She shares ten client stories from her early years, including the time she walked into a termination expecting a joyful gender reveal, the birth she attended too soon after her dad’s death by suicide, navigating clients who repeatedly tested her boundaries, witnessing blatant medical racism and obstetric violence, missing the signs of active substance use in a vulnerable family, and the moment she realized her queerness and politics could never be separated from her work.
