The hope for Brown Paper Blessings is to provide a bag filled with blessings.  Both physical and spiritual nourishment for those in our communities.  

Physically we will include a FREE meal for those in need (no age restrictions).  Each bag will contain a full, healthy meal and drink.  Spiritually we will supply Truth from God’s Word and upcoming opportunities to get to know and grow with Jesus in our own communities.

Peace and Quiet. Awww…the dynamic duo every Mom dreams of! As I write these words, my three wildly creative kiddos are building a fort together. Most days, this attempt creates more chaos than concord, but today, I’m experiencing a simple glimpse of peace. And an ever so rare quiet consisting of whispers and giggles as teamwork commences.

Friends, there are days where peace seems like the farthest thing from my grasp. And the boisterously loud echo of everything except quiet is reverberating.

Are you in a pursuit of peace? Or searching for quiet? And I’m not talking about a few desirable minutes (which don’t get me wrong, those are crucial, too!) But, no, I mean a peace that brings more than just a quiet home. A peace that instills a quiet and hopeful heart.

Baptism is an outward proclamation of an inward promise to make Jesus Christ your Lord AND Savior.


My pastor shared something in church that impacted me,
“Many people want a Savior but not a Lord.”

Growing up, I knew my need for a SAVIOR.  Knowing the consequences of sin was death really freaked me out!  I remember having that conversation with my Dad in my bedroom when I was quite young. I made the decision that night to ask Jesus in my heart, to save me from my sin.  In that moment, He became my SAVIOR.

And then following, the next step, I got baptized...

"We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Romans 6:4

]]> Back in August 2021 I was baptized - again by wonderful husband and alongside a close friend.  (Read Blog Here)

Baptism is an outward proclamation of an inward promise to make Jesus Christ your Lord AND Savior.


My pastor shared something in church that impacted me,
“Many people want a Savior but not a Lord.”

Growing up, I knew my need for a SAVIOR.  Knowing the consequences of sin was death really freaked me out!  I remember having that conversation with my Dad in my bedroom when I was quite young. I made the decision that night to ask Jesus in my heart, to save me from my sin.  In that moment, He became my SAVIOR.

And then following, the next step, I got baptized...

"We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Romans 6:4
