De oorlog in één straat is een portret van de Gerrit van der Veenstraat tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Amsterdam aan de hand van vijf persoonlijke verhalen.

Het is een podcast van het Holland Festival i.s.m. het Amsterdams 4 en 5 mei comite. Aanleiding is de opvoering The Disintegration Loops van William Basinski in de Gerrit van der Veenstraat op zondag 18 juni 2023 om 16.00. Het is een onderdeel van het door ANOHNI gecureerde programma.

Interviews en montage: Pieter-Bas van Wiechen. De muziek The Disintegration Loops van William Basinski in de originele versie voor tape. Op 18 juni zal de orkestversie van dit werk te horen zijn, uitgevoerd door het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest.
