In the battle of the Death Valleys, No. 9 #lsutigers traveled to South Carolina to take on the No. 4 #clemsontigers . In a battle of the Tigers Heisman hopeful Garrett Nussmeier led LSU to a 17-10 victory over Dabo Sweenys Tigers. Does Brian Kelly finally have a team capable of winning a national championship in the SEC? Is LSU now the favorites to win the SEC? And will Clemsons lack of depth and transfer portal usage be their downfall?

In a rivalry renewed, No. 6 #notredamefightingirish traveled down to South Florida to take on the No. 10 #miamihurricanes . In Carson Becks first game as a Hurricane he started to look like the 2023 version of himself throwing for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns while throwing no interceptions and commiting no turnovers, the Hurricanes held off the 2024 national runner-ups comeback attempt and took the game 27-24 in the first matchup against ND since 2017. On this weeks episode after taking a week off, I dive back into college football and the college football playoff format. This past year was the first iteration of the 12-Team Playoff and was met with mixed feelings towards it. The 12-Team playoff is switching to a straight 12-Seeding model rather than the 4 highest ranked conference champions getting the first round bye. More rumblings are happening with the college football playoff possibly expanding to 16 teams by 2026 and the 2 powerhouse conferences the Big 10 and SEC look to claim the most automatic bids in the coming years of the CFP. Will this ruin the CFP and College Football? Only time will tell.
The NBA has reached its conclusion.....The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Finals. Both teams have never won and NBA Finals so we will be crowning a first time champion this year but with uninteresting superstars in the eyes of many...will the ratings continue to drop as they have over the past few years? On this weeks episode, the 2025 NFL Draft is complete and in the books! Teams across the NFL looked to make another step towards their ultimate goal of winning the Lombardi Trophy. There was plenty of drama that happened on those three nights and nothing more dramatic than Shedeur Sanders, who was projected for a long time to be a 1st round pick, fell all the way to the 5th round and was the 5th Quarterback taken off the board. That's begs the question.....Why? A projected 1st Round Draft Pick falling not only out of the 1st round but falling all the way to the 5th has really never happened before! Was this collusion or did Shedeur and Deion have more to do with it than we thing?

The Steelers, considered one of the favorites to draft Sanders, did not take a QB until the 6th round. Ohio States National Champion QB Will Howard is heading to the Steel City with his teammate defensive end Jack Sawyer. Does this hold off on an early round QB mean Aaron Rodgers is coming to Pittsburgh or are the Steelers confident Will Howard can develop and overtake Mason Rudolph and Skyler Thompson?

Cam Ward....Selected 1st overall by the Titans will be looked at to "save" Tennessee football. But does he have a chance to succeed in Tennessee? Ja Morant has been a headline for all the wrong reasons because of his on and off court antics with firearms and the hand motions of firearms in game. Will Adam Silver let it go or will this continue to hinder Morant further and once again get him fined and suspended by the league? With No Deal done, the Steelers are still here twiddling their thumbs waiting whether or not Aaron Rodgers will sign a deal with Pittsburgh. The ACC is down to three teams...SMU, Miami, and Clemson. Clemson needs help to get to Charlotte but if the Hurricanes and Mustangs win the remaining 2 weeks they will meet to crown the ACC Champion. The Big 12 is a close race with Colorado, BYU, Arizona State, and Iowa State, all still in contention for the top 2 spots in the Big 12. The Big 10 is down to Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, and Penn State. The odds have Oregon and Ohio State meeting for a rematch in the title game but the Buckeyes will be tested this week against Indiana. The biggest dog fight is the SEC with 6 TEAMS who can still make the SEC Title...Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee all still have a chance to make it to the SEC Championship Game.
I also make my 12 Team Playoff Prediction...with the season coming to a close and only a few weeks remaining to decide who will make the CFP I make my prediction of who the 12 Teams will be going at it for the National Championship at the conclusion of the year. On this weeks episode I dive into the most hyped weekend of College Football. Oregon v. Ohio State, USC v. Penn State, Alabama v. South Carolina, Tennessee v. Florida, and the Red River Rivalry Texas and Oklahoma. This week has been circled on a lot of college football fas calendars and it did not disappoint. Penn State won a thriller in Overtime against USC, Texas gave the Sooners the Belt, South Carolina nearly upset Alabama, Florida took Tennessee to the brink in overtime but came up short. and the big game of the week, Oregon wins a thriller against Ohio State 32-31. With all the crazy endings happening in the Big 10 and the SEC the 12 team playoff is going to be madness at the end of the year!
In the NFL, Pittsburgh rebounds against the Raiders 32-13 but even though the performance and score say one thing, the game itself was uneventful regarding Pittsburghs offense. Najee Harris finally had 100 years rushing performance but the rest of the Steelers offense looked inept. Pittsburgh has yet to put together a game where the rushing and passing attacks are in sync. The Dallas Cowboys got boat raced out of their home stadium by the Detroit Lions 47-9. Despite the injury to Aidan Hutchinson, the lions have started to hit their stride and have the most dominant O-Line and rushing attacks in the league led by David Montgomery and Jamyr Gibbs. Jared Goff still leads the charge and Detroit is making their case to be the team to beat in the NFC. All this and more on this weeks episode!

On this weeks episode, I dive into the next recap of the College Football and NFL season. Friday Night....Controversy reared its ugly head in the #8 Miami Hurricanes v. Virginia Tech game. Was the final play a touchdown or was it an incompletion? Called Touchdown on the field was later overturned after video review. A tough call all the way around it went in favor of the Canes...Miami wins 38-34. Alabama and Georgia lived up to the hype in the end, early on Jalen Milroe and the Tide jumped to a 28-0 lead. Georgia clawed back to take a lead late in the 4th but Milroe to freshman sensation Ryan Williams put the Tide back on top and survived the Dawgs 41-34. Kentucky Marched into Ole Miss and upset the #6 ranked Rebels beating Ole Miss at their place for the first time since the 70's. Who is the top of college football after week 5? I give my first "Laykos List" for my top 10 teams after week 5.
In the young NFL season despite the Steelers losing to the Colts 27-24, Justin Fields had arguably his best Game as a pro throwing for over 300 yards 1 TD and rushing for another 2. Have the Steelers turned a corner on offense after years of incompetence? The Eagles fall to the Buccaneers again 33-16 and Jalen Hurts has been playing poorly. Since the departure of Shane Steichen Jalen Hurts leads the NFL in turnovers and Saquon Barkley is the only one providing offense for Philly. Cleveland is in trouble again with another subpar performance by Watson...but is it really all his fault? College football is shaping up to be one for the ages with all the teams that are going to be in the mix for the 12 Team College Football Playoff. After taking Alabama to the brink a few weeks ago, USF looked to shock college football against another top 10 team in the Miami Hurricanes. Trailing 22-15 at half time, the Bulls were in position to make it a game.......which did not happen. Cam Ward and Miami went on to score 28 unanswered points in the second half to route the Bulls 50-15. Cam Ward continues his push for the Heisman trophy after a 400 years performance. Arch Manning in his second career start showed out and led Texas to a 51-3 win over UL Monroe. Texas is stamping themselves as the best team in college football. With Quinn Ewers still recovering from injury, the Texas Offense has not skipped a beat with Manning under center. In the NFL Justin Fields continues his impressive start in Pittsburgh beating the Chargers 20-10 in Pittsburgh. The Dallas Cowboys fail again to stop the run as the Ravens went into Jerry World to get their first win 28-25 putting over 200 yards rushing as a team together. And Caleb Williams is still showing flashes but the offensive line still hinders any progress Caleb is making....through the first 3 weeks of his NFL career, Williams has already been sacked 13 times and is running for his life in the backfield. Signs show exactly what the issue was when Fields was at the helm in Chicago...a terrible Offensive Line. All this and more of this weeks episode.

But the biggest story in the NFL is the issue with Miami Dolphins Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered another concussion on a scramble and collision with Bills safety Demar Hamilin. This being Tuas 4th concussion in as many years even when he was back at Alabama...the question lingers should Tua call it a career? On this week's episode, I dive into the long anticipated contract extensions that were rumored for Quarterbacks Jordan Love (Green Bay) and Tua Tagovailoa (Miami). Both Quarterbacks have been widely praised and equally criticized for their play on the field. Both have their pros and cons as to what an NFL team wants in their franchise quarterback. Jordan Love had a rough first few years and was considered a bust for a time, but from Week 11 onward last season, Jordan Love went on a tear and started to turn some heads with his play as he rallied off 6 wins, 18 Touchdowns to only 1 interception, a perfect passer rating and added a blowout win in the wild card round at Dallas and Had the eventual NFC Champion 49ers on the ropes. Tua has had an up and down career up to this point, and many wonder if he elevates the Dolphins or if the Dolphins elevate Tua. Regardless, both QB's have earned their way to $200 Million Dollar Contracts, and one question still remains....Are they worth it?

On this week's episode, as I predicted on last week's episode, the Phoenix Suns fired Head Coach Frank Vogel after getting swept in the first round. The NBA is run by the players; more specifically the superstars of the league such as: LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Durant. Another instance in where players have the ultimate say and control over player personnel and their coaching staff, and the firing of Frank Vogel illustrates the issue this raises for the NBA as a league because it is always the coaches who are made the fall guys when a season does not live up to expectations. Like Monty Williams for the suns, Frank Vogel for the suns, Mike Budenholzer for the Bucks, and Darvin Ham for the Lakers, they all have a common thread, a superstar that has ultimate say.
Kevin Durant is widely considered one of the best NBA players of all time, but in heinsight is that really the case? In Kevin Durants first 9 seasons, he won only 1 MVP and got the Finals 1 time with the Thunder (Losing to LeBron and the Heat). Jumping ship to join the Warriors and Steph Curry he won 2 Finals Championships and 2 Finals MVPs. He then jumped ship again due to some controversy with Draymond Green and joined the Brooklyn Nets with Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons which was a massive fail, and now a member of the Suns, Kevin Durants legacy is up for debate, in 16 seasons KD has 2 Championships and 2 Finals MVPs and 1 regular seasons MVP. Not a scrub by any means, but now it can be taken into consideration that KD has Steph Curry to thank for his highest accolades in his Career.
EA College Football 25 is set to release this year for the first time in over a decade. Built from the ground up and being reported to be completely different from the flagship franchise Madden, EA College Football looks to bring in a new era of football to gaming consoles. Madden is basically a $70 roster update every year, so as a company, EA needs this to be a success and looking and hearing about everything the game will include, this should be set to be one of the most successful sports games ever released. Will EA completely Revive the NCAA Football Games or will they yet again fall into their scumy business practices and ruin a game millions are hyped for especially after a decade long wait? Only time will tell but all signs point to this game being a wild success.
Recently Tom Brady, widely considered the greatest quarterback of all time, went on Netflix and was roasted by fellow former Patriot Teammates and former Coach Bill Belichick, as well as a variety of comedians who make horrible jokes and make fun of others for a living. The controversy surrounding Brady and Belichick goes deep and despite not seeing eye to eye on who had the biggest impact on the Patriots dynasty, both showed character to have a good night and have a laugh. But who was more responsible for the Dynasty? Bill or Brady?

On this weeks episode, I dive into the recent firing of Las Angeles Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham and the possible firings of other NBA coaches in the future, as well as my way-too-early NFL Division Winner Predictions.

With the Quarterfinals of the NBA Playoffs off to a hot start, teams who were eliminated wasted no time starting to build for the next NBA season. Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham was recently fired from the team, despite going to the Western Conference Finals in 2023, and ultimately losing to Denver in 2024 in the first round, the Lakers felt the need to make a coaching change and will now be searching for their 8th head coach since 2010. The reality is that LeBron has had his thumb on the Lakers organization since he go there and has always had the biggest "say" in player personnel and roster decisions. The NBA as a whole is run by the Star Players and that is a big issue. Coaches are always the ones to take the fall if seasons go sideways. We see the same situation maybe happening in Phoenix with the Suns possible on there verge firing Frank Vogel (Another Great Coach). This is an issue that will most likely not be solved in the near future unfortunately.

With NFL Free Agency in the books and the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft, all 32 teams are pretty much set and ready for the next NFL season to get underway in the next few months. I predict all the division winners we will see based off current roster outlook and standings. All 32 teams have one goal, and that is to win a Lombardi Trophy and call themselves Super Bowl Champions. Who will take the division crowns this year? Which teams will live up to expectations and which teams will underachieve? And what teams will shock the NFL and take the league by storm? Only time will tell over the next few months.

Lakers Avoid Sweep | DLo, Reaves, Rui | 2024 NFL Draft Winners & Losers

On this weeks episode, I take a look at The LA Lakers and the recent issues they have been having and I dive into the aftermath of the 2024 NFL Draft! A lot of teams did well, and others, are still stuck on the hamster wheel of mediocrity.

The Lakers and LeBron James, on the verge of losing to the nuggets in the playoffs for a second straight season, DeAngelo Russel has proved that he is on of the most inconsistent players on the floor with the Lakers. LeBron James and Anthony Davis can only do so much, they need help from Russel, Austin Reaves, or Rui Hachimura. The Lakers big 2 always manage to produce but the other stars shrink in big games.

The Biggest winners in the 2024 NFL Draft include: Chicago, Philly, and Pittsburgh. These three teams more so than any other in the league addressed team needs well and including free agency, these three teams in my opinion are the most improved. Chicago got their Franchise Quarterback Caleb Williams along with Wide Receiver Rome Odunze in the draft to go along with DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and DeAndre Swift. Pittsburgh added more depth to the offensive line and added another wide receiver and linebacker to their core and are ready for a bounce back year with Russel Wilson or Justin Fields, whichever QB is under center, they have a solid offensive line, Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren in the backfield, George Pickens, Calvin Austin, and now Roman Wilson to fill out the wide receivers, Pat Friermuth at TE and a great defense. Philly added more depth to all of their needed positions and after addressing the secondary, they are ready to strive for another Lombardi trophy! The biggest losers include Dallas and Atlanta, as they did not address key position issues they needed solved, more so Dallas than Atlanta, but these two teams in my opinion fell short of the mark!

Caleb Williams is the clear fire 1st overall pick to the Chicago Bears, but will he be able to overcome an organization that has constantly let down their quarterbacks over the past 30 years? Like Trevor Lawrence and Andrew Luck before him, Caleb Williams is considered to be a generational talent at the quarterback position and is considered a can't miss prospect! Other Quarterbacks like JJ McCarthy, Bo Nix, and Michael Penix Jr are also most likely going to be selected in the first round and where is the best fit for each of them and their skill sets? Drake Maye, while talented, in my opinion is overhyped coming out of North Carolina and I feel he will be this years quarterback let down. Out of all the first round quarterbacks selected over the years, its guaranteed that at least one will not make it in the NFL and in my hot take opinion Drake Maye is that guy, but it all depends on where he lands in the draft and what organization he will be a part of.

Having seen it this past weekend, it was nothing short of fantastic. This movie plants the seeds for the franchise to grow even more in future, as there are still plenty of powerful Titans that have not been introduced yet, but will be introduced in the coming years, and without a doubt, will become one of the most successful franchises in cinema history!

The NFL Draft begins later this month and there were many big free agency signings this offseason, and recently a massive trade between the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills ended with the Texans getting a Star Wide Receiver and widely considered one of the best in the league, Stefon Diggs! The Houston Texans led by Quarterback CJ Stroud now have an offense that will compete with any team in the league, Stroud at QB, Joe Mixon at Running Back, a duo of Tight Ends in Dalton Shultz and Brevin Jordan, and rising star receivers Tank Dell and Nico Collins, now adding Stefon Diggs to an already loaded offense, The Texans are primed and ready to compete for the top spot in the AFC!

My faith has grown significantly over the past year, and I have realized many things in my time reflecting on how my life has turned out. With other people asking how I grew my faith, I want to share some aspects about me following Jesus Christ and how I was able to grow in that faith! The Monsterverse has quickly become one of the most popular movie franchises in the world and it has made a splash at the box office at opening weekend with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, raking in over $190 Million on opening weekend, immediately making back its budget and more. Do movie critics judge these movies for the wrong things or is it Justified?
Ever since Spiderman: No Way Home, Marvel has been in a downward spiral, not really having a certain identity, direction, or main villain to focus on. Since Thanos, Marvel has lacked the presence of a strong and persistent villain, it was supposed to be Kang the Conqueror, however the issues with Johnathan Majors has halted Marvels plans for Kang in its path. Should Marvel Recast the role, or should they move on into another villain? One who can make a lasting impact like Thanos did!
Relationships are something we all crave and wish to have in our lives, so I discuss the variety of aspects needed in order to have a strong relationship. And in my personal belief, the best type of relationship comes when both the man and woman have God at the center and Jesus in their Hearts! Having leaning into my faith heavily over the past several months, the truest and purest form of love and happiness comes from God and our Lord and Savior, for the Joy that follows when following Christ is unmatched on every level.

College Football Playoff...FSU Snubbed?

On this weeks episode, we dive into the College Football Playoff Rankings and who will be competing for this years National Championship. The Michigan Wolverines, Washington Huskies, Texas Longhorns, and Alabama Crimson Tide have made the final 4 and will compete to see who is the king of College Football for the 2023-2024 season. Controversy is the name of the game when it comes to who gets selected in the college football playoff, and there is no short of disagreements this year.

Florida State, despite going an undefeated 13-0 and winning the ACC Championship against Louisville, the Seminoles did not make the playoff and they finished ranked 5th, the first one out. Did the committee make the wrong call? Does Florida State deserve to be in this years college football playoff? Or did the committee make the correct choice in deciding the best 4 teams in college football?

As we move into the 12 team playoff system next year, there will be no short of controversy surrounding this decision for years to come. We will dive in deep on why I feel keeping FSU out of the playoff was the correct decision, and we will talk about NIL, and the Transfer Portal and why it is both good and bad for the entire sport of College Football.

On this weeks episode, I dive into the latest injuries that have occurred in the NFL and the issues going on in college football, specifically, the NCAA, as well as discuss a list I came across listing the best college football players at their respected positions during the BCS era. DeShaun Watson and Joe Burrow over the past two weeks have suffered season ending injuries, effectively kneecapping the chances of a playoff birth or make a possible Super Bowl run for both franchises. In college football, Jim Harbaugh has been suspended for the remainder of the season for the cheating scandal. But the bigger issue revolves around James Madison University. The NCAA has denied their wavier to play in the post season bowl games. How many more times is the NCAA going to prove their incompetence? Is it right Jim Harbaugh was suspended the rest of the year? And what is next for the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals after their franchise quarterbacks are lost for the remainder of the year.

On this week's episode I welcome Pastor Dan Osborn from Old North Church in Canfield Ohio. The past year has been an eye opener for me. My viewers know that I struggled with deep depression and anxiety for a five year period and everyone knows I was nearly over the hump but I felt something was missing. That thing was a renewed faith in Jesus Christ. Since Going to Old North my life direction has completely changed, and while I am an imperfect Christian, I still strive on a day to day basis to be better than I was and to continue to grow a strong relationship with God and Jesus Christ.

Pastor Osborn has been someone I have been looking up to during services as well as all of the other pastors and preachers at Old North. Listening to them has made me focus deeply on what it truly means to have a relationship with Jesus. Pastor Osborn goes into detail on how he became a Christian and why he has devoted his life to serve the Lord, and he goes on to answer many great and deep questions about Christianity and about life as a whole. Anyone who may be struggling with their faith, you're in for a great episode that will truly make you think deeply about your faith and relationship with God. I highly recommend coming to Old North for a service on Sunday mornings at 9:15 to see that God is alive and he is with us!
