Every episode starts with a book review and ends with a Taylor Swift song. It’s a podcast for book lovers, Swifties and everyone in between. Together, we deep dive into characters, plots and the best moments from our favorite books. Then I use my swiftie power to breakdown songs & lyrics that I think would fit that book best. For any newbies who are just getting into reading, this podcast might be the perfect place to start your tbr! (and if you don’t know what a tbr is, don’t worry you’ll get there). 


Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just tuning in, I’m happy you’re here!! I started this podcast because I could talk for hours endlessly about two things: books & Taylor Swift. So I found a way to combine my love for both. I have always wanted  to be a part of the book community but had no idea where to start. If even just one person picks up a new book after listening to one of these episodes, I’ll be happy. It’s been such a fun experience reading & recording these episodes, releasing them and finding those people that geek out over this idea as much as I do.🤓

I feel like I am not a very good first reaction girly, but here we are. The first time I listen to an album I’m usually pretty conflicted and it takes me a few lessons to really find my favorites and listen to the lyrics deep enough to understand them. With that being said, my expectations for this album are HIGH. I’m expecting an album bigger than 1989 in her prime, bigger than any album we’ve seen so far. I think as the years pass, I realize how much of Reputation girlie I am🖤 I wasn’t initially until I went into my Reputation era in real life and then as I went through phases of other eras a little piece of Rep always was still a part of me. When you go through this era you stop caring what other people think and start doing things for you and I think that once you realize that and go through it, you never go back from it. I feel like that’s how I explain Rep as an album for Taylor Swift as well, and that’s also how I’m choosing to explain this book. Full episode breakdown ahead:

First topic of discussion has to be Garrett Graham bc I love my little world of book boyfriends and Garrett certainly made it onto my list🏒Then we get into Hannah and the trauma of her story and what she’s been through, and then we talk about Garrett AND Hannah and their relationship together and how/why I liked them as a couple. Notice I say “liked” not LOVED (I rated this book 3 out of 5 stars). So we’ll talk about it, what I liked, what I disliked. And I actually asked you guys to throw some of your questions at my on instagram so I incorporated some of them into the episode! And lastly, our song featured in today’s episode is from the Reputation album, it is called King of My Heart so I am really excited to talk about the lyrics and the parallels of it in comparison to the Deal by Elle Kennedy.

You are in Love) With this episode, Hannah Grace officially becomes the most talked about author on this podcast and she deserves it! Every time I read one of her books, I’m smiling & blushing the whole time. And I’ve been WAITING for Henry’s book since the day I finished Icebreaker. Henry Turner has a special place in my little heart and this song was made for Henry & Halle💜

Some say boring I say simple; this was my favorite book in the Maple Hills trilogy. We start  this episode with the plotline and a character breakdown of both of our love birds, Halle and Henry, bc I think that they are both very real & relatable characters. I talk a lot about the entire Maple Hills series and the cameos of other character in this book. I wouldn’t even call them cameos tbh, Russ & Aurora from Wildfire are recurring characters in Daydream, and we got such an iconic Stassie moment, it’s like these books are their own little world and I love it so much. And then we  wrap up with the featured song of this romance that I think fits Halle and Henry so perfectly well, which is You are in Love from 1989 (Taylor’s version). So insert spoilers ahead.  💭🫶🏼

It put me in such a perfect mood for this time of year, and yes, it was a 5 star for me. I listened to the official audiobook on Audible, which was so easy to listen to and very entertaining, and the cast really brought the entire book to life so if you're looking for a good audiobook to try, this might just be the one. 🎧

This episode includes a little rating recap on this 5 star Christmas read, and there is  a lot about this book I want to talk about: the Grinch references and the Christmas Kringle contest, Cole and Story’s story - their relationship, their past and the SPICE. Absolutely talking about the spice duh you know me (I may never look at a candy cane the same anymore). The episode will wrap up with lyrical deep dive into the featured song that I chose for this book which is I Think He Knows from the Lover album, which is also a fun sexy song that to me... feels like a sister song to Dress from Reputation. So it is not too late for a cutesy fall small town romance!!🧡  It’s still fall in my world, and it’s technically still fall in everyone’s world for a few more weeks. I wanted so badly to throw this episode in here bc the book we are about to talk about is just so cozy and adorable and something I really enjoyed reading for the vibes. Your episode breakdown is pretty straight forward: a mini rant about booktok, a summarized version of my review on this book, the Dream Harbor series and Laurie Gilmore, and ofc the things that I liked and disliked about this book and end the episode with some of my favorite lyrics from Everything has Changed.☕️

Everything Has Changed is about how love can change you in a split second. It’s the miraculous feeling that the world around you has gotten better simply because you’ve gotten better: you’ve found comfort in loving someone. Taylor once explained this song begin about “the moment that both people are having where they see each other and, all of a sudden, the world looks different ‘cause everything changed.” And the insta-love trope in this book is why I chose this song. And if you ask me how I feel about the insta-love trope... I'll tell you to listen to this episode. 😉

I mean how could I not love an intelligent, witty fmc paired with a confident Alpha werewolf who will do anything to protect his pack? Not to mention their bed chem.🌶️🔥🥵 (Disclaimer: This episode and this book are both rated R.)

The first song that actually came to mind for this book was the albatross from the TTPD Anthology, but selfishly… I do so much prep and require a dictionary to talk about most TTPD songs and I wanted this episode to be fun & light hearted & spooky so Anti-Hero it is. Which is still a really good choice lyrically of this book, in my opinion. It's a secretly vulnerable song about the thoughts and insecurities that keep us up in the middle of the night, so it's perfect to talk in comparison to our heroine, Misery, in Bride.

]]> Halloween special!!!!👻 Getting into the spooky szn vibes with a vampire x werewolf romance🖤 Never would’ve guessed that I would like this book as much as I did, but I should’ve known better bc it’s @alihazelwood & I love anything she writes. I mean how could I not love an intelligent, witty fmc paired with a confident Alpha werewolf who will do anything to protect his pack? Not to mention their bed chem.🌶️🔥🥵 (Disclaimer: This episode and this book are both rated R.)

The first song that actually came to mind for this book was the albatross from the TTPD Anthology, but selfishly… I do so much prep and require a dictionary to talk about most TTPD songs and I wanted this episode to be fun & light hearted & spooky so Anti-Hero it is. Which is still a really good choice lyrically of this book, in my opinion. Liz was the silly little love lover in Better than the Movies, but Wes Bennet turning into a hopeless romantic was not on my 2024 reading bingo card. 😂

I already talked a little bit about Liz & Wes in last week’s episode, but today we are really going to talk about their second chance love story and a little bit more about them as characters and how they developed  from the first book. Then we will listen to some of the songs that I love, where they’re mentioned in the book & pick out a few of my favorite lyrics that fit Wes & Liz the best. (Some of the bonus songs are: I Love You I’m Sorry by Gracie Abrams, Still by Niall Horan, another Taylor song that is placed perfectly which is Illicit Affairs, and I’m sorry but another Taylor Swift song that is mentioned in both book which is New Year’s Day.) This is a double drop episode with Nothing Like the Movies next weekend!! Lynn Painter is not only a new favorite author of mine, but also one of my favorite humans. She writes a mix of adult and YA rom-com books, and it is very clear that she has a thorough appreciation for 90’s and 2000's rom coms which I can absolutely relate to. AND I love a book that has a playlist.🎶 You all know how I listen to music and why I love Taylor Swift so much, and I am also one of those girls like Liz Buxbaum that always has a song for every emotion and every situation that life throws at you. 

This episode is a little bit about Lynn Painter, the author and why I love her so so much, then we will doing a lyrical dive in our song featured in today’s episode, Fearless, and talk about the Fearless era and some common themes in the album, I also have to talk about the playlist for this book that Lyn Painter created for the moments in this book, and then my final thoughts on Better than the Movies and of course, my newest addition the podcast: fancasting. Ariel, Alexis and Taylor Swift all have one thing in common and that is: they all fall in love with a man that they know that they shouldn’t, and these relationships are sabotage by the critique they get from the people in their lives. 

The rest of your episode breakdown includes, a lyrical breakdown for But Daddy I Love Him and that’s essentially going to be the script for this episode on its own bc it just fits this book THAT GOOD. We are breaking up our fantasy era of A Court of Thorns and Roses with a little Rom-com book bc that’s what I do best. This book is about Alexis Montgomery, an ER doctor from a big city with a family title she has to uphold, and Daniel, a carpenter/mayor, (figuratively not literally) in the tiny town of Wakan, MN and he runs a B & B, he has a dog and a baby goat and he’s absolute perfect of a male main character. The two could not be more different and their worlds couldn't be farther apart but just like in The Little Mermaid, they build their own happily ever after.  🧜🏼‍♀️❤️

AMARANTHA SHOULD BE.⚔️ I am officially in my fantasy era by starting this series, but still living forever in my romance era because these books are still romance heavy (and breaking the spicy pepper scale).🌶️ I never expected to love this series so much. Now I'm 3 books deep, living in the magical world of Prythean and adding phrases like "by the Cauldron!" in my daily life. When I tell people how good this series is and they say, "oh I don’t read fantasy." My response is neither do I. I haven’t read a fantasy book since Twilight in fifth grade, so I wouldn’t tell you as a non-fantasy reader that it was good if it wasn’t and I’m so glad that I started with it to get me to try something.

This episode is an introductory course into fantasy and Prythen. I call it "ACOTAR for Dummies." I talk a lot about the characters and the plot, while also giving you some of my opinion on the first book (trying to be as unbias as possible since I've read the next two books in the series) and of course, listen & sing along to an incredibly dramatic song from the Tourtured Poets department. It is THE LONGEST episode in DBATB history and a DOUBLE DROP with the second book, so thank you as always for tuning in.🫶🏼

Call It What You Want) I might be missing something bc i don’t understand where the lemons on the cover came from, but we’re going with it. I have to admit that this book got me! I enjoyed it so much more than I expected to. Most romance novels that I read, specifically second chance romance, end with the main couple getting back together. Previously, I would swoon over a guy in second chance romance that sees his ex after 10, 15, 20 years, whatever and immediately breaks up with whoever he’s with because he realizes he is still in love with someone else. I love that shit, round of applause because no girl deserves to be with someone that is secretly in love with someone else. But because I am an empath, my heart still breaks for that girl that gets left even though it’s the right thing. Funny story is about that girl. Miles & Daphne are a story I would read over and over again, and it really is a funny story. 🤭

This is a perfect example of a forced proximity, friends to lovers trope. It’s 100% a slow burn. It’s got spice, like right in the middle of the hot pepper scale - the perfect amount to produce that chemistry. I have always love this song, but somehow these lyrical breakdown make me love songs even more, bc even tho I know in my head what I think they’re about, really digging deeper into the lyrics and the eras and explaining the meaning out loud on the podcast is so much fun.

I like my books to match the vibes, so I think this book is perfect to transition from our typical summer romances to that cozy kind of fall vibe. 

This episode features That’s When (ft. Keith Urban) from the Fearless vault tracks and it seriously fits this romance SO well. This book is a mix of all my favorites put together - friendship, second chance romance, friends to loversss!!!! Its giving Happy Place meets The Summer I Turned Pretty with maybe a little bit of Love and Other Words thrown in there too, which were all some of my favorite books. So it would make sense that I would love this mashup. But more than anything I just love how Carley Fortune writes bc she just gives you so much literary imagery, so you truly feel like you’re on PEI. I loved Lucy & Felix, and their relationship but something about Carley Fortune’s writing makes you feel like you’re physically in the book. Everything about this book feels like home. The authenticity of the setting feels unmatched.🇨🇦 I don’t think Carley Fortune gets the credit she deserves for her writing so I hope I can change your mind in this episode!

You knew it was coming… i couldn’t resist. Blake Lively was an amazing Lily Bloom, and I did enjoy this movie but I enjoyed even more talking about it in this episode. I’m calling it the redemption episode for It Ends with Us because I 💩 on this book (and the behind the scenes movie photos) in previous episodes so I have a new outlook that I’m excited to share with you!

The Prophecy) A beautifully written song from TTPD for an equally beautiful book in today’s episode.🤍The Prophecy is one of my personal favorites from The Anthology (second to The Black Dog). My overall interpretation of this song is feeling like you’re left behind and wondering when it’s your turn to be happy, whether that love or life, it’s about a sense of hopelessness that everything and everyone around you is happening without you. It’s so vulnerable and raw and a very complex song to break down in this episode. 

My first Abby Jimenez book: a success. I had to restrain myself from buying everything else she’s ever written. This book is giving 'IF HE WANTED TO HE WOULD.’  A golden retriever, good hearted, MMC paired with a  hardworking, emotionally traumatized FMC makes for a whirlwind romance that is so magical. This episode is backwards! We start with the song and finish talking about Justin & Emma’s love story. 💩👑

It’s only lacking for me in very small elements of the book that as a reader, just dont work for me and I’ll get more into that with the spoilers. When I'm reading a book, I go into my own little world and I sometimes find it so difficult to separate book from real life. If you love Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, and are so smitten by their whirlwind romance, READ THIS BOOK. You won’t be disappointed. 🏈💍

The crossover for today’s episode takes us back to the 1989 era. I have always seen this song as a step-by-step explanation from a girls point of view of how to win her back when you’ve made a mistake. This is how a guy is supposed to be. It’s interesting to think about the sarcastic undertones in the words, but in this episode, we get into a lyrical deep dive and why “How You Get the Girl” reminds me of Nora and Derek.

I Can See You) The book that got me out of a reading slump💚 This is a debut novel for Grace Reilly and there will be a total of four books in her “Beyond the Play” series; all of which follow different sports and siblings of the Callahan family (all of which will be getting their own episodes as they come out). First Down is a college, fake dating romance that tells the story of James and Bex. They came together naturally as “friends” then quickly as a fake couple in a mutual arrangement to get Bex’s ex off her back and for superstar QB, James, to get the help he needs to pass his writing class. It’s a book that reels you in from the very beginning and keeps you hooked until the end.

If you can’t handle the spice, then stay away from this episode because Grace Reilly is a SPICE. AUTHOR. Definitely a PG-13 rated book but I’ll tone it down for the younger audience on this podcast. If you know anything about me, I love smut. I’ll read it all damn day long. This book reminded me too much of one of my favorite vault tracks from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). We all remember hearing that one, sultry lyric for the first time with our jaws dropped; at this point in her career, we had no idea Taylor had a spicy side and eleven years later, she is spilling the tea. This episode is a full book review (with and without spoilers, you know the drill) plus a lyrical AND music video break down of “I Can See You” from the vault. 👀

Jackie Howard loses her family in a tragic accident and has to uproot her perfect little New York life to move to Silver Falls, Colorado and live with (you guessed it) the Walter boys. On one hand, Walter Boys is a quick, fun read that is just fluffy. It’s a sweet story and I enjoyed it the same way I enjoy oreos – it's junkfood, but you can’t just read one page. For some reason you keep coming back for more. And somehow, despite its many flaws, I still loved reading it when I was in high school, and I think many teens will like it, too.

My Life with the Walters boys premiered as a Netflix series in December of 2023, and has been officially renewed for a second season! This episode talks about the book, the show, the differences between both and highlights a very nostalgic song from the Fearless era because let’s face it: we all know what it felt like to be “Fifteen” 💛

Her fourth studio album RED had it’s moment 11 years ago, and it had its moment again in 2021 when it was rereleased as (Taylor’s Version). When explaining the re-record of this album , Taylor Swift says: “I look back on RED as my true breakup album. Every other album has flickers of different things. But this was an album that I wrote specifically about pure, absolute, to the core heartbreak.” And that is exactly how we are going to dive into this era.

In this episode, we of course have to talk about the original era & track list, but that doesn’t even scratch the surface of how much of an impact this album has had in present day. We now have the All Too Well (TMV) & Short Film to discuss, along with our top 5 songs including the tracks (from the vault). So was yesterday, and so is tomorrow, and every day from now until forever!” That is becauseee we’re doing a crossover episode that is completely unmatched by any other! The fact that The Man isn’t on the Barbie soundtrack is honestly a crime. This song and movie represent each other perfectly in the world of double standards for women in society. To set the record straight: we aren’t going to drill feminism into your brain in this episode. 

Barbie is the film of the summer, hands down - something about it is so nostalgic & strategic at the same time. It puts a new twist on some of our favorite childhood memories growing up with Barbie (and Polly Pockets). We had so much fun talking about everything associated with this movie! Seeing the characters in the film and the outfits of the press tour mirror actual dolls from decades ago makes us believe that Greta Gerwik is actually a mastermind. We want to talk about some of the laugh-out-loud moments, our thoughts on casting and the overall production of the film. We wanted to pair it with the Lover era & The Man because they share a similar message. In the second half of this episode, we attempt to breakdown all of the easter eggs hidden in The Man music video, (and there are so much more than you realize) including the iconic graffiti wall that is tied to the order of Taylor Swift’s rerecording. We think the better question is: how do you choose? These are the kind of thoughts we have going into this episode. If DBATB had to pick it’s favorite era, Lover would steal the entire show (the name of this podcast is literally inspired by this album). We knew it was the first album we wanted to talk about in these new episodes because it was the first album to be fully owned Taylor Swift.

From being released in 2019 to Cruel Summer becoming a radio single in 2023, Lover is an era that is known for it’s cozy, pastel, romantic aesthetic (and also it’s poppy, upbeat songs). The jump from the Reputation era to Lover is truly like night & day. She hid from the outside world for years, had to defend herself for lies, and ultimately had her music stolen. She came back from that downfall with an album that you could tell she was proud of, that she truly put her entire heart into, and put out the music that she truly wanted to.  She spoke out about things that mattered to her. She wrote about the things that happen in the real word. She went from an artist to an activist. Her music has always been relatable to girls with boy drama, but in this era, her music packs a powerful message (while also being relatable to girls with boy drama).  In this episode, we are breaking down music videos, easter eggs & revealing our top 5 favorite songs from the album.

What we thought was going to be a fun, fluffy romance turned out to be gut wrenching, desperate and heartbreaking. It makes you laugh, cry and curse every other page. It bounces between the “Happy Place” and “Real Life” chapters which brings the entire book full circle. 


This book is a combination of every emotion and every era combined. The Archer from Lover, Right Where You Left Me from Evermore, This Is Me Trying from Folklore - all songs that almost got a full feature in this episode. In it’s entirety, this book is Midnights with Wyn being the sunshine and Harriet being Midnight Rain (another honorable mention song). When asked what song on the Midnights album this book fit best with, Emily Henry said Maroon. Once you hear it, you can’t unhear it.

By this point in the series, we’ve all taken sides - Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah. You made it through the first two books and you have to complete the series regardless of how you feel. So in the end, you’re either let down and hate them entirely OR you’re happy with the ending and this book remains one of your favorites of all time. As much as we hate to admit it, we fall into the latter category. 


We ended the second book with Conrad and Belly on the outs and now Jeremiah being thrown into the love triangle (which let’s be honest we all saw that coming). We finally get a glimpse into what the “Jelly” relationship would look like. It’s fun, lighthearted & adorable… until it’s not. Their relationship is put through the ringer and it’s unclear what the future looks like for Belly and the Fisher boys. In the end, love comes out on top. In this episode, we honor Taylor Swift’s first re-recorded song from the 1989 album which is also featured in the PrimeVideo TV series of The Summer I Turned Pretty. It’s the best song to wrap up this trilogy. Here’s to This Love.

Coney Island) It's Not Summer Without You (ft. Coney Island) This episode is part two of three in the Summer I Turned Pretty series. If you haven’t listened to episode 7, it is highly recommended before listening to this episode. At first read, this entire series is super cheesy and childish. It’s Not Summer Without You is honestly really annoying at times. Sure it’s not for everyone. For book lovers out there like us that see this series for more than a YA novel, there is still so much that it has to offer. You either love this series or you hate it, and you already know we love it.

We left off with our two favorite love birds finally confessing their feelings for each other. We pick up book 2 continuing to follow the love story between Belly and the Fisher boys but there’s some more plot twists and sub plots that we get along the way.  The story continues about not only love, but also loss, growth & family. We get to hear from dual POV’s and see characters deal with things that are out of their control. That’s why the song featured in this episode isn’t a clear love song - it’s a really sad song, apologetic and regretful that deserves a lot more appreciation. It’s called Coney Island from the Evermore album but ironically enough it’s not about an amusement park. I guess you’re just gonna have to listen to the episode to understand this beautiful metaphor.

]]> This episode is part two of three in the Summer I Turned Pretty series. If you haven’t listened to episode 7, it is highly recommended before listening to this episode. At first read, this entire series is super cheesy and childish. It’s Not Summer Without You is honestly really annoying at times. Sure it’s not for everyone. For book lovers out there like us that see this series for more than a YA novel, there is still so much that it has to offer. You either love this series or you hate it, and you already know we love it.

We left off with our two favorite love birds finally confessing their feelings for each other. We pick up book 2 continuing to follow the love story between Belly and the Fisher boys but there’s some more plot twists and sub plots that we get along the way.  The story continues about not only love, but also loss, growth & family. We get to hear from dual POV’s and see characters deal with things that are out of their control. That’s why the song featured in this episode isn’t a clear love song - it’s a really sad song, apologetic and regretful that deserves a lot more appreciation. It’s called Coney Island from the Evermore album but ironically enough it’s not about an amusement park. I guess you’re just gonna have to listen to the episode to understand this beautiful metaphor.

This book is represented by a song from Taylor’s Debut album because they are both underrated but so so good and meaningful to their original fans. The song itself, I’d Lie, is an ode to our one and only, Belly Conklin.

In this episode, we talk about love & heartbreak, but also, personal challenges, growth and mental health awareness. We love a good romance but we love a powerful message more and there is such a sweet one hidden in this book. 

If you haven’t listened to episode 3, you might want to do that first because we are revisiting Every Summer After to discuss how Carley Fortune has evolved as an author. She is so captivating, and makes you feel every single moment and emotion she is writing in her books. It’s truly magical. Or should we say enchanting? It was pretty quickly into this book that we knew that the song for this episode was going to be Enchanted from the Speak Now era, and when we heard the announcement of Taylor’s Version (coming July 7th) the same day we finished Meet Me at the Lake, we had too much to say about it. Don't Blame Me) Now entering the Rep era of Death by a Thousand Books podcast. Four episodes of fun, light hearted romance novels - now here we are giving you our take on an incredibly dark & twisted book called Verity by Colleen Hoover. It’s a perfect example of how there’s a Taylor Swift song for any book you throw in our direction. You’d think it’d be hard to find a song for a murder/mystery/thriller but there is a touch of romance in this book that fits in between the lines. If you haven’t read this book yet, make sure you don’t have plans the next day because you will stay up until 2am finishing it. 

This book is suspenseful, creepy and highly questionable. There are two sides to every story and in Verity, we are left in the end extremely confused. The writing comes off very surface level and one sided at times so we want to have an open mind when talking about all the different theories behind the climax. In this episode, we take a look into who we think Verity truly is as a character and who the real villain is in this story. Oh and let’s not forget to discuss the damn manuscript. So much to get into this episode but Don’t Blame Me… blame Colleen Hoover.

It’s always hard jumping into a book from booktok or bookstagram because the expectation is already set so high by so many other people. Icebreaker by Hannah Grace may have set a new high standard for romance novels in our world. Reading this book felt like listening to Lover (the album) for the first time - fun, romantic, adorable, peaceful.  Nate & Stassie are a couple that came together so naturally, and we loved the way their story was told. The book is written from a dual POV so we get to see their individuality as characters while seeing them fall in love simultaneously. Bonus trope: side characters!! Lola, Henry, JJ - every character in this book has their own little storyline.

You already know Lover is our favorite album, and Lover is our favorite song. Which brings us full circle back to this episode. We knew it had to be something special - sooooo, since we have a love story told from both Nate & Anastasia’s perspective, we chose a twist on our favorite song that does the same thing. Icebreaker is the debut novel by author Hannah Grace, and she did not disappoint; her second book Wildfire is in the works as we speak! Check out the book synopsis below for this episode:

Carley Fourtune’s Every Summer After features the same kind of Love & Other Words friendship plotline with a taste of second chance romance. Love is messy, and so are the good read reviews of this book, which brings us to a very controversial episode of really breaking down the contents of the relationship between Sam and Percy. Red) Who’s your favorite Taylor Swift ex to hate? If the answer is John Mayer, you’re correct. However, if the answer is Jake Gylenhaal, then we have a book for you. This is the first book from Colleen Hoover’s collection that is up for discussion but it will certainly not be the last time you hear her name on this podcast. She has always said that It Ends with Us holds a special place in her heart. You can tell that it’s a personal story and because of that, it has a powerful message behind it. Ryle Kincaid is the Jake Gylenhaal of the Taylor Swift world: charismatic, lovable, but exposed for the poor decisions he made and the terrible truth behind him as a man. 

Contrary to what you may be thinking, this episode isn’t about All Too Well but it is from the Red era. It’s about the journey through the different colors and emotions of what it feels like to have and lose someone. The sad blues, the lonely grays, and the burning reds. It captures the overall feeling of this whirlwind of love and makes it perfect to compare to It Ends with Us in this episode. 

It Ends with Us went viral on TikTok in 2021 and quickly became the book of the summer, which was unheard of given that it was published in 2016. Selling less than twenty-thousand copies in its first year of publication, it now has an estimated number of over 500-thousand sold copies.  Check out the book summary written below:

This is the first book from Colleen Hoover’s collection that is up for discussion but it will certainly not be the last time you hear her name on this podcast. She has always said that It Ends with Us holds a special place in her heart. You can tell that it’s a personal story and because of that, it has a powerful message behind it. Ryle Kincaid is the Jake Gylenhaal of the Taylor Swift world: charismatic, lovable, but exposed for the poor decisions he made and the terrible truth behind him as a man. 

Contrary to what you may be thinking, this episode isn’t about All Too Well but it is from the Red era. It’s about the journey through the different colors and emotions of what it feels like to have and lose someone. The sad blues, the lonely grays, and the burning reds. It captures the overall feeling of this whirlwind of love and makes it perfect to compare to It Ends with Us in this episode. 

It Ends with Us went viral on TikTok in 2021 and quickly became the book of the summer, which was unheard of given that it was published in 2016. Selling less than twenty-thousand copies in its first year of publication, it now has an estimated number of over 500-thousand sold copies.  Check out the book summary written below:
