This ep i share an original allegory/short story about seeking the truth in a thought-controlled society, and tease an upcoming segment examining the psychological toll of living in a digital panopticon.

Queridos pajaritos del playa y serpientes de sabrosos,

I'm back in the saddle after a lengthy and rejuvenating hiatus in lindissimo y poderoso Mexico. This ep is a hodge podge affair, just shaking off the rust and hopefully inspiring some provocative thoughts and energizing mental momentum. Featured in this episode are some words from legendary Lakota medicine man Lame Deer, some history and observations regarding the resplendent, distinctive and admirably adaptable Mazatec tribe of N. Oaxaca, and a brief bio of an under-appreciated Afro-Mestizo hero of early Mexican independence and abolition, Vicente Ramon Guerrero.

I'll have much more to say about my time in Mexico, but I am still integrating the experience and these things require the massaging currents of time.

i was driving on the highway on the way to tamale night when a large rock out of nowhere smashed thru my windshield, shattered the glass, and impacted the passenger side seat, which was thankfully empty. it was so amazingly sudden and loud omg. this felt like a message from Spirit for me to remember always how precious and delicate Life is. Obviously I'm so very thankful nobody was hurt and I'm okay, no glass wounds or anything, I feel very lucky honestly. a close call. so, i just felt compelled to jump on the mic and put some words out about never taking any moment for granted during this sacred gift of Life, as hard and stressful and unfair and frustrating and crazy-making as it is. We always have reasons to keep doing our best and being our best for the people around us, and especially to the people who are good to us and just with us. little acts of kindness and generosity go a long way. if you struggle with feelings of hopelessness sometimes, you are not alone. Make a habit of writing a list of things - anything - you're thankful for at the end of each day. these are the sacred jewels of meaning that propel us out of bed each morning, and which launch us into the day with zest, presence, purpose and readiness: to be, to enjoy, to experience, to see, to feel, to taste, to touch and to love, and importantly, to allow ourselves to be loved in turn.

What's up love doves! This chat features friend of the show and inimitable renaissance woman Munira Mona Morsy. Mona is a writer, poet, artist, and fight coach. It's my humble opinion that good things emerge when we embrace a vibrant biodiversity of thoughts and ideas. Something I've learned: you don't have to *agree* in order to be a good Listener. A formative experience I had engaging with the mystic fungal kingdom occurred in Northern California, along the coast a couple hours north of San Francisco. Nestled in a cozy rock cove, I sat with my toes curled in the sand, skin bathing in the silken memory-foam light of a waxing moon, observing the perpetual foamy snake dance of Mama Pacific. I saw glowing hieroglyphics embossed within the sea foam as they shimmered betwixt the sand: ceaseless, graceful, eloquent and free. The way a bird allows the breeze to influence the vectors of its flight, so too were the scintillating messages of the ocean finessed by the raw inexorable power of the gripping crashing waves. I grabbed a piece of driftwood and wrote a single word, etched on the beach for a few brief instances before another swell once again combed its grainy canvas blank: Renewal.

Nature is Renewal. We are always born again. Every time the Sun rises, we are a new being. We are living breathing Light machines designed for reimagination, reinvigoration, regeneration and a continuous organic poetry of dancing revival. Nothing can stop us! Even "death" is just a passing on to the next realm, which I'm pretty sure (I'm certain tbh) is effing lit.🔥~ Gracias a Dia! ~

Just before publishing I saw the news that Julian Assange has been released on bail. Jaw-dropping news I wasn't sure I'd ever see. Bless you Julian!! Keep that security detail tight. Godspeed. I'll have more on this soon but in short: a great day for Julian and his family, but a not-so-great day for whistleblowers & free speech. His plea deal legitimizes the B.S. charges against him, and thus true press freedom remains on life support. Don't conflate investigative journalism with espionage! 

On to today's Energy Audio Tidbit: I felt inspired to jump on the mic and articulate the importance of remaining grounded in optimism even while fearlessly facing the hard facts we see in our feeds. It's about wanting more, and believing in more, not dwelling solely upon negativity, nor caving in to drama, cynicism, or lazy thinking.

This EAT is about transcending the outrage treadmill and working productively to raise the collective consciousness, and to inspire hope in the possibility of a world we can be proud of.  Let's move past the tired old in-group/out-group dichotomy (backbone of the totalitarian duopoly), and see through the quadrennial dog and pony circus we are once again being forced to endure. Don't allow your intellect to be so freely insulted by the ruling class and their legion of behavior managing PR ghouls.

What is money? How about currency? What facilitates exchange? What makes a market? How do we store value over time? These are but a few of the philosophical inquiries friend of the show Jonathan Glowacki and I dive into in this far-ranging and free-flowing Saunacast conversation.

Bitcoin is digital money, but it's not a Central Bank-backed Digital Currency (CBDC). It's backed by energy, but does it really use too much power?

Are green frog skin dollar bills backed by rainbows and sunshine? Nope: they're backed by blood. Would you rather use a soft (freely printed) inflationary money backed by the war machine or a hard (scarce + immutable) money backed by a software protocol and energy?

What's up you elevated egrets and activated asps! I'm back from a couple weeks of travel and feeling blessed, rejuvenated, re-calibrated  and primed for creative renewal.

This episode I riff about how allegiance to 'isms' has a tendency to create schisms in the human psyche, as well as rupture the integrity of any given collective will. Divide and conquer baby, that's always been the strategy of rulers. Rigid and inflexible adherence to modes of thought often betrays an emotional attachment to an idea, and that can get dicey quick, as ideas must be able to bend when the winds of change come, as they inevitably do. The ideal dance is an adaptive collaboration between individual beliefs, shared desires and cooperative, productive action. Papering over issues to avoid cognitive dissonance is a recipe for fragility.

Also touched upon is the notion of safe space. It seems like everybody's constantly talking about ensuring that spaces are safe. The question is: safe for whom? And towards what end? Who is defining what 'safe' is? Does safety necessitate total emotional coziness? Who gets to enjoy this coziness and who does not? And what to do when safe emotional and verbal spaces come at the expense of real, physical safety of an invisibilized group? Rarely do the marginalized members of our society get to dictate parameters for perceived safety. Also: do safe spaces actually exist in nature?

Welcome to another riveting edition of Sunday Night Rants w/ Little Raven. Tonight's topic is: what the hell does the U.S. "left" actually stand for anymore? The behavior managers have done a bang up job splintering the body politic along interminably convoluted wedge issue and culture war lines. This free association solo stream aims to parse the useful principles from the counter-productive squabbles, as well as shine a light on the increasingly glaring contradictions and hypocrisies that plague the so-called "left" wing of the empire baby American body politic. 

Realized after I uploaded this: I didn't even touch on free speech (though I addressed this issue at some length in the previous ep). Freedom of speech guarantees a free market of ideas, and if you start banning some speech, it's not long before YOUR speech gets targeted. It's also silly that too many lefties don't appreciate the 2nd Amendment. We have so few rights left... use 'em or lose 'em!

A conservative is someone who opposes a small number of wars only when the Democrats hold office, and increasingly, someone who reflexively blames either immigrants or George Soros for all the world's problems.

Malcolm X, before he was assassinated by the state, warned us of the pitfalls that would accompany a completely controlled and totalitarian mainstream media. Then the Clinton cartel came and de-regulated the industry,  helping to usher X's warnings into reality. Now here we are in 2024, and the duopolistic legacy media lies naked before us, entirely controlled and severely totalitarian. Watching a mainstream "news" program is subjecting oneself to programming, as the viewer is indoctrinated with the straight State dope: neurolinguistic memes which when consumed uncritically become internalized and embedded deep in the subconscious mind.   

Meanwhile: various organs of said state are cutting fat checks to a bunch of highly trained and intelligent people, who get paid to innovate new and ever more efficacious techniques of managing your (and our) behavior. The A.I. machine learning bots & quantum supercomputers are also on the case. All to control the parameters of allowable thought and acceptable discourse. Apparently, freedom of thought, speech and assembly (spontaneity of Mind) is seriously threatening to the powers that be. Why? We all need to be interrogating this question: Why is the free market of ideas suddenly such a dire threat to the established order?

Just a quick & uplifting Energy Audio Tidbit on a sleepy Monday evening here in Sonoran Mesoamerica.

This EAT was inspired by a recent livestream and constellates around the concept of optimism. Upon reflection, optimism reveals itself to be largely a self-generated (or more precisely, body-mind-generated) state of being. Once optimism is generated within the self, via the frequency super conductors of our chakra system, it can be radiated outwards and shared with others. This sharing of optimistic vibes thusly creates a collective consciousness of optimism, and that's a good thing, because optimism is a productive form of positive confidence.

We are all co-creators in this unfolding dream of Life.

This episode was initially inspired by my friend and brother Brandon, a Palestinian-American who was featured on a recent BNP forum discussion re: Palestine. He offered me some clarifying words illuminating the greater context of Z*onism, particularly in this moment of history, and he gave me permission to share with you all.

While I was working on this ep, the news broke of Aaron Bushnell, a 25 year old active service member of the U.S. Air Force, who made the ultimate sacrifice and self-immolated his own body as an act of courage and defiance against the ongoing gen*cide in G*za.  Bushnell's visceral and painful sacrifice, his singular and ultimate act of protest, was a wake-up call for me, and I feel it may be a wake-up call to so many of us around the world who have been battling against the despair and hopelessness of institutional mass slaughter and injustice.

The gears of imperialism may be mighty, but they can be ground to a halt. Aaron Bushnell made sure none of us would ever forget that critical fact, and he is forever immortalized in the hearts of freedom fighters worldwide.
