Today we dive into the journey of AgroData and some of the tiniest farmers in the world! AgroData deploys a bee-centred cropping model using honey bees as pollinators for fruits and vegetable farming. They enlist smallholder crop farmers into a Community Bee AgriFood Network (CoBAN) and installs beehives (for free) on their farmlands in a partnership deal. AgroData provides an efficient alternative farming system, which combats low yield in smallholder croplands, reduces the dependence on inorganic fertilizers, improve farm productivity and rural livelihood.
