In between dishing out their second takes of the initial College Football Playoff rankings cold like revenge, the SEC was where it was at this week as the league of consequence.

Alabama at LSU feels like a playoff elimination game, while Georgia at Ole Miss could determine how many SEC teams get in this year.

And in between figuring out the Admiral Akbar Trap Game and the Antonio Banderas Bowl for this week, the boys rocked out to the Canadian country icon that is Shania Twain for some Just Like Novocaine.

False Start will getcha good, as it can only go up from here.

As Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) was doing more serious work things, John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) flew solo like a cup to bring you our first College Football Playoff Rankings Reaction Show, Goldilocks style!

Buhler first reacted to the top 25 rankings, followed up by the 12-team playoff bracket before picking apart the Selection Committee's logic.

He picked three teams that he felt the committee was too hot on, too cold on and three that were ranked just right.

What a weekend it was in college football!

The upsets we have been craving returned in a big way with teams like Clemson, Texas A&M and Iowa State all going down, in addition to Penn State losing to Ohio State once again.

This was one of those Saturdays where clarity started to emerge when it comes to the College Football Playoff picture.

Of course, we can never take our eyes off The Live Dog Diego Pavia for even one second. The Vanderbilt quarterback will haunt Hugh Freeze's dreams forever.

The AP Top 25 may foreshadow what the College Football Playoff becomes.

The Selection Committee will have its work cut out for it when the 13-something individuals have to put together their 12-team playoff field. While Texas A&M looks like the Aggies will very much be a part of it, what about BYU potentially separating from the rest of the pack in the Big 12?

The Cougars were a major point of discussion between John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) and Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) in forecasting their playoff fields. At 8-0, they have simply been more dominant over 7-0 Iowa State. They would only face each other in the Big 12 Championship Game.

To wrap the show up, the boys touched on the mighty fine job Mike Elko is doing at Texas A&M before pouring one out for six seven-loss teams. Cody did his best Fred Durst impression on celebrating a slew of teams getting to six wins.

We have found our third College Football Playoff lock out of the SEC!

After seeing Texas A&M make a quarterback change, the Aggies beat rival LSU at Kyle Field to stay unbeaten in SEC. They join Georgia and Texas in the CFP lock category in their league. As for LSU, the Bayou Bengals have to beat Alabama.

Across the Power Four, the guys think Oregon could potentially go undefeated en route to winning it all. However, they remain skeptical about contending teams such as Miami and Penn State in particular.

C'mon, fire me up with some False Start!

The Rocket Boys didn't disappoint. While they still don't really know what an auk is, they have the aux and decided to Armageddon It with some Carmageddon for Northwestern at Iowa.

John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) and Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) previewed the Week 9 slate with the help of Def Leppard and plenty of October Sky references that you and I and no one wanted.

The SEC will send us to space this week in a rocket with LSU at Texas A&M, Missouri at Alabama, and Texas at Vanderbilt.
 
As for the Big Ten, well, the boys might have to go freaking Snakeroot to see Illinois keep its slim playoff dreams alive in Autzen vs. Oregon.

And as far as who the unlucky ones are in the Power Four, some were easier to identify than others.

And down goes Texas!

It was a bludgeoning at DKR on Saturday night, as Georgia handed the Longhorns their first defeat of the season. While it may have been a terribly officiated game, both teams are feeling comfortable about their chances of making the playoff.

As for Alabama, not so much... The Crimson Tide fell to 5-2 on the year by losing the Third Saturday in October in back-to-back trips to Neyland. Close, but no cigar.

While the SEC remains in flux regarding its playoff hopefuls, the State of Indiana has two teams we would like to see be a part of it in Indiana and Notre Dame. All hail Coach Cig!

And as far as head coaches who may need to dust off their resumes, Lincoln Riley and Brent Venables do not look like they are up for the challenge post conference realignment. The Power Two is eating them alive. The same thing applies to Sherrone Moore at Michigan, but Jim Harbaugh left him with nothing to work with.

John Buhler (Staff Writer, FanSided.com) welcomes back to the program his delightful co-host Cody Williams (Content Director, FanSided.com) after various travels and slight misfortunes.

Cody arrived just in time to be too late to convince Buhler that Georgia is going to beat Texas in Austin. Buhler calls it an emo hedge, while Cody remains ride or die with Quinn Ewers, no matter what.

As the guys turned their attention elsewhere in the Power Two, they recognize the loser of the Third Saturday in October between Alabama and Tennessee will be going to a darker place than Aaron Rodgers on holiday.

As far as what happens in Fayetteville, the guys are expecting for LSU to throw a shoe in the Battle for the Golden Boot with Arkansas in their border war or sorts.

And with Big Ten Energy coursing through their veins like a coronary, they are intrigued by Nebraska at Indiana, as well as either Michigan or Illinois being crossed off in their Spider-Man Meme midwestern fraud bowl of sorts.

With the power of Kansas, we have reached the point of no return in college football. We all may be dust in the wind one day, but let's continue to rise above the noise and confusion for the Song for America, better known as False Start!
