For years I have always wanted to be in the sport of Nascar. After working in Arca back in 2022 my path shifted to announcing. Tom helped me out tremendously when it came to finding my path. He's worked a lot of different places in Nascar, and is willing to help me out. Here, we take the time and talk about Tom's life story. 

Nascar makes its way into the round of 8, and with only 8 drivers remaining comes with a new set of challenges. Las Vegas, Talladega, and Martinsville.

Double header weekend race 2/2. Crystal motor speedway holds up to be another great show.

Double header race 1/2 was set in the Buckeye State of Ohio. Only a couple of the drivers in the field have competed here before, but the competition was top tier.

Another race in the books from Mount Pleasant Speedway. 15 drivers got thru qualifying and heats but when it came to the feature only one prevailed.

Race number 3 was by far the best one of the season. Every driver showed up with the intent to win, but who prevailed?

The champ did. Justin Ward was able to hold on to win 3 in a row with the Lightning Sprints, but can he do 4?

2025 delivers with a great season opener. Returning back to Silver Bullet, 14 drivers take on the track in Owendale. 14 to enter and only one to walk away in victory.

What an incredible rookie season for Geoff Miller. Making 15 features, competing in 13 of those 15, amassing 2 top 10's. 

9th at Crystal, and 10th at Tri-City, including leading laps at the new track Millstream Speedway.

One heck of a season!!!

That's a wrap. The 2024 season finally comes to a close. Justin Ward picks up his 5th championship, but 2nd consecutive. Plans for the champ in 2025 still unaware, but wherever he goes, he will thrive. 

Rough end to the year for Jacob Sabaj not winning the 10th, but no need to put his head down, 9 wins in his sophomore season is outstanding. Learned from his mistakes, and is looking to put together a 2025 season worth talking about.

Noah Wilfong snatches third in points at the last second from Bill Dunham, and has pushed to be better every race. Overcame obstacles, and with the help of his parents put together his best season yet. So much to come for this young 19 year old. Now off to college and time to figure out plans for next season.

Rookie Geoff Miller battled problems all year, at Butler and Tri City. But he fought back and showed everyone how to battle back. This team has been strong all year, able to lead laps at Millstream, and able to finish. Still unaware of his 2025 plans, but if he's coming back again, look out.

Final run at Crystal held strong for a great race. David Hilliker sits on top the boards for qualifying for the first time in 2024.

The race ran perfect, and so did Jacob Sabaj, as he wins for the 9th time tying Jac Nickles for most wins in a single season. Jacob has one more race to finally break that record, but 2024 Champion Justin Ward locked up the title. Great run for Jacob and Justin all year long.

One race left, it all comes down to the battle at the Bullet

Delayed start to the race at Millstream, but the show we put on was well worth the wait. 13 drivers traveled to Findlay for a greta night of action, including some also on Saturday to practice. Tune in to hear how the weekend played out, including interviews with drivers about how they liked the track.

Scary night, but packed with excitement. Battle side by side for the win between Jacob Sabaj and Derrick Hilliker, but in the end Sabaj was able to hold him off for win number 7. Seems crazy to think how Jacob could be a rookie in 2023, then compete for a championship in 2024, but he's currently trying to do it.

Great night for Dalton Pipgras, Avery Neal, Arlie Cooper Jr, Justin Ward, and Bill Dunham. Overall, the racing looks close and competitive, and it's not slowing down.

What another perfect night for Jacob Sabaj, scoring his 6th win of 2024. Other drivers having good night including: Justin Ward, Avery Neal, Derrick Hilliker, and Dalton Pipgras. 

An all sprint show from Tri City Motor Speedway allowed me to help co call again with Super Sprint announcer Zach Hiser. I've been learning a lot more about co calling, and I'm getting pretty decent at it. Next show up is Mount Pleasant, looks to be a great show.

What an incredible weekend for everyone who was able to make it. Lindsey Erickson able to pick up her first win with the Great Lakes lightning sprints. Mr Consistency of Justin Ward with another podium finish. Overall, it was a great show, but only 5 races remain until we claim a champion. Who will stand as the 2024 champion? Two days of racing action packed with excitement, and enthusiasm. Justin Ward sweeps the weekend, finally able to find victory lane after a long season of top 5's. Jacob Sabaj, Chad Colley, and Geoff Miller battle problems post Tri-City, but looking to come back stronger than ever. Arlie Cooper Jr, Bill Dunham, and David Hillier also battle problems post Merritt Speedway. Overall a packed weekend, and a wonderful Ward sweep.

Another great night from Butler Motor Speedway. A small car count of 10 cars, but still great action put on. First laps turned by Sabaj almost sets track record for the series, and Matt Cogley back with a heat win. But, in the end Jacob Sabaj held on to win for the 5th time in 2024.

What a night for all the drivers involved. The Great Lakes Supers, Traditional's, and Lightning Sprints all gathered up at Tri-City Motor Speedway for racing action. I had the opportunity to co-call the Traditional Sprint race with Super Sprint announcer Zach Hiser. It was a great experience for me, and I would love to do it again.

But again for the 4th time in 2024, Jacob Sabaj was able to win. Justin Ward coming in second place, but still looking for win number one of the season. Staying super consistent all year long. What a heck of a battle it was between Jacob Sabaj and Justin Ward for race number 6 of the season. Jacob battled problems starting after qualifying but was able to fight back and win for the third time in 2024. It's officially the first week off since we've been back racing in May, and I figured, why not get a little knowledge of what some of the wives have been thinking. Tune in to hear insight from the wives of Justin Ward, Jacob Sabaj, and Chad Colley.

Race number 5 of the season is complete at Crystal Motor Speedway. Hats off to all the crew who made this show possible, and my job wouldn't be possible without them. 

Overall, race number 5 was a great show, however the track seemed rough for everyone that raced on it. Brendon Cascadden who set the fast time had something to say about it, but in the end, Eli Wilhelmus, driver from MMSA, was able to hold on for the feature win. Congrats to Eli, and everyone who held on to the end. Looking forward to June 29th when the series heads to Merritt Speedway.

What a day at Mount Pleasant. 20 cars ready to take on the action, but only one finding victory lane in the form of Brendon Cascadden. What looked like a strong day for the 21 turned into a chase to the leader, only finding his way to second.

One of the youngest drivers in the field finished podium, Avery Neal. Tune in to hear how he felt about his strong finish last weekend.

What a show it was, from trying to beat the rain, to just barely making it. Only 18 drivers showed up for feature time, but the show that we put on was still spectacular. The 2023 Rookie was able to go back to the top in victory lane as he was able to hold off the man of the hour, Brendon Cascadden. It's been a long time since we've been racing with the Great Lakes Lightning Sprints, here is a quick update on what's new for the 2024 season

It all came down to one race, it was at Crystal Motor Speedway. Tight points battle between Matt Cogley and Justin Ward heading into the final race, but it was Justin to come out on top. Two races left in the season, and it was go time. Justin Ward has been on a hot streak winning the last 3 races in a row and the points were tight. Tri City and Crystal were the last two races to decide a champion.

Unlike some of our drivers this season running 8+ races, we also had drivers that ran maybe one or two. Today we will be talking to one of those drivers who only ran two races, but still managed to find victory lane.

Another great race put on by the Great Lakes Lightning Sprints at Mount Pleasant Speedway. It was crunch time at this point in the season, and none other than Justin Ward rose to the occasion. The next race of the season came at I-96 speedway. At this point in the season you had to step up and start bringing your A game, and that's what this two time champion did.
