When God called Gideon 'mighty warrior', the young and was in survival mode, hiding from the Midianites and all who were raiding Israelites. God calls us what sometimes contradicts our present circumstances. It is important we hearken to that call. Because that call, as the Gospel, comes with power to Redeem. May God help us to answer like Mary the mother of Our Lord; "I am the Lord's servant....May your word to me be fulfilled!"

While we continued to fail to serve God and demolish idolatry, Jesus came to do the will of God and shattered every idol. We revel in his victory, blessed through the grace of His substitutionary sacrifice. His righteousness is now ours and we stand, not condemned but redeemed. Glory to the King!

2 Chronicles 7:11-16

Through this Psalm of David, we see not only the lament of suffering that mentions some striking details in the of the agony of our Savior on the cross, but also the proclamation of the coming deliverance that God faithfully promises. May this Psalm remind you that God is faithful and even in the darkest hours of this day, we hang on to a living hope of not only Jesus' resurrection, but that He is our Resurrection!

Well prayer is key and when in doubt, open the book of psalms, anywhere you land…read it out loud, proclaim it and that is your prayer for the day. You can go  to the Lord’s Prayer, that is a full perfect prayer. It is Gods word back to Him. We use scripture in prayer as it is taking the words of God and applying them to our lives and believing that God will do exactly He promised for He is not man that he should lie. So always stay prayed up…in His pray-sence!!!

The great jubilation...this is what He came for!

The year of Jubilee in Leviticus 25:8-55  God commanded that in the 50th year all debts were to be cancelled, all land be returned to original owners and the freedom of indentured servants. Through this, all Israelite clans got a chance to start over and break the chain of generational poverty and enslavement. But as Jeremiah 34;14 shows us, human beings would not always honor God's word and they would take the slaves back, dishonoring the covenant with God. We as people do not have the capacity and means to proclaim freedom amongst ourselves, who would eat up the cost? 

 Clearly only God has the faithfulness and love to set his people free. God sent His Son Jesus to proclaim freedom from every debts...and he paid the price! Because of the Gospel He proclaimed and fulfilled in Luke 4:16-20. The Anointed one came and did the will of His Father so that the blind see, the poor are rich, prisoners are set free. So that we can declare and proclaim the year of the Lord's favor in every aspect of our lives!
