Warning: everyone inherit the generational "way of parenting" by default, and then you add your own external influences that comes from modern life, culture and society... Yet, during all this new age parenting, are you fully understanding parents emotional regulation is far more important than if you are right or wrong.

Is simple. If as a parent you are not managing your own emotions, then consequently you'll be managing your child's. Yes, that's a red flag!

That's how unconsciously there will be the expectation for the child to be the projection as the one who needs to satisfy the parent's own inner child's needs, rather than take self-accountability for their own emotional self-regulation. When in fact the child is an independent being that has their own needs and emotions to be met.

Is just sad to see what seems obvious, not always being the manifestation in the family because the parent has for so long disconnected from feeling and self-regulating their own emotions. That's how easily this behavior becomes triggered.

Like Jelly Roll song "My Cross" is all about, as a parent carrying our own cross of all the trauma and self-healing, rather than pass it to our children.
