SURPRISE!  Welcome to our Season 1 anniversary episode 🥂.  It’s a window into where I am in my healing journey one year after publishing The H.I. Note podcast.

I was so nervous to deliver this keynote talk at The Next Practice Institute in November 2024!  It was challenging for many reasons:
(1) It’s my FIRST ever full-length keynote talk
(2) It was one week after the U.S. presidential election, and I was devastated by the outcome.  Feeling crushed made it hard for me to be in a forward-looking mindset.  Instead of giving up hope, though, I chose to speak openly and vulnerably about healing and cyclebreaking leadership–in my life, in my work, and in our nation.
(3) I had pulled near all-nighters re-writing parts of my keynote to meet the moment

And yet, I did it!  Discussing healing with you and all the Season 1 guests of The H.I. Note for the past year gave me the confidence to deliver this talk.  

As I’ve said before, I’m SO GRATEFUL to YOU, the listeners, and everyone who helped make this podcast dream of mine a reality.⁠  I can't believe it's already been a YEAR!⁠

Within the syllables of a poem, I, Jenn Wynn, share where I am in 2023 in my healing journey, and the mind-body-soul unison that brought me to this point.  I've stood at the crossroads of healing, where the convergence of past and future, pain and relief intersected.  This season finale of The H.I. Note invites you, the listener, to witness my metamorphosis of internal growth and the discovery that our own being harbors key tools for our healing journeys.

As the primary caretaker for her dying parents, Nita Baum was not only aware of her grief, but also how she was being transformed.  Jenn talks with Nita about what true well-being looks like, and how pain and trauma can be a portal to wholeness, choice, and freedom – as well as connect us to the capacity and unawakened potential that already exists within ourselves.

Growing up Buddhist and as a bodyworker and pilates instructor, J. After almost two decades in the entertainment industry and facing personal losses including his father’s battle with ALS, Felipe needed to make space.  Over five hundred miles of it.  Jenn explores with Felipe his experience walking across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, as well as journeying inwards at a Buddhist monastery, on his quest to rediscover his ‘soft spot’ and the full spectrum of life’s emotions.

For much of her life, Jessica Neville thought that having a plan for everything would keep her safe.  Jenn talks with Jessica about how being diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 2021 spurred her to throw away her plan, reconnect with her body, and begin a path to healing.

Hi, I'm your host Jenn Wynn.  In 2021, I gave a talk called "Healing Conversations" that focused on my journey to heal from domestic violence in my childhood home.  At the end, I shared my wish for others in the audience and beyond to lead healing conversations with people in their lives as a way to create the world we want to live in.  This intro episode is that 2021 talk (video linked here).
