God allowed Satan to test Job, but He set limits on how far Satan could go. God is always in control, even when suffering strikes. While Job’s wife and friends misunderstood suffering, blaming it on sin or encouraging despair, Job held fast to his faith. Even when belief in God is hard, there is no better place to turn.

Ultimately, God’s response to Job’s suffering was not to explain the "why" but to remind Job of His presence and sovereignty. Job learned to trust in God’s character rather than seeking all the answers. Believers, lean into God's love, wisdom, and presence during times of suffering, trusting that He is enough even when life's challenges seem incomprehensible.

You can do this. Open up the Scriptures and read again some words from Jesus. Sing a song of praise that comes from deep inside you. Tell Jesus of your love for Him.

God loves you so much that when you and I come to Him and say to Him, “God, I love you…”, for some reason that God only knows, it gives Him joy like a father with a little child that makes a joyful noise.

Who is your one? Who’s the one person right now that you would literally or figuratively wreck a roof for to get to the foot of Jesus?

As followers of Jesus, we are called to have compassion, take action, and play our part in reaching the community to change lives through the message of Jesus Christ!

We've all heard the story of Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. It's a reminder that when something needs to be done, it’s easy to assume someone else will handle it. But what if that “someone” is you? God uniquely shaped you—not just to live life, but to make a difference. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s workmanship, handcrafted for good works. Think about that—God custom-designed you for a purpose!

Key Point: Serving isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect task. It’s about being available, grateful, and faithful right where you are. Maybe it’s a small act of kindness or stepping out of your comfort zone. When you serve, you’re living out your true purpose, and every small act matters.

But serving isn't just a duty—it's a privilege. When we serve, we’re not only fulfilling our purpose, but we're also reflecting Jesus to the world around us. 

Key Point: Jesus Himself said that true greatness comes from being a servant (Matthew 20:26). So, let’s embrace the opportunities to serve, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. Every act of service is a step closer to becoming who God created us to be.

How are you doing with your spiritual growth right now? Has it been a long time since you've given like Jesus gave? Are you committed to regularly attending church on Sunday? Are you part of a life-giving small group? Are you personally committed to the daily disciplines of reading God’s Word and praying to Him? 

Connecting with Other Believers Changes Our Present Reality: The early church thrived on teaching, fellowship, sharing meals, and prayer. Their faith was the core of their lives, creating a strong community that supported each other through tough times. This shared faith and mutual support offered encouragement and strength, highlighting the importance of connecting with other believers to navigate life with purpose and support.

Myth: My Life + Someone Else = Happiness: True contentment in Christ and Christian happiness do not depend on marital status but come from a relationship with Christ. Both singles and married individuals can experience discontent if they rely solely on external circumstances for biblical fulfillment.

Myth: Singleness produces loneliness, while marriage produces intimacy: Loneliness stems from a lack of intimacy, not from being single. Deep Christian intimacy needs are ultimately met through a relationship with Christ, who provides unconditional acceptance and companionship.

Celebrate your singleness, whether temporary or permanent, and live a life of undivided attention to the Lord.

1. Leaving a Legacy: The biblical values of our children and grandchildren TOMORROW depend on what we put in their hearts and minds TODAY.
2. Teaching Kids Early: Early years are learning years. It is never too early to teach your grandchildren about the Lord. Take every possible opportunity to introduce them to Jesus and intentionally instruct them. 
3. Sharing Your Story: When you declare the deeds of God, you do so as witnesses who have seen God do things and can’t keep quiet about it! Secondly, you report about matters of deep importance relating to God, and thirdly, you explain something to someone who has no knowledge of it.
4. Continued Ministry: Grandparents, does God have more for you? No matter your age, what is it that you still want to do for the Lord? Fill in the blank.
   To those of you who are older, what are you dreaming about? Or have you given up? What have you believed God for lately? What steps of faith have you recently taken for Him?

Grandparents, stay engaged in your faith, inspire the younger generation, and share your spiritual journey and experiences.

1. Live a life of staunch commitment to the Lord: Mary and Joseph's annual pilgrimage to Jerusalem for Passover exemplifies their unwavering dedication to God. This commitment sets a powerful example for children, as studies show that regular church attendance by parents significantly increases the likelihood of children maintaining their faith.
2. Pass on a legacy of faith to your children: Jewish traditions required parents to actively teach their children about God, a responsibility emphasized in Deuteronomy 6:5-9. Modern parents should also prioritize their children's spiritual development through prayer, worship, and teaching, ensuring that faith is an integral part of family life.
3. Allow children room to grow in their faith: The story of Jesus staying behind in the temple while His parents returned home illustrates the importance of giving children space to explore and develop their own faith. Parents must recognize that their child's relationship with God is paramount.
4. Mark meaningful moments: Parents should feel encouraged to cherish and make the most of significant moments in their children's lives, recognizing that these moments will soon become cherished memories.

By embracing these principles, parents can effectively nurture a strong, enduring faith in their children, ensuring that they grow up with a deep and personal relationship with God.

Understanding these divine principles transforms marriage into an exhilarating adventure. It's critical to leave behind old priorities, cleave to one another, and enjoy a transparent, intimate relationship. Embrace God's perfect provision and build a thriving marriage based on His timeless design.

We must trust God’s design for marriage. Then we must apply His principles.

• You led with a little more love?
• You led with a little more joy?
• You were marked by a spirit of peace?
• You lived with a little more patience?
• Your natural inclination was kindness, goodness, or faithfulness?
• And how could those around you benefit if the strength you possess transformed to meekness as you led with gentleness and self-control?

When Dads dwell, they discover their primary identity.

• God is not a better version of your earthly father; He is the perfect prototype of who a father is supposed to be. 
• Out of sonship to a perfect Father, we are able to lead out of the love He has lavished upon us.

When Dads dwell, their life leaves a legacy. Allow the Holy Spirit to mark your life so that you may impact others.

1. Live above reproach and honor authority.
2. Put your view of government in a healthy perspective.
3. Remember that no matter who is in office, God is still on the throne.
4. Don’t allow your personal views to affect your relationship with other believers.

• We have weapons the world doesn’t have.
• We are standing on the Rock: Jesus Christ.
• We are ambassadors of the King.

We have not been called by God to save America; we have been called by God to save Americans.

As we read through Proverbs 31, we encounter what many women dub as the "dreaded chapter" — the portrait of the seemingly perfect woman, and we find ourselves intimidated by her seemingly unattainable standards.

What if instead of feeling inadequate, we glean guidance from this passage? What if, like the Proverbs 31 woman, we learn to navigate life with divine direction and support?

To all mothers, be encouraged to persevere, to pray fervently, and to impart godly wisdom to your children. Though the journey may be marked by imperfections, remember that God's faithfulness transcends our failings. Moms, may you leave behind a legacy of faith and virtue, shaping generations to come.

Through Daniel's example, we're encouraged to remain steadfast in our faith amidst changing cultural norms and pressures. The Christian must maintain their character and integrity in the face of adversity, trusting in God's guidance and providence to navigate through life's challenges.

If you have eyes to see or ears to hear then you, too, can have the faith of Thomas. We have seen too much to ever go back on Jesus.

Jesus responds by stooping down and writing on the ground, prompting the accusers to leave one by one after He challenges them with the requirement of being sinless to cast the first stone. We don’t know what Jesus wrote, but we reflect on the implications of His actions. Eventually, Jesus addresses the woman directly, showing mercy and telling her to sin no more.

Jesus fulfills the Law through forgiveness and mercy, contrasting it with the legalistic approach of the religious leaders. Discover and be reminded of our universal need for mercy and the power of Christ's sacrifice for all who believe in Him. Just when we were about to be condemned, Christ stepped in and saved us.

Jesus takes a man deemed to have no value in humanity’s eyes and exemplifies that nothing can keep Him from pursuing you!

Jesus comes to the other side. He finds us in our despair. He brings peace to our chaos. And He gives us life to the fullest!

First, The Unconditional Disciple is a young man eager to follow Jesus wherever He leads. But as Jesus responds, he realizes the weight of the commitment he's making. Discover the true cost of discipleship as we dive deeper into the truth behind Jesus' challenging words.

Next is The Hesitant Disciple, who hesitates when called by Jesus, citing familial responsibilities. Explore the significance of Jesus' response and the deeper meaning behind prioritizing the kingdom of God.

Finally, The Misaligned Disciple, whose misplaced priorities hinder his readiness to follow Jesus.

This is the story of James’ and John’s mother asking Jesus for an upgrade in seating for her boys in Christ’s kingdom.

If we sit at the feet and catch the spirit of Him who takes good care that no cup of cold water given in His name misses its reward, we discover that, to Jesus, the players of small parts - the Second Fiddles - are precious beyond price.

On some topics and issues, Christians may disagree, yet maintain their fellowship with one another. Ultimately, we are not accountable to one another but to God.

Paul declares that the kingdom of God is not a matter of indifferent externals. In these things, we are to have love for each other, respecting the scruples of the individual as well as his or her liberties. Patience and an understanding spirit are called for. In matters of externals, the internal fruit of the Holy Spirit must be made manifest.

How are we to respond to others whose values are different from our own? Here are some guidelines for the “fuzzy” (non-black and white) areas of life.

When we think we are taking up God’s defense by pointing out what is wrong with those in authority, we are acting in rejection to God’s sovereignty & His will, not in agreement with it. We honor those in authority, and in doing so we honor God; but we do not regard those in authority as God.

It’s God’s kindness that leads to repentance; what if we modeled this in our lives?
