Perhaps a merciful state and not a flaw. Divinely designed. Defense mechanism. A definitive before and after occurred. I am someone else that I don’t recognize. And I am the same. What tests should be done before someone is supported in gender affirming care:

* A full hormone panel to rule out imbalances
* A micronutrient test
* Test of pesticide levels in the body
* CBC, CMP, Thyroid panel
* Diet assessment
* Body composition
* Neuropsychologial eval or something similar

Micronutrient deficiencies change ones perception of the world and impact hormones.

Dietary options can increase estrogen or lower testosterone.

Lean body mass wasting can create chronic disease, changes to mental health status and hormonal imbalances. Excess body fat can cause estrogen dominance.
Thyroid disorders can impact mental health, as with anemia, liver stress and mineral deficiencies.

Low self esteem/self worth can cause individuals to do whatever it takes to fit in, to be celebrated, to be loved, to feel as if they are enough.

Atrazine (a pesticide on foods) impacts reproductive organs. Male frogs exposed to atrazine turn into female frogs. Link to how many pesticides are utilized in the US .

If any imbalance found above is normalized, the person has good mental health and has a fully developed frontal lobe, then maybe they can make a sound decision as to whether they want to move forward with gender reassignment. I suggest each individual talk with a few who are 5-10+ years into the journey to understand the cons associated with various body functions afterwards.

* Scar tissue can cause various neuromuscular issues, pesky problems and pain for years to come. 

*Biological males and females can rarely figure out how to balance their hormones. What do you think it will be like attempting to morph biology altogether. 

* Many people change their mind after choices such as breast implants, tattoos and marriage. Gender affirming care can be permanent, with zero return if you decide it's a mistake. 

*54% of 20-30 year olds have a chronic diagnosis, most in their original design. What do you think the chances increase to after major surgeries and multiple medications? 

* There was a 1 in 400 trillion chance you became you in this physical realm. Maybe who you are is not a mistake. Maybe we are living in a world pushing us to believe we are not enough. 

Making a decision to completely alter who you are, may not be the blessing it's made out to be. It's important to ensure you have researched all angles before making such life altering decisions for yourself or your children.
