakenly described as a duo due to the prominence of their two principal members, vocalist Colin Blunstone and keyboardist/songwriter Rod Argent. Formed in 1961 in St Albans, the group became one of the most distinctive and sophisticated voices of the British Invasion.

Blending jazz-inflected chord structures, baroque pop textures, and ethereal vocals, they achieved early international success with hits like She's Not There and later the timeless classic Time of the Season.

Their 1968 album Odessey and Oracle - notable for its unique spelling - has since been hailed as one of the greatest pop albums of all time, admired for its lush harmonies, inventive melodies, and introspective songwriting.

Although the band initially disbanded shortly after recording Odessey and Oracle, their music enjoyed a major resurgence in the late 1960s when Time of the Season became a surprise U.S. hit. Over subsequent decades, The Zombies reunited in various lineups led by Blunstone and Argent, continuing to tour and record new material while earning a revered place in rock history.

After The Zombies first disbanded, Colin Blunstone quietly reinvented himself as one of Britain’s most distinctive solo vocalists. His 1971 album One Year revealed a more intimate, orchestral sound, highlighted by the timeless hit “Say You Don’t Mind.” Rather than chasing trends, Colin carved out a career defined by elegance, emotional subtlety, and that unmistakable breath-soft tenor. Across decades of solo recordings and touring, he has remained a singer’s singer — proof that restraint and vulnerability can be just as powerful as volume.

Following The Zombies, Rod Argent stepped boldly into a new chapter by forming the progressive rock band Argent, embracing a heavier, more expansive musical direction. A chance remark on the stairs at Peter Morris Music in London’s Denmark Street, in October 1963, set off a chain reaction that helped Brian Epstein apply some much- needed leverage on America’s Hollywood based Capitol label.

Although February 1963 marked the Beatles’ breakthrough in Britain, by the closing months of that year they still had not conquered America. Their manager Brian Epstein had been fighting what seemed like a losing battle to persuade Capitol to release the band’s records in America. How did that chance encounter in Denmark Street eventually force Capitol’s hand?

When the Beatles eventually hit the big time in the US in February 1964, both Epstein and Capitol executives obscured the true story about how this had happened. However, corporate and personal archives now reveal the reality and much more besides. The lid is also lifted on the fact that Capitol viewed the British record industry as being 30 years behind the times, and set out to remix UK master tapes and create distinct US albums. While Capitol’s strategy made the Beatles rich beyond their wildest dreams, Epstein is shown as often struggling to balance Capitol’s commercial decisions against the Beatles’ own demands. A Multifaceted Legacy in Music and Photography

During the period known as "The Lost Weekend" John Lennon experienced one of the most artistically and commercially productive phases of his post-Beatles career. With Pang’s encouragement and support, he produced the albums Mind Games, Walls and Bridges, and Rock ‘n’ Roll, achieving his first solo #1 hit, “Whatever Gets You Through the Night.” Pang’s influence extended to creative collaborations with legends like Elton John, David Bowie, Harry Nilsson, Mick Jagger, and Ringo Starr. Notably, Pang’s whispered voice is heard on “#9 Dream,” and Lennon wrote “Surprise, Surprise (Sweet Bird of Paradox)” about her.

Beyond music, Pang played a crucial role in rekindling Lennon’s connections with family and friends. She facilitated a long-overdue reunion between Lennon and his son, Julian, as well as fellow bandmates George Harrison and Paul McCartney (which included a historic jam session with McCartney, Stevie Wonder and others.) Her photograph of Julian Lennon is featured on the cover of his album Jude, and her image of John Lennon in the Catskills appeared on the sleeve of the “Imagine” single in England & Japan, cementing her artistic legacy.

Pang earned a gold record for her contributions to Walls and Bridges and continued to impact the industry by managing releases for artists like Bob Marley and Robert Palmer during her time at Island Records.

In 1983, Pang published Loving John, a candid memoir detailing her relationship with Lennon and her behind-the-scenes role in his life and work. In 2008, she released Instamatic Karma, a collection of intimate photographs of Lennon during the Lost Weekend. These photos, which include iconic moments like Lennon signing the contract to dissolve the Beatles, have been exhibited across the U.S. in The Lost Weekend – The Photography of May Pang.

Billy Amendola is one of the most respected musicians and industry leaders in the music business. 

Billy, a New York-based studio drummer, songwriter/producer, podcast host, celebrity interviewer, mentor, and music industry advisor, is a founding member of the late-seventies band Mantus. The band released two albums, charted three top-ten Billboard dance singles, and achieved worldwide fame, touring the U.S., Canada, and Europe. 

Amendola, associated with Modern Drummer magazine for 25 years, left in 2022, shortly after the publication was sold. Immediately after his exit from MD, he hosted an audio podcast series with Drum Channel for two years, recording 94 shows under his own “Billy’s Bubble” show. 

A forerunner in electronic programming and hybrid drumming from the mid-70s to the late '90s, Amendola, combining acoustic and electronic drums, achieved success in the studio, recording on albums, song demos, television commercials, soundtracks, and hundreds of 12” remixes. 

In 1987, he combined his hybrid sound on the debut album of teen sensation and Eighties songstress Debbie Gibson’s Out of the Blue. The album spawned several international hits, including “Only In My Dreams” and “Shake Your Love.”

Coming full circle, on several occasions, Billy has performed as a guest percussionist with Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band on the encore of The Beatles' classic song “A Little Help From My Friends.” He’s also attended Starr’s “Peace & Love” Birthday celebration for the past fifteen years. 

He subsequently serves on the advisory board of Jules Follett’s “The Sessions Panel,” a foundation that empowers artists through education and real-world advice.

Billy was also an advisory board member of Music Will (previously Little Kids Rock). This charitable organization provides free music instruction and instruments to school districts nationwide. Over 1,000,000 youngsters currently participate in Music Will/LKR programs nationwide.

In 2022, Billy was appointed as an A&R board member of the non-profit organization Raven Drum Foundation (with co-founder/Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen and his wife, singer/songwriter Lauren Monroe). In movies and TV, DiMaria has often played roles in soap operas (One Life to Live and Guiding Light), appeared in The Sopranos, and made a feature film debut as Jam Kitchen in the Sundance hit The Pigeon Egg Strategy, shot in Hong Kong.

Anthony DiMaria has further performed as Weldon Giles in Disney's Pixel Perfect and Howard Fox in Woody Allen's Café Society. DiMaria also worked as characters in CSI (Primum Non Nocere episode), Strong Medicine (PMS, Lies, and Red Tape episode), HBO's The Leftovers (Penguin One, Us Zero episode), David Milch's Deadwood (and also John from Cincinnati), along with Showtime's Ray Donovan.

Jay Sebring Documentary

Anthony DiMaria released the feature documentary Jay Sebring....Cutting to the Truth, which presented a platform to correct and illuminate his uncle Jay Sebring's life outside the Manson murders. The documentary was a critical success and featured in-depth investigative interviews with Quincy Jones, Nancy Sinatra, Quentin Tarantino,Dennis Hopper, and others.

In his Los Angeles Times review, critic Michael Ordoña found Cutting To the Truth to be "an impressive directorial debut for actor Anthony Dimaria," noting its "stylish" presentation, and an "absorbing and passionate" narrative.

Manson family parole hearings

Since 2004 Anthony DiMaria has spoken for the Sebring family and advocated for the Gary Hinman and LaBianca families as a representative in numerous parole hearings for Manson family members.

Anthony DiMaria and his immediate family continuously and unfailingly urged the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to deny any and all parole or release to the remaining Manson group. In one of Tex Watson's parole hearings Anthony DiMaria commented, "These are troubled waters for many of us in here today and I would be remiss if I didn't state that I feel profound sorrow for all of us involved, and great sorrow for Mr. Watson."

In 2016, Anthony DiMaria urged the California Board to consider parole for Patricia Krenwinkel "when her victims are paroled from their graves".

In 2022, DiMaria spoke at Manson follower Bruce Davis' parole hearing, on behalf of families victimized by Davis' actions. Dimaria stated, "Bruce Davis remains in prison because his crimes were so severe and profound that they shook our country to its core, with permanent repercussions". Davis was denied parole.

Martin Orkin, who is a writer on the subject of The Beatles and 1960s music. He is a big fan of The Beatles, whom he was privileged to see live in concert in December 1964 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London. 

Martin began listening to pop music at the age of 12 in 1962, when the charts were ruled by the likes of Elvis Presley, Neil Sedaka and Cliff Richard and The Shadows. Then The Beatles arrived at the start of 1963 and turned everything upside down! It was an amazing time for music! 

Martin then followed the progress of The Beatles and their main competitors, such as The Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys, throughout the 1960s and beyond. 

During the late 60s and into the 70s, Martin aimed at a career in songwriting. The closest he got to success was with his song ‘Nancy’ which was released by a London group called Three’s Company in 1968, and was published by The Beatles’ publishing company Apple.Martin received a cheque for a (tiny!) amount he had earned in songwriting royalties for ‘Nancy’ – it was signed by George Harrison! Martin still has the cheque! 

After retiring in 2010, Martin returned to his first love: 1960s music. In April 2021 he published his first book, Rivals Of The Beatles where he discussed 20 of the bands who competed with The Beatles during the 60s; such as The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, The Dave Clark Five and the Monkees. As well as telling their stories and analysing their records, Martin also explained the influence that The Beatles had on each of them. 

In December 2023, Martin published his second book, Rivals Of The Beatles 2, in which he covered 10 more groups including The Animals, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who and Queen! 

During the past few years, Martin has given many talks on 60s music to live audiences ranging from 50 – 300 people. His talks on The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and Queen have proved especially popular! Also his seasonal ‘Christmas Hits’ talk!

He has also had articles published in UK music magazine Shindig! and in the Liverpool Echo newspaper And he has presented several music shows with host Trevor Richards on internet radio station, AJK Radio.

Martin’s new books: The Beatles’ Hit Singles Parts 1 and 2. During the past year Martin has been working on Part 1 of two exciting new books he is currently writing, called The Beatles’ Hit Singles. These will examine in depth each of The Beatles’ singles in the order they came out in Britain and America, from My Bonnie and Love Me Do through to Let It Be and The Long And Winding Road. He will also be including a special chapter at the end of Part 2 on the Beatles’ final three singles: Free As A Bird, Real Love, and Now And Then.

Phil Solem is best known as one half of the pop-rock duo The Rembrandts, whose hit single “I’ll Be There for You” became an iconic anthem of the 1990s as the theme song to the smash TV series Friends. A multi-talented musician, singer, and songwriter, Solem co-founded The Rembrandts with Danny Wilde in the early 1990s after the two had collaborated in the short-lived power pop band Great Buildings in the 1980s.

Roger McGough CBE, FRSL is one of Britain’s most beloved and enduring poets, known for his wit, wordplay, and deep emotional resonance. Born in Litherland, Liverpool, McGough rose to prominence in the 1960s as a leading voice in the Liverpool poets movement alongside Adrian Henri and Brian Patten. Their influential anthology, The Mersey Sound (1967), brought poetry to new, younger audiences and became one of the best-selling poetry collections of all time in the UK. He was also a member of the famous trio known as SCAFFOLD with members John Gorman and Mike McGear McCartney. They appeared regularly at Liverpool's Everyman Theater, the Edinburgh Festival and also had a couple of chart toppers "Thank U Very Much" and "Lily The Pink" which made them faves of the BBC's "Top of The Pops".

A prolific writer, he has published dozens of poetry collections for both adults and children, including The Way Things Are, You Tell Me, After the Merrymaking, and As Far As I Know. His work is often marked by humor and a keen social awareness, blending the lyrical with the satirical.

In addition to poetry, McGough has enjoyed a successful career in broadcasting. He has hosted BBC Radio 4’s long-running poetry show Poetry Please and written scripts for stage and film, including contributions to the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine. 

McGough has received numerous accolades, including the Freedom of the City of Liverpool, an OBE (1997), and a CBE (2004) for services to literature. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and continues to perform and publish widely, delighting generations of readers and WE audiences with his poetic voice.

His current projects include a tour aptly named "Alive & Gigging" and the release of his latest book "The Collected Poems" which presents the definitive selection of his very best work, from the Mersey-soaked sound of his quintessential Sixties start, through to tender meditations on fatherhood and family, and on to political sendups, pandemic playfulness and brilliant new writing. Today, they are joined by old friend David Bedford who is a Beatles author/ historian/podcaster/ filmmaker who grew up in The Dingle, Liverpool. He started to write for the British Beatles Fan Club magazine in 2000. His first book, now on its third Edition: Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles. His second book, The Fab one hundred and Four: The Evolution of The Beatles, was published in 2013. In 2016, he was a co-author with Hunter Davies on The Beatles Book, with Keith Badman and Spencer Leigh. Published in 2018, his fourth book was Finding the Fourth Beatle, the story of the 23 drummers in The Beatles. He even self-published a part fact, part fiction, detective novel called “Inspector Rocke: That’ll Be The Day That I Die” set in Liverpool in 1960, featuring The Beatles.

Published in 2020 was The Country of Liverpool: Nashville of the North, and in 2021, ACC published The Beatles Fab Four Cities, co-written with Beatles tour guides Richard Porter and Susan Ryan. 

He was also the Associate Producer and historical consultant for “Looking For Lennon” (2018).

In 2024, he was the Archive Producer for the film about The Beatles in Hamburg, called “No Hamburg, No Beatles”. In 2025, together with writing partner Andrew Phillips, they released "What If?" via New York publisher Imagine & Wonder and Golden Age Music Collectables. It's the journey of probabilities that examines the question "what if The Beatles never met?".

He is currently working on new books and a movie too!

TeaFlix Interview with Spencer Leigh

Spencer Leigh is a BBC Radio presenter and author, with particular expertise in the development of pop and rock music and culture in Britain.

Career

Leigh started broadcasting on BBC Radio Merseyside in the early 1970s. His first series, No Holds Bard, was based around the Mersey poets. His music programme On the Beat ran continuously from 1985 to 2020 on BBC Radio Merseyside. Over the years, Leigh interviewed thousands of musicians on the show. The entire collection of 2,027 programmes has been given to Liverpool's Central Library, and there is an on-going project to archive them. Some one-off series have been given to the British Library.

His first book was Paul Simon - Now and Then, published in 1973, which was the first biography of the American singer-songwriter Paul Simon. Since then, Leigh has written, or collaborated on, over two dozen books. Many of his books relate to The Beatles or Merseybeat, and he has interviewed many people connected to the Liverpool 1960s scene. There have been several one-off series on BBC Radio Merseyside, the best known being Let's Go Down the Cavern (1981), which was also broadcast on local BBC stations throughout the UK.

Leigh has written the sleeve notes or CD booklets for over 300 albums. He writes obituaries of musicians for The Guardian, The Independent, and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography; he has also written extensively for Record Collector, Country Music People and Now Dig This. He has a weekly 'My City' column every Saturday in the Liverpool Echo.

His history of British pop before the Beatles, Halfway To Paradise (1996), has been expanded and issued in two volumes as British Pop Before The Beatles, available only on Kindle. He has written a series of musical biographies for McNidder & Grace: Frank Sinatra (updated with 50 pages of lists in 2022), Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and Simon & Garfunkel.

Antonia pursued formal training in the arts, studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Her professional music career began in the mid-2000s, frequently opening for her father at prestigious venues worldwide. In 2008, she recorded a duet with Tony Bennett, "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," featured on his album A Swingin' Christmas

His new album "Walking Through These Blues" is out now on Quarto Valley Records and his spring tour with OUR HOUSE - featuring the music of CSNY begins this week with bandmates Jeff Pevar, Chris Pierce, Teresa James, Ted Russel Kamp and a cadré of fabulous drummers with shows on April 17 - Norwalk CT, District Music Hall, April 18 - Tarrytown NY, The Music Hall.

Trained at The Mannes College Of Music in New York City, Steve Postell has had a successful, prolific career which spans his days playing with Pure Prairie League, performing on Broadway in shows such as “Evita” and “The Man Of LaMancha,” co-writing the score for the off-Broadway rock musical "Fallen Angel" (starring Living Colour vocalist Corey Glover), touring with Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Princess Lea in "Aladdin") as her musical director, and fronting the popular New York City bands, “Chain o' Fools” and “Little Blue”. Steve has written scores for film and television including ESPN’s Sportsweek featuring Greg Gumbel, and producer Lawrence Kasdan’s "Jumpin' At The Boneyard," a 20th century Fox production starring Tim Roth and Samuel Jackson. Steve wrote and produced Jingles for Right Sound Music in New York City for clients including Pontiac, AT&T, Dupont and many others. He has performed live on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show with Katie Couric, The Regis and Kelly and The Regis and Kathie Lee shows.

Steve was the composer for the documentary “Dying to Know,” about Timothy Leary and Ram Dass, narrated by Robert Redford. Steve contributed guitar to David Crosby’s album, Sky Trails, and has co-written a song for his last released record, “For Free”. Steve’s new CD, “Walking Through These Blues”, was recently released on VIVID SOUND. This CD features a host of guests, including David Crosby, Iain Matthews, Tony Furtado, Bekka Bramlett, Jeff Pevar, Greg Leisz and many others. In addition to David Crosby, Steve has worked with John Oates, Jennifer Warnes, Kenny Loggins, Eric Andersen, Iain Matthews, Pure Prairie League, Dan Navarro and many others. TeaFlix Interview with Laurie Kaye

Laurie Kaye began her career in radio at KFRC-AM San Francisco, for years one of the nation’s greatest top 40 stations, where she started as an intern and worked her way up to on-air reporter and anchor. She wrote and coproduced numerous radio rock specials for RKO, including RKO Presents the Beatles (released in 1977, and later expanded and retitled as The Beatles from Liverpool to Legend), and The Top 100 of the 70’s before moving on to write Dick Clark’s weekly radio countdown show and syndicated newspaper column. Kaye then moved on to television and film as a writer, producer, and casting director, handling both creative content and line producing for docuseries pilots. She now concentrates full-time on writing.

About Lauries' Book - Confessions of a Rock 'n' Roll Name-Dropper

Laurie Kaye is a writer and producer, and 'Confessions of a Rock ’n’ Roll Name-Dropper: My Life Leading Up to John Lennon’s Last Interview' is her long-awaited memoir. In it, we read about Kaye's music-related early life wrapped around that day in December 1980 which Kaye spent with John Lennon and Yoko Ono at the legendary Dakota apartment building on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

On December 8, 1980, while working for RKO Radio, twenty-something rock journalist Laurie Kaye co-conducted an interview with her longtime idol, John Lennon. It was to become Lennon's final interview on what tragically turned out to be his last day on the planet.

That evening, John Lennon was gunned down by a man Laurie Kaye had encountered just hours before. Lennon's 25-year-old assassin (whom Kaye refuses to refer to by name) had blocked Kaye's path outside the Dakota, harassing her with questions right after the interview such as, “Did you talk to him?” and “Did you get his autograph?", and in the following years, Laurie Kaye has continued to beat herself up over her failure to recognize that this creep had posed a danger and should have been reported.

As we approach the anniversary of John Lennon's death, Laurie Kaye reflects on how she rose from teen runaway from a dysfunctional family to an expatriate studying Balinese dancing in Indonesia to journalist, writer and producer. Along the way, she interviewed titans of the music industry including John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Grace Slick, Talking Heads, The Ramones, David Bowie, Mick Jagger (whom she put on hold so that he could listen to her newscast before getting down to business) and many more. 

But it was that December day she shared a loveseat with John Lennon and watched him push his iconic granny glasses down the length of his nose and smile at her in agreement that remains most indelibly etched in her mind, making it, as she says, both the best and worst day of her life.

Hosted by Dr. Angie McCartney & Ruth McCartney A member of the generation transformed by the ‘60s Big Bang of The Beatles’ appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show, Al Sussman has been writing about The Beatles, music and pop culture since the fall of 1968, first as a town newspaper columnist and then via a “Collectors’ Q&A” column in Sounds Fine in the mid-‘70s. In 1979, he became a contributor to the fledgling Beatlefan Magazine, first as New York correspondent and as Executive Editor since the early ‘80s. Sort of a jack-of-all-trades for the magazine, he’s contributed news stories, commentaries and, in more recent years, historical perspectives. That led to his first book, Changin’ Times: 101 Days That Shaped a Generation, a look at the transformative period from Nov. 22, 1963 through March 1, 1964, available as an ebook at Amazon. As well, Sussman worked in the retail record business in the ‘70s and ‘80s, has participated in various capacities for Beatlefest/The Fest For Beatles Fans from its beginnings in 1974, and was a radio analyst at ASCAP from 1991 to 2006. He was part of the panel for the Beatles podcast “Things We Said Today” from 2014 to 2017 and, while continuing to write for Beatlefan, Sussman has been part of Bruce Spizer’s team for his Beatles Album Series since 2017. He is also a leading expert on the music of the Beatles who has appeared in several films and TV series about the Fab Four. Scott is the creator of Deconstructing The Music, a series of unique multimedia lectures on the songwriting and production techniques of musicians. He has presented his lectures to sold-out audiences at theaters nationwide and has spoken at colleges, universities, and corporations, such as Pixar, Google, and Facebook. In the Fall of 2012, he taught a semester course on “The Beatles In The Studio” at Yale University. Scott was a co-founder of Credit Management Solutions, Inc. (CMSI), a leading financial software company where he served as CEO. A Finalist for Ernst & Young’s Maryland Entrepreneur of the Year, Scott helped lead CMSI’s successful public offering and orchestrated the sale of CMSI to the First American Corporation. In 2001, after fifteen years of running a public company, Scott embarked on a new career as a composer, music producer, and studio owner. His first film scores, written within months of leaving CMSI, were performed by an orchestra live with picture at Lincoln Center in New York. Scott composed music for more than ten films, and contributed music to the Emmy®-award winning eleven-part BBC/Discovery series Life. He also acted as sound editor and mixer on many films, including the first 3D made-for television film, David Attenborough’s Flying Monsters, and the award-winning films Encounter Point and Budrus. Richard "Ribbs" Gibbs, who is an American film composer & music producer whose credits include Dr. Dolittle, Big Momma's House, Queen of the Damned,the television series Battlestar Galactica & the first season of The Simpsons. Gibbs was the keyboard player for the new wave band Oingo Boingo from 1980 to 1984. He was also a session player, performing on over 150 albums for artists as diverse as War, Tom Waits, Boy Meets Girl, Living in a Box, Robert Palmer, and Aretha Franklin. He has appeared live with Korn, The Staples, Chaka Khan, and Oingo Boingo. Like his former bandmate Danny Elfman, Gibbs has embarked on a life of scoring movies and television shows. He has written the scores for over sixty films that have collectively grossed well over $1 billion in box office receipts worldwide (Dr. Dolittle, Step Into Liquid, Say Anything... and Queen of the Damned, among others) and acted as musical director and composer for various television shows, including Muppets Tonight!, The Simpsons, and Battlestar Galactica. His critically well-received collaboration with Jonathan Davis (lead singer of Korn) on the songs and score for Queen of the Damned led to a gold record. Past projects include scoring the multiple award winning drama Face to Face for Battlestar Galactica and Queen of the Damned director Michael Rymer. He produced former Mr. Mister (Broken Wings) band member Richard Page's solo disc "Peculiar Life" and is currently producing an adventurous new band, Purple Mountains Majesties. It began as a means to connect, enjoy a meal together with friends and explore all aspects of the world of music, whilst slowly inviting more friends to join in the camaraderie. Similar to The Socrates School and the Inklings, The Composers Breakfast Club is dedicated to connecting musicians with other musicians and creating a space for critical thinking and debate about our current world. The CBC has expanded unabated to this day yet continues to adhere to the original basis of its founding - friends helping friends.

Biography Pianist and composer Quinn Johnson has lived in four different countries on three different continents, and has played music from around the world with Cuban, Brasilian, Persian, African, Middle Eastern and Chinese artists. Some of those he has had the pleasure of working with include Poncho Sanchez, Tom Scott, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Rita Coolidge, Martin Short, Jack Sheldon, Diane Schuur, Richard Carpenter, Judith Hill, Flora Purim, Wayne Brady, John Densmore (of The Doors), Elba Ramalho, Down to the Bone, Jerry Seinfeld, Airto Moreira, Francisco Aguabella, Alvaro Torres and Dancing with the Stars (US/Canada tour). Quinn was the music director/pianist for American songbook singer Steve Tyrell for 16 years. He is currently the music director for pop singer Debby Boone, as well as piano/keyboardist for the Clare Fischer Big Band, which received the 2013 Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album. In December 2013, Quinn was music director/arranger for the Mike Stoller 80th Birthday Celebration in New York, which was MC’d by Paul Schaffer, directed by Randy Johnson, and included Dee Dee Bridgewater, The Coasters, Bettye La Vette, Chuck Jackson, Melissa Manchester, Tommy Tune, Sally Kellerman and Ben E King. Quinn has performed at jazz festivals around the globe, including places such as Montreux, Bangkok, Vienne, Recife (Brasil), Detroit, San Jose, Capetown, Vitoria (Spain), and Syracuse. He has performed on many TV shows including The Tonight Show, The David Lettterman Show, The Today Show,The View, the Emmys, America’s Got Talent, and his playing can be heard on many TV shows as well as feature films. One of his compositions can be heard on the Emmy award winning show “Homeland”. Quinn has released several cds on different labels, and currently composes, arranges, and produces music for artists in various genres. His last release "TRIO con CLAVE", an exciting blend of American standards and Cuban rhythms, continues to get airplay 5 years after its release. John was born in Oakland, CA in 1945, moved to southern California’s Orange County with his family for high school years. He and lifelong high-school friend Steve Martin both got a job in 1963 (in the magic shop) at 16! When, a couple years later, he saw Missouri bluegrass group The Dillards in an Orange County club, John’s life then headed towards his new dream: “be a traveling music man”. Leaving his Garden Grove spawning ground, his dream became more of a reality than imagined it could be! Multi-instrumentalist McEuen (banjo, guitar, mandolin, fiddle) has been recognized as a founding member and award-winning outstanding performer of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He departed at the end of the 50th year anniversary tour Oct. 22, 2017 due to demands for his solo work and the desire to do things new. In addition to John’s numerous solo accolades, NGDB was inducted in to Colorado Music Hall of Fame 2015. It is all covered in his book The Life I’ve Picked on Chicago Review Press, published April, 2018. In 1971 John initiated the now landmark Will the Circle be Unbroken* album, hooking Nitty Gritty Dirt Band up with his musical mentors Earl Scruggs and Doc Watson simply by asking them in Colorado (brother Bill then asked Merle Travis, and it started growing) to record; it grew to inviting Mother Maybelle Carter, Jimmy Martin, Roy Acuff, ‘Bashful’ Brother Oswald, Merle Travis, Vassar Clements, and Junior Huskey, for 5 magic hot August days of recording. As a producer/composer of film scores, solo albums, John has produced award-winning projects of his own and for several other artists. John has continually performed since 1963 – doing over 11,000 concerts, 300 television shows, 10,000 interviews and flown more than 4 million miles. In 2010 John was honored with the Best in the West solo performer award from the Folk Alliance Organization. McEuen’s rich history of creating, producing and preserving original and traditional folk music earned him the 2013 Charlie Poole Lifetime Achievement Award. The subject of menopause, once sidelined to the realms of whispers and shame has recently been elevated into the mainstream by personalities like Oprah, Michelle Obama, Halle Berry, Naomi Watts and Gwyneth Paltrow. They, along with many others, are aware of the giant void of quality information about this incredibly confusing and important time. A new documentary takes a fresh look at early human development and finds a new interpretation to menopause that results in The Wise Woman Hypothesis. One conclusion is that, for early humans, conditions favored groups who excelled in the complexity of family and group social management. and had a greater influence of mature post-reproductive females in that management. When the filmmaker’s Co-producer and wife started going into perimenopause, beyond the physical symptoms of hot flashes, body changes, sleep issues, and brain fog, she felt a dread that much in her life was over. She initially researched supplements, HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) or treatments that might help her feel better. But none of those things would solve the general societal message that her usefulness was largely done. This new documentary, Wise Women, dives into something fundamental that will change evolutionary science and elevate our understanding of how we became modern humans. It answers why menopause exists and shows evolutionary proof that women, especially mature women, are best equipped to run the world. It connects the dots of how mastering fire and cooking changed the trajectory of early hominins from other primates, and how the adaptation of menopause supercharged that trajectory. Currently the most heralded answer to the existence of menopause in humans is the Grandmother Hypothesis which looks at the effect of post-menopausal woman on birth-frequency, infant brain development and other notable ideas. “We see the Grandmother Hypothesis as a reinforcing concept, rather than an initiating one.” Says director Christopher Henze. “We ask, how did our brains get to be large enough to even make use of the beneficial effects of grandmothers?” Menopause first affected our evolution then allowing “grandmothering” to accelerate it. Additionally, Crone – The Wise Woman Hypothesis shows that, because post-menopausal women were so important to our survival and development, they were venerated. Most pre-historic art that has been found depicts women.

In 2023, the band got together to arrange another iconic song. The band then decided to have another special guest again. Denny Tedesco, Director 'The Immediate Family' Denny Tedesco grew up in Los Angeles. He started as a set decorator on feature films such as "Eating Raoul" and then went on to working on films, commercials and music videos during the MTV Years as a grip. In 1984-1990, Denny began to travel the world as a lighting technician and location producer for IMAX films. From the shark-infested waters of Australia to the plains of Africa, he has filmed under the most challenging conditions. He was sent as a location producer to cover the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo as well as the catastrophic earthquake of Kobe, Japan. During the 1990s and 2000s, Denny worked as a freelance producer and director and conducted interviews for A&E, TV-Land, and was a producer on Comedy Central's Pulp Comics. Most notably in 2000, he produced the Academy Awards "opening" staring Billy Crystal and also the award-winning music video for Elton John's song, "I Want Love" starring Robert Downey Jr. "This film is a window into the lives of my musical brothers, whose gold standard is to make sure that every song they play on comes out even better than the songwriter imagined. Kenneth Womack's new book: Had he lived into old age, Beatles roadie Mal Evans would have been 87 now. In August 1963, the 28-year-old giant of a man began the adventure of a lifetime when he joined the British band’s cozy entourage, which included manager Brian Epstein and fellow roadie Neil Aspinall. With the release of their “She Loves You” single, the Beatles were poised to shift from a regional to a national sensation. And Mal would be right alongside them as they conquered the world, a jack of all trades who was willing to take on any duty — no matter how big or how small — in their service. In February 1965, as the Beatles and director Richard Lester alighted in the Bahamas, Mal took on his famous role as the befuddled Channel Swimmer in “Help!,” the group’s second feature film. It was a bit part, to be sure, but a cameo appearance that never fails to warm the hearts of Beatles fans across the globe. It was a role, in many ways, that Mal had been born to play. In his teen years, he had toned his large frame through a dedicated regime of swimming and cycling. He had been known to bike for hours — full days, even — on the rural outskirts of Liverpool. And when it came to swimming, there was scarcely a body of water that he didn’t — simply couldn’t — pass up. From the frigid Irish Sea to a serene country lake to the modest dimensions of a chlorinated motel pool, Mal lived to swim. And no mere soak would do. For Mal, thrashing about and playing in the shallows was for amateurs. Ray Connolly (born 4 December 1940) is a British writer. He is best known for his journalism and for writing the screenplays for the films That'll Be the Day and its sequel Stardust, for which he won a Writers' Guild of Great Britain Best Screenplay award. Ray Connolly was born and brought up in Lancashire. He was educated at West Park Catholic Grammar School, St. Helens; Ormskirk Grammar School and the London School of Economics where he read social anthropology. There he also edited the LSE magazine Clare Market Review and was an associate editor of the student film magazine Motion. Career[edit] After entering journalism as a graduate trainee at the Liverpool Daily Post, Connolly then moved to the London Evening Standard where he interviewed, among others, many '60s and '70s rock stars and cultural icons, including the Beatles, Muhammad Ali and Elvis Presley. Many of his interviews with the Beatles are collected in The Ray Connolly Beatles Archive, while other interviews are collected in Stardust Memories – Talking About My Generation. He was due to interview John Lennon on the day the ex-Beatle was murdered, an event he wrote about in the BBC radio play Unimaginable. In 2018, he published a biography of the Beatle Being John Lennon – A Restless Life. He has written many articles for the Daily Mail, as well as The Sunday Times, The Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Observer. His novels include; A Girl Who Came to Stay, Newsdeath, Sunday Morning, Shadows on a Wall and Love out of Season (which was adapted for radio as God Bless Our Love) and Sorry, Boys, You Failed The Audition. His biography of Elvis Presley, Being Elvis – A Lonely Life was published in 2016. For the cinema he wrote the films That'll Be The Day and its sequel, Stardust – which was voted the Best Screenplay of 1974 by the Writers' Guild of Great Britain. He also wrote and directed the feature-length documentary entitled James Dean: The First American Teenager, while his television drama series have included Honky Tonk Heroes, Lytton's Diary and Perfect Scoundrels. TV films include Forever Young for Channel 4 and Defrosting the Fridge for the BBC, while he co-wrote, with Alan Benson, the BBC 2 George Martin series about music The Rhythm of Life. He has also written several radio plays, including Lost Fortnight (which is about Raymond Chandler in Hollywood), the series Tim Merryman's Days of Clover, and Sorry, Boys, You Failed the Audition, as well as several short stories for various publications, which are collected in A Handful of Love.

For 40 years, wherever he moved, from the New York metropolitan area to his current home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Jay Bergen FCRH ’59, LAW ’62, took six heavy banker’s boxes with him, transferring them from one garage or attic to another, where they continued to gather dust. “I always kept them with me, but I didn’t open them until five years ago,” said Bergen. When he did, he couldn’t help but sit down on one of those boxes and lose himself in the reams of depositions and the trial and appeal records of a case he considers the highlight of his wide-ranging legal career: the two-year lawsuit he handled for John Lennon in 1975 and 1976 against Mafia-connected record company executive Morris Levy. “When I read the transcripts from John Lennon’s testimony about how he and the Beatles became the Beatles, how they took control of the process of making an album, how they produced the covers, I realized that this was a good story—one that, surprisingly, had never really been told,” said Bergen. “And I know all the details.” It all began when Roulette Records’ Morris Levy released Roots: John Lennon Sings the Great Rock ’n’ Roll Hits, an early, unfinished version of an album of John Lennon singing rock ’n’ roll oldies, complete with a blurred image of Lennon on the cover and schlocky ads on the back. When even cheesier TV ads appeared for the record, Lennon was stunned—and went to see Dolgenos at Marshall Bratter. Levy, said Bergen, was known for frivolous lawsuits and getting big-name music clients to settle—and John Lennon was now in his sights. Levy had previously sued Lennon in 1970 for copyright infringement, claiming a similarity between the lyrics of Chuck Berry’s “You Can’t Catch Me,” whose catalog Levy owned the rights to, and the Beatles’ “Come Together.” As part of the settlement, Lennon agreed to make a record containing three Levy-owned rock oldies.

GRAMMY® winning guitarist Laurence Juber is a solo performer, recording artist, composer and arranger. His playing fuses folk, jazz, blues, pop and classical styles, creating a multi-faceted performance that belies the use of only one instrument. A music graduate of London’s Goldsmith’s College, he was featured guitar soloist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra before becoming established as a studio musician in the mid-1970’s. First internationally recognized as lead guitarist in Beatle Paul McCartney’s Wings, with whom he won a Grammy, Juber has since established himself as world-renowned guitar virtuoso and entertainer. Known to his fans as LJ, he has recorded more than two dozen albums spotlighting his unique touch and tone on acoustic guitar. His latest release is Select Blends, a ‘virtually’ live album pulled from his over 250 livestream performances during Covid lockdown. His LJ Plays The Beatles was voted one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s all-time Top Ten albums. His solo arrangement of The Pink Panther Theme earned him a second Grammy, while his arrangement of Stand By Me was heard nationally in a Diamonds Are Forever commercial. Juber’s DVD-Audio project Guitar Noir (AIX Records) won a CES Demmy award for best audio. Juber has 4 guitar folios in print. The latest, The Evolution of Fingerstyle Guitar was published by Hal Leonard in January 2019. His ‘photo memoir’ Guitar With Wings was recently published by Dalton Watson Fine Books. As a studio musician, he can be heard on recordings from artists as diverse as Harry Styles, Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks, Seal and the French chanteuse Sylvie Vartin, plus he is featured on the soundtracks to hundreds of TV shows such as Home Improvement and movies including the academy award-winning Dirty Dancing, Good Will Hunting and Pocahontas. Juber co-composed the soundtrack of the award-winning video game Diablo III and scored the NBC Dateline documentary Children Of The Harvest. His music is also featured in the Ken Burns’ documentary The Tenth Inning.

Meet Chris O'Dell From Apple Corps. secretary, to personal assistant to musical icons, to rock n' roll tour manager, Chris O'Dell has seen it all and lived to tell about it. Now, a best-selling author, public figure and devoted mother to her son, William, Chris spends her time making public appearances, doing interviews and promoting her best-selling book while sharing incredible stories of her years with rock n' roll's most influential and iconic musicians. She is currently working on a documentary film with Liverpool West Productions called Miss O'Dell, showcasing her life and career with many legendary artists. It's expected to be out in 2024. She currently lives in Tucson, Arizona. In February 1968, my friend Allan excitedly called to tell me he was rubbing elbows with Derek Taylor, famed Beatles (yes, THE Beatles) press officer. Allan insisted I come down to meet them at the La Brea Inn in Los Angeles. I did, and the night ended up being one I would never forget. Derek and I became fast friends and Allan and I spent the entire night talking with him, listening to his incredible stories about his life with The Beatles, laughing, playing records and getting stoned. It was magical. While Derek was in town for a few weeks, he introduced me to many people in the record and entertainment industries and it sparked something in me. I knew I wanted to be part of something like that - something bigger. Derek was going to head back to London to head up the press department of Apple Corps. Ltd. - The Beatles' new multimedia company in London. He told me Apple was going to be huge and that's when he offered me my first big gig: to go to London and work with him at Apple Corps. Opportunities like this don't come often - if at all - so after talking with my parents and friends, I sold my record collection and life insurance policy, and on May 17, 1968, I flew to London. I had no idea that I would be taking on a job that would change my life forever.

He is currently serving as one of the Nashville chapter Trustees for the Recording Academy. He’s served numerous terms on the Nashville board as Governor. He has chaired the Nashville P&E Wing and is the current Co-Chair of the Recording Academy’s P&E Wing, National Steering committee. Chuck has been a coauthor of the majority of the P&E Wing Guidelines and recommendations. Chuck was also on the Board of Directors for the Country Music Association. Belmont University awarded Chuck with the Robert E. Mulloy Award of Excellence.

Seven-time Grammy® winner Frank Filipetti is a world-renowned music producer, engineer and mixer. Born in Bristol, Connecticut, and based in New York since 1971, Frank was one of the first engineers to embrace digital mixing. His early credits include his first number one album, Foreigner’s “Agent Provocateur” which included the single “I Want to Know What Love Is”; Foreigner’s “Inside Information” which he also co-produced; KISS’s, “Lick It Up”; Carly Simon’s “Coming Around Again”, The Bangles’ “Eternal Flame”, Courtney Love’s “Celebrity Skin”, and Rod Stewart’s “The Great American Songbook” Volumes 1 and 2. 

Active in film and theatre as well, Frank’s work as producer, engineer, and mixer earned the Aida Broadway Original Cast Album a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album in 2001, and he has since produced Wicked, Spamalot, Disney’s Aladdin, The Book of Mormon, and Gigi. His work in film includes the soundtracks for Mike Nichols’ “Working Girl”, and “Postcards From the Edge”; “The Pirates of Penzance” with Linda Ronstadt and Kevin Kline; Julie Taymor’s “Across the Universe”; Disney’s “Enchanted”; Pixar’s “Cars”, and “August Rush”.

In addition to his recording and producing talents, Frank has been busy since the early 1980’s designing the acoustics for all three Right Track rooms in NY, and in 1999 Frank joined with Simon Andrews to design and build New York City’s premier orchestral recording studio. The result, Studio A509, was one of the most highly praised sonic achievements in a city known for incredible studios. In 2005 Frank became a founding partner of METAlliance, a collaborative community of globally-recognized audio engineers and producers that works alongside technology manufacturers to ensure the highest standards of audio production.

George Y. Massenburg is a Grammy® award-winning recording engineer, producer, educator and designer of definitive high-resolution audio equipment. He is best known for inventing the parametric equalizer, a key part of modern recording, and third-generation audio console control automation. He has worked on over 400 records in the past 50 years. His work includes recordings by #EarthWindandFire , #LindaRonstadt, #LittleFeat #JamesTaylor, Phil Collins, Randy Newman, Lyle Lovett, Herbie Hancock and many others. In 1990, he won a Grammy® for Best Engineered Non-Classical Record for Ronstadt's "Cry Like A Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind". 

He was awarded an at-the-time rare Technical Grammy® in1998 for his contributions to modern recording technology. In 2024, he won his latest Grammy® for "Best Immersive Audio" album for The Diary of #AliciaKeys. Between 2010 and 2013 he was Associate Professor of Sound Recording and Video Production in the Graduate Studies program for 13 years at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Massenburg has worked primarily in Paris, Baltimore, Los Angeles, and Nashville. 
He is the Chief Technical Officer of METalliance (the Music Engineering Technical Alliance), and an Associate Professor of Sound Recording at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at the #Berklee College Of Music in Boston, Valencia Spain; and the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. Massenburg founded GML LLC in 1982 in Los Angeles, California designing analog audio processing equipment; and Massenburg DesignWorks, which designs high-resolution software plug-ins for #ProTools, VST, AU, Sonnox, Universal Audio, and TC Electronic platforms.
