This episode was inspired by the great work of Logan Ury whose book, How Not to Die Alone explores the dating strategies that make the math of online dating work in your favor.

It was also inspired by Dr. Hannah Fry, whose 2015 TED talk on The Mathematics of Love uncovers the hidden story of how numbers make the online dating world go round.

According to a recent article in The Atlantic by Faith Hill, we shouldn’t be so quick to discount the value of rebound relationships - at least not for the newly unattached. Research shows that for some, these early rebound relationships can bolster self-confidence, reinforce one’s sense of emotional and sexual desirability, and promote a more rapid and healthy “letting go” of the emotional baggage from the previous relationship.
