In this episode, we unravel the complexities of alcohol consumption among women and challenge some deeply held beliefs. Joined by my daughter Marci Rossi, a transformational success coach, we unpack how societal norms and personal stressors drive many women toward increased alcohol consumption. Marci's candid recounting of her journey from using alcohol as a crutch to overcoming dependency offers a profound look at the challenges and rewards of redefining one's relationship with alcohol.

We also take a deep dive into the physiological and psychological toll of alcohol, debunking the myth that moderate consumption can be beneficial. So often, the narrative around alcohol is skewed by biased studies funded by the alcohol industry, and we’re here to set the record straight. Learn why the supposed benefits of resveratrol in wine are far outweighed by the health risks, and how alcohol exacerbates stress and disrupts homeostasis in the body. With a focus on informed and mindful choices, we aim to empower listeners to reconsider their habits and the true impact of alcohol on their lives.

We also examine the limitations of traditional support systems like AA for women and marginalized groups, and Marci proposes a new approach that focuses on the underlying reasons for drinking. We also tackle the harmful "mommy wine culture" and societal pressures on women, advocating for embracing imperfection and authenticity. Marci's story of breaking the cycle of "normal" drinking and finding fulfillment as an entrepreneur serves as a powerful testament to the potential for change and self-discovery when we stop holding ourselves back with alcohol.

To learn more about Marci, visit her website at www.marcirossi.com or follow her on Instagram @CoachMarciRossi

Visit NoCape.Org
Download 10 Ways to Shed Your Superwoman Cape

Dr. Dara would love to connect.
http://www.linkedin.com/in/drdararossi
https://www.instagram.com/drdararossi
https://www.facebook.com/drdararossi
