Making a house YOUR home (S2 E11)

Have you ever felt yourself holding back from making your house your HOME???

I was definitely in that spot for awhile, but I’ve been breaking free lately and it has been THRILLING!

I never thought about how much having my own home is like having a grown up dollhouse, except in real life!

In this episode I talk a bit about my journey to homeownership, how I knew this was the right house for me, struggles I experienced making decisions, and how I’ve been stepping into making this house look and feel like mine, one piece of “pet art” at a time.

I'm friends with you, not your partner (S1 E6)

This might be a bit controversial, but I know I’m not alone in this: I don’t believe that people should be forced to be friends with their friends’ partners.

Is it nice when additional friendship works out? Yes!

I have several friends whom I have lovely friendships with their partners in addition to them and it’s fantastic! But it’s not a prerequisite for me being friends with you.

I also share three ways to approach having fun as an adult that can ease the stress when you find out parking costs $45 for the concert you want to attend. Just me? LOL!

My name is Keela Fowler and I'm the founder and CEO of a makeup education company called eightyfive beauty.

I'm a Black woman in my late thirties just trying to figure out this grown up live. Let’s go out there and live our lives in such a way that it would make the little kids in us proud!
