I don’t know their situation, and I’m not trying to speak for them. But I do know the feeling that moment can carry.</p><p>Nobody wants to be in that position.</p><p>What stood out to me most is something I’ve noticed before: the parent dropping off often sits there a little longer before pulling away. I’ve been there. And when that moment happens, the feeling isn’t freedom.</p><p>It’s not, “Now I get to go do whatever I want.”</p><p>It’s, “What am I supposed to do now?”</p><p>People assume that when you’re alone and your child isn’t with you, it means you get a break. But the truth is, sometimes that time becomes the space where you’re forced to collect yourself, cope, and keep going until the next time you get to see them.</p><p>This one is short, raw, and a little circular.
