Studies are showing what you are likely seeing with your own eyes—women, particularly younger women, are “radicalizing” in their worldview. In other words, moving away from a biblical worldview.

Who was prominent on the front lines against ICE as they arrested illegal immigrants in Minnesota? Women. Who was standing outside the courthouse cheering on Lindsay Clancy during the trial for murdering her three children? Women.

Of course these examples are anecdotal. But the data is not. A social media post showed the graph of a Gallup poll plotting the political ideology of young men and young women. The headline states: “Women have moved radically leftward, at a scale and speed with no modern precedent, while men have, on the whole, remained largely steady and unchanged. The partisan gap between young men and women almost doubled in the past 25 years.”

The radicalization of young women is not simply taking place in politics; it’s moving professing Christian women in evangelical churches to take moral positions at odds with Scripture.

In his recent column titled, “We Need to Talk about the Radicalization of Young Women,” David Mitzenmacher, chairman of Founders Ministries and pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral Florida, writes: “Young Christian women are consistently more supportive of abortion, same-sex marriage, and broader LGBTQ+ acceptance than their male peers.”

What is driving this leftward shift? What can women do to fortify themselves against the internal and external pressures to conform to the world? What should pastors, parents, and husbands be doing?

David Mitzenmacher joins us this weekend to discuss this troubling development that seeks to destroy God’s wise and wonderful design for women.

GUEST: PASTOR JOE RIGNEY, author, Leadership and The Sin of Empathy

Have you ever wondered why so many feminists support biological boys who identify as girls being able to compete against and defeat biological girls in girls’ sporting events?

Or why is nary a peep uttered by those on the left against Somali Muslim immigrants in Minnesota who defrauded taxpayers of over $9 billion? But in the next second these same people are out on the streets screaming and interfering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who are tasked with finding and deporting illegal immigrants, many of whom having committed additional crimes while here?

The animating motivation behind these scenarios and countless more is a misguided form of empathy.

Empathy means “the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.” It has some crossover with sympathy and compassion, which are biblical qualities. God is compassionate. Christ understands and sympathizes with our weaknesses and sufferings and believers are to be like Him.

Hebrews 4:15 confirms this: “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.”

Colossians 3:12-13 extols that we show compassion: “as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”

So while sympathy and compassion are biblical virtues, there is a corrupted form of empathy today which serves as a sacred virtue of the left that is blind to moral truth and negative consequences because the object of their empathy holds an idolized status of being oppressed.

So going back to the aforementioned examples, girls missing opportunities in sports or getting injured or defeated by biological boys is ignored for the greater good of helping the purportedly oppressed “trans community” feel accepted.

It’s more important to be welcoming to our Somali Muslim neighbors than to worry about billions in taxpayer fraud. And the illegal immigrants in the shadows among us need protection, never mind that they broke the law to enter and many have committed serious crimes, all the while taking advantage of our taxpayer funded social services like welfare, education, and health care.

Our guest this weekend, Joe Rigney, author of Leadership and The Sin of Empathy and associate pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, will explain how untethered empathy goes far beyond the biblical call for compassion and instead is used to manipulate people into supporting leftist power and policies. Because how cold, bigoted, hateful, racist, and homophobic must you be to not share in their so-called empathy?

When you begin to see this emotional blackmail taking place in our society and the church, you will see how important it is for Christians and pastors to speak clearly and boldly with truth and grace.

GUEST: MISSY ROEPNACK, Christian Writer and Teacher

On January 24, 2023, Lindsay Clancy, a former labor-and-delivery nurse in Massachusetts, sent her husband out for some errands, and while he was away, took their three children—Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months)—into the basement and one by one strangled them to death.

Fast forward to this year and the recent murder trial for Lindsay Clancy. Women in pink shirts amassed outside the courthouse day after day, not to demand justice for Clancy’s three children, but to cheer her on and urge acquital.

But why? The surface reason is that Lindsay was suffering from mental illness where she was not able to understand what she was doing. Postpartum depression and possibly antidepressants caused a “psychotic break” to occur. Thus, the “I am Lindsay” supporters outside the courthouse and around the country emphasized that this poor woman was a victim who should be acquitted rather than be found culpable for murder.The jury deliberated and finally submitted their verdict: Eleven of twelve voted to acquit Lindsay Clancy of murder while just one held firm that she should be held accountable. Because of a non-unanimous verdict, the case ended in a mistrial.

So what does the Lindsay Clancy case say about our justice system and the worldview of our society? How is the “second victim” narrative employed for women who murder their children or abort their unborn babies?

Missy Roepnack is the mother of nine children and has spent years doing sidewalk counseling at abortion clinics. Missy recently wrote a series of articles on the Lindsay Clancy case, one of which appears in the Sept-Oct 2026 issue of The Christian Worldview Journal. She joins us to discuss the worldview at play in this case that has drawn national attention.

It was a beautiful fall evening at Stone House Farm in Jordan, MN for our recent Speaker Series event featuring Travis Allen, pastor of Grace Church in Greeley, CO and former Managing Director of Grace to You and member of the U.S. Navy Seal teams.

135 attendees gathered at the farm for a time of fellowship and dinner on the lawn beside the stone farmhouse, followed by dessert and coffee. Then, as the sun made its downward arc over the rural landscape, we all gathered outside the North Barn for an interview with Travis about current events and issues of the faith. It was a blessed time.

GUEST: CAL BEISNER, author, Social Justice vs. Biblical Justice

Socialism has become mainstream in America. Political candidates representing the Democratic Socialists of America Party are winning elections across the country. Their website says this:

“Imagine taking a day off from work in a future without capitalism. You don’t really have bills anymore. You have no debt. You don’t need health insurance. You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right. Your retirement is publicly funded. Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities.

If we lived in a classless society and governed ourselves, we could freely build a world without war or poverty. Building this world is the guiding star of our movement. When we labor for our common good instead of private profit, we can all have a secure and dignified life, and use our time and talents how we wish.”

We, we, we. Just like the rebels of Babel in Genesis 11, building their city and tower in opposition to God.

GUEST: TRAVIS ALLEN, pastor, Grace Church (Greeley, CO)

In our country today there is no shortage of violent acts that shock the senses. We did a recent program on the man who falsely believed he was a women who opened fire at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, killing two young children.

On the heels of that was a young Ukrainian immigrant minding her own business on a train in North Carolina only to have the man sitting behind, 14 times previously arrested, suddenly stand up and stab her to death. The video shakes one to the core.

And then on Wednesday of this week, Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, a conservative organization on high school and college campuses, and perhaps the most influential conservative leader in the country other than President Trump, was assassinated by a sniper as he spoke at an event at Utah Valley University. Charlie Kirk was married and the father of two young children. He was just 31 years old.

Kirk was known for his sharp intellect, determination, leadership, and articulate, persuasive and bold debate style. At his events on college campuses, he would answer questions from everyone, even those vehemently opposed to his views.

Charlie Kirk was also known for being a forthright Christian who boldly proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The killing of Kirk has been a collective gut punch to those on the right. But to some on the left, his death has been disturbingly celebrated.

This reveals not just a divide in our country but a dark and wicked deception that has hardened the hearts of too many. In a country with freedom of religion and speech in our Constitution, no one should be assassinated for viewpoints. But to the modern left, to disagree with them is to be a danger in need of silencing.

Charlie Kirk has been silenced from speaking in this life but he has no doubt inspired a generation to stand up for their Christian and conservative beliefs.

Travis Allen, pastor of Grace Church in Greeley, CO, joins us to discuss the several aspects of the murder of Charlie Kirk.

G3 began as a theology conference in 2013 at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church near Atlanta. Pastor Josh Buice of the same church was the founder. Year by year, the conference grew into one of the largest and most influential annual events, with thousands attending and some of the most prominent leaders speaking, such as John MacArthur, Voddie Baucham, Steve Lawson, Paul Washer, Ken Ham, Joel Beeke, HB Charles, Tom Ascol, James White, and more.

G3 developed beyond a national conference into a ministry organization, with regional conferences, G3 Press publishing arm, G3 Plus subscription platform for written, audio, and video content, G3 Church Network of nearly 200 churches, and much more. In short, G3 was one of the most prominent theologically conservative organizations.

But then sin happened.

In 2025, it was discovered that founder and pastor Josh Buice was using anonymous social media accounts to criticize fellow believers, some of whom were speakers at his conference. Buice resigned and vice president and pastor Scott Aniol took over.

Just recently, it was revealed that Aniol and three other leaders from G3, who also serve as elders at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church, had sent anonymous dossiers to the elders at First Baptist Church in Lindale, TX, accusing their pastor, Tom Buck, a former G3 board member and contributor, of plagiarism in his sermons. Weeks later similar anonymous dossiers were sent to ministry leaders around the country.

While there were about 45 instances of Buck using unattributed material from commentaries in his sermons, the elders of his church and other ministry leaders who investigated the charges concluded that it was a lesser degree of plagiarism requiring correction rather than disqualification.

But then there was the issue of who was trying to ruin pastor Tom Buck? It soon was revealed that none other than top leadership at G3, which stood for “Gospel, Grace, and Glory” had transgressed in a most inglorious way, with anonymous accusations and even mail fraud. A confession was released and soon the entire organization of G3 dissolved.

Joining us this weekend to discuss the fall of G3 is David Morrill of Protestia, a “polemical Christian news and discernment outlet dedicated to reporting, analysis, and theological critique.” David and Protestia received one of the anonymous dossiers, did an investigation, and made public that it was G3 leadership behind it.

We will discuss several aspects of this incident, including plagiarism. Why? Not in self-righteousness or a spirit of condemnation but rather to fearfully reflect and learn, knowing our own potential for sin. For Scripture says, “let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

GUEST: CARL TRUEMAN, author, The Desecration of Man

If you’re a Christian, you likely find yourself gobsmacked (“utterly astonished”) at the craziness (you see all around you in society, such as:

• How abortion, the killing of unborn babies, is celebrated
• How living together before marriage is promoted as necessary to ascertain compatibility
• How boys can purportedly become girls and vice versa and how hospitals and doctors are more than willing to remove private parts to “transition”
• How two men can “marry” and then choose a woman out of a catalog to be artificially inseminated by one of them to carry their baby
• How the proposed solution to crime is “defunding the police” and reducing consequences for criminals
• How those who illegally enter the country should be able to vote and receive taxpayer benefits

The worldview on these issues and many more may seem like lunacy to the Christian, but to the non-Christian or to the liberal professing Christian, they seem perfectly reasonable, even worthy of celebration.

Fundamentally, the divide we see and feel in our society is between one side that believes in God and adheres to the framework He established versus another side that rejects the biblical worldview and promotes what is right in their own eyes.

Frankly, this shouldn’t surprise us, as it’s been the story of mankind from the very beginning. What God establishes, man rejects and rebels. Satan falsely promised Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would lead to wisdom and liberation but the opposite occurred—shame, enslavement, and ultimately death.

Our guest this weekend is Carl Trueman. He is a professor of biblical and theological studies at Grove City College and the author of the book, The Desecration of Man: How the Rejection of God Degrades our Humanity, which is our new featured resource. We hope the discussion helps you better discern what is at work in our society and how the only answer is to repent, believe, and follow God’s gospel and will.

GUEST: FRANK TUREK, mentor to Charlie Kirk and author of The War on Reality—Recovering Truth in a World that Celebrates Lies

It was almost one year ago—Wednesday, September 10, 2025—that Christian and conservative leader Charlie Kirk, just 31-years-old, walked into an outdoor amphitheater at Utah Valley University to hold a question-and-answer event with thousands of college students.

The crowd was buzzing with anticipation. Charlie would be taking any and all questions, typically inviting those who disagreed to come to the front of the line as he advocated for the biblical worldview and conservative values. Countless videos show him doing this all over the country—conversing and debating the prominent issues of our day: abortion, gender, marriage, sexuality, economics, and politics. Charlie was one of the most well-known and influential conservative in the world.

Just minutes into the event, a shot rang out from a rooftop sniper position, fatally striking Charlie in the neck. Mayhem ensued as he was pulled into a nearby vehicle and rushed to the hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Charlie Kirk died—assassinated by Tyler Robinson, a leftist who hated Charlie’s worldview.

Standing within 25 feet of Charlie when he was shot was well-known Christian apologist Frank Turek. Frank was one of Charlie’s mentors and had helped him learn how to give reasonable, biblical answers to the questions he fielded.

Frank Turek joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to share about that tragic day, why Charlie’s murder is a prime example of the “war on reality” gripping our country, and how Christians must “sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence” (1 Peter 3:15-16).

GUEST: STEVE DEACE, host of the “Steve Deace Show” and a columnist for Blaze Media

From the very beginning, the souls of men have been the target of a mostly unseen spiritual war. On one side stands the fallen angel Satan and the legions of demons who followed him in rebellion against God. On the other stands the perfectly holy and good God and His holy angels.

The first glimpse of this war appears in the Garden of Eden. There Satan, appearing as a beautiful serpent, tempted Adam and Eve to reject God. He lied, telling them that eating from the forbidden tree would not lead to death but would make them like God, “knowing good and evil.”

The primary descriptor of Satan is that he is a liar. He relentlessly and maliciously twists the truth to lead men and women astray—and ultimately to destroy them. If he can persuade someone to believe a lie—any lie—that results in their deception and death before they repent and come to saving faith in Christ, that is a victory for him.

Whether the unsaved realize it or not, Satan often works through people—including nice-sounding, well-dressed, educated individuals in prominent positions—to twist the truth and lead others astray. For Christians, the ability to discern between what is true and what is false is critical. Jesus warned that as we near the end times, this discernment will only become more difficult:

“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24).

A recent period that dramatically illustrated the need for discernment was the COVID pandemic of 2020–2022.

In rapid succession, masking was urged and then mandated for everyone, including children. Later in 2020, a vaccine was released under Emergency Use Authorization as part of “Operation Warp Speed.” Young and old, including pregnant women, were expected—often through intimidation or shame—to receive an injection with no long-term history and very limited testing.

For two years the country took on authoritarian characteristics. Families were barred from visiting loved ones in hospitals and care facilities. Schools, businesses, and churches were ordered closed. Citizens and members of the military lost their jobs for refusing the vaccine. Many reported that loved ones died or were injured after receiving it.

It was a dark time in America—not only because of the deaths of those vulnerable to the virus, but because large portions of the population accepted and promoted falsehoods. The six-foot social-distancing guideline proved to be arbitrary. Masks were not effective at stopping transmission or contraction of the virus. And the vaccine, along with its many boosters, did not prevent people from getting COVID or spreading it to others.

As the virus moved through the population, one reality became clear: the vast majority of people were not dying from it.

A relatively small minority recognized the fallacies advanced by government officials, political leaders, health authorities, the media, major institutions, and even many Christian organizations, prominent leaders, and churches. They pushed back against the deception.

One of those voices was Steve Deace, a radio host for Blaze Media and best-selling co-author of Faucian Bargain: The Most Powerful and Dangerous Bureaucrat in American History. He joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to revisit the COVID era and discuss why Christians must become far more discerning. He will also address the Charlie Kirk trial and the conspiracy theories surrounding Kirk’s assassination as yet another example of why believers need to exercise sharper critical thinking.

It’s been said that the most important thing about a person is what they think when they think about God.

In other words, the more accurate our understanding of who God is—and the more willing we are to obey Him—the more we will think and live as God intends, for His glory and our good.

Creation is God’s general revelation to all people. Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been cle1arly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”

Simply by looking at the world and the universe around us, every person everywhere knows that a magnificent, powerful, supernatural God exists. No one has an excuse for unbelief—He is clearly seen through creation. An atheist or agnostic is simply suppressing the truth because of a desire for unrighteousness.

But general revelation through creation does not reveal the infinitely rich tapestry of God’s nature and ways. It does not show us how sinners can be restored to a right relationship with Him. For that we need special revelation—the Word of God, which He supernaturally inspired men to write.

Every page of the Bible reveals who God is: His stated will, His interaction with mankind, and His holiness and justice perfectly balanced with His compassion and mercy.

One of the most instructive ways God reveals Himself in His Word is through His many names—about twenty or more. Some He established for Himself; others He inspired men to ascribe to Him. Names such as Yahweh, Elohim, and Adonai, along with compound forms like El Shaddai, Yahweh Shalom, and Yahweh Jireh, sharpen the believer’s understanding of who God is and how He works.

There is much going on in our country and in the world right now. But what could be more important than focusing on the One who created it all and who is in control of it all—the self-existent, eternal, triune Yahweh Elohim?

Our guest today is Matt Morrell, pastor of Fourth Baptist Church and president of Central Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota. He has been preaching a summer sermon series on the names of God and how Christians can anchor their faith and hope in Him.

Jesus commanded His followers to be “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” While this familiar phrase is often reduced to simply being kind or positive, Jesus intended something far more consequential.

In Matthew 5, immediately after describing the character of true believers in the Beatitudes—and warning that they would face persecution, insults, and false accusations—Jesus called them to live in a way that would be clearly noticed by the world.

Salt preserves what would otherwise decay, while light exposes darkness and shows the way. Likewise, Christians are called to preserve what is good and godly and to proclaim the light of the gospel and biblical truth. But when believers compromise and become indistinguishable from the world, their influence is weakened.

As America grows increasingly dark spiritually and morally through false religion, destructive political ideologies, and rebellion against God’s design, the need for faithful Christians has never been greater. Hope is not lost, for God remains sovereign—but believers must be clear-eyed, courageous, and intentional about honoring Christ through their words, conduct, and convictions.

This week’s program examines what Jesus truly meant when He called Christians to be salt and light—and how believers can faithfully fulfill that calling in an increasingly hostile world. GUEST: Todd Hampson, author, Non-Prophets Guide Series

When countries in Scripture listed as key actors in end times passages, such as Israel, Iran, and Turkey, appear at the top of world news, Christians should be paying attention.

The U.S. and Israel are in an intractable war with Iran. Turkey has signed a military cooperation agreement and are planning military exercises with Egypt. President Trump recently met with and spoke favorably of Turkish president and strongman Recep Erdogan and is considering selling U.S. F-35 fighter jets to the country.

And the super-sign of the end times—the state of Israel—continues to be at the forefront of the news and the focal point of hatred in the world.

Our guest, Todd Hampson, author and host of the Prophecy Pros Podcast, calls this “stage setting.” In other words, the rapture of the church, the invasion by Gog and Magog into Israel, the peace treaty with Israel by the Antichrist, and the rest of the events the Bible predicts for the end of the end times, have not occurred yet but the stage is being set.

Last week in Part 1, Todd explained the three main views of biblical prophecy (premillennialism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism) and how he believes the premillennial view is most consistent using a literal, grammatical, historical reading of Scripture. He also discussed some of the other key aspects of the end times, like the rapture, the seven-year Tribulation, and ultimately the return and reign of Christ.

GUEST: Todd Hampson, author, Non-Prophets Guide Series

Consider this: Nearly 30% of the Bible deals with prophetic or future events. A majority of the prophecies in Scripture have already come to pass but there is plenty of prophecy that is yet to be fulfilled.

Fulfilled prophecy is one of the greatest evidences that God is trustworthy and His Word is true.

Consider Old Testament prophecies about the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ—that He would be born of a virgin, in Bethlehem, make an escape to Egypt, be rejected by His own people, betrayed by a friend, crucified with sinners, no bones broken, have His side pierced, and rise from the dead, to name just a few that have were precisely fulfilled.

Realizing this should strengthen the believer’s faith in the sovereign God who controls the past, present, and future according to His perfect plan.

And yet with the high number and perfect accuracy of fulfilled prophecies, it is odd that many churches tend to avoid the subject. It is said that addressing prophecy is complicated and not concrete, that there are many different interpretations, that prophecy is a secondary and potentially divisive issue, or that people have more relevant needs in the here and now.

God intentionally filled His Word with prophecy so that believers would know what is coming, yes, but even more, so that we would praise and worship God for His power and plan. While God’s Word doesn’t include every detail we may want about the future, it reveals plenty for the one who diligently studies the Bible and learns under a preacher who “accurately handles the word of truth.”

We are living in a time when some of the yet-to-be-fulfilled prophecies are taking shape. The nation of Israel, after being scattered from their promised homeland for nearly 2000 years, is now living there again. That in itself is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy (Isaiah 11:11; Ezekiel 11:17).

But there is more to come—a seven-year period of world tribulation, the rise of a world leader called the Antichrist, the rapture of church-age believers, and the return of Jesus Christ to judge and reign on earth for 1000 years.

Now, some believers would dispute this “pre-millennial” view of biblical prophecy. They don’t see ethnic Israel as significant in the future. They don’t see a 1000-year literal reign of Christ on earth but rather a spiritual reign right now or in the future. So how can we know what is to come?

Guest: Ed Vitagliano, Executive Vice President, American Family Association

America as an independent, sovereign nation is now 250 years old. The founders of our nation, who were mostly Christians or were in large measure influenced by Christianity, brilliantly wrote and adopted our nation’s founding and guiding documents—the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 and the US Constitution, the supreme law of our land on Sept 17, 1789.

The founders understood from studying Scripture and history that separation of power is necessary to avoid tyranny and individual liberties, bound by personal restraint, are God’s intent for a flourishing society.

They were right. For about 200 years, America grew, developed, and course-corrected into one of the greatest empires in human history—militarily, economically, culturally, and yes, spiritually. The pulpit of Christian churches influenced the majority of our citizens through proclaiming biblical truth and the gospel. Generally speaking, our people and institutions largely revered God and His Word.

But as with all nations throughout history before us, including God’s own people the Jews, the hearts of our people began to wander and be seduced from reverence of the Creator. The Christian worldview that pervaded our land now has been replaced by a man-centered ethic where “every man does what is right in his own eyes.” We are now at the point where right is called wrong and wrong is called right.

So where will America go from its 250 anniversary—deeper into sin and societal collapse or repentance and revival? What do Christians need to understand about our situation and what should they be doing?

Ed Vitagliano is our guest this weekend to help answer these questions. Ed is the executive vice president of American Family Association (AFA) and the longtime co-host of Today’s Issues radio program on American Family Radio Network. An award-winning writer, Ed wrote a column titled Foundations from the Past in AFA’s The Stand magazine, which also appears in the July-August issue of The Christian Worldview Journal to be released soon.

A nation and world altering event took place on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia when 56 representatives of 13 British colonies signed the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain.

The Declaration is America’s original founding document and is “the most consequential enumeration of the fundamental and unalienable Rights of Mankind as irrevocably endowed by our Creator.”

Today in a special Independence Day program, we’re going to commemorate this bold act that altered our nation from being yet another British colony under the King and Church of England. Instead, America became a Constitutional Republic that separates power from the dictates of one king into branches of government and elected representatives of the people. We will examine what led to the Declaration of Independence and the impact it made on America, even to this day.

The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33).

While this specifically refers to Israel, there is general blessing for any nation that reveres and obeys God. God has greatly blessed America. The question going forward as we increasingly rebel against Him is: Will America repent and honor God?

The Bible says that in the time of the judges in Israel, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). That is another way of saying the people were flagrantly breaking God’s laws and rationalizing their sin. Scripture is clear that all men and women are sinners by nature and by choice.

For example, Romans 3 says:“for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one” (Romans 3:9-12).

Considering all the hate, murder, lying, lusting, stealing, coveting, envying, immorality, blasphemy, oppression, and much more that marks our world, it may seem surprising that Americans don’t see themselves as sinners but as basically good, and thus, do what is right in their own eyes.

In a recent survey released by George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, “only half of all American adults (52%) believe that everyone has sinned…and even among theologically-defined born-again Christians, one in four denies personal guilt of sin.” What’s more, “among self-identified Christians, 72% believe that people are “basically good at heart.”

This is troubling and egregious error, especially by those who profess to be part of the church. Today on the program, George Barna joins us to discuss the changing view of sin by Americans and Christians and what has led to it. We will also discuss why conviction over one’s sin is so important because it shows us our need for the only remedy.

This is Father’s Day Weekend and perhaps nothing has been more assaulted in our society than God’s design for a godly father shepherding his wife and children. God’s model is the only one that leads to harmony in marriage and the home and the raising of a next generation who loves and fears God.

How has God’s design for fathers been undermined and resisted? In many ways:

– Fatherly authority in the home is slandered as misogynistic and toxic.

– Culture, peers, education, social media, and entertainment endlessly promote sexual immorality, gender confusion, and “self-actualization” (i.e. live for self, not for God and others).

– Even evangelical churches, including schools and camps, delay the transition from boyhood to manhood through emphasizing amusement over maturity.

It’s no wonder boys grow up drifting, without God’s vision for life, marriage, and fatherhood, lacking work ethic, distracted by video games and entertainment, and thus unprepared and even uninformed about God’s design for their lives.

This is part of the reason we held The Overcomer Course the past two years—to help young adults understand and pursue God’s call on the most important issues of life. We aren’t holding the two-day Course this year due to managing workload but we wanted to devote a program to the importance of “Preparing Boys for Marriage and Fatherhood.”

Helping us do that is our guest, Dr. Ernie Baker. Ernie is the Chair of the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University and the author of several books, including one we will discuss, Marry Wisely, Marry Well. Ernie is also the featured speaker at the upcoming “Wisdom, Romance & the Single Years Conference” on Aug. 21-22 at Anchor Bible Church in Plymouth, MN which is designed for those in their 20s and late teens. No doubt you’ve noticed how mainstream the subject of UFOs and aliens has become. Major broadcast networks show videos of objects flying in ways that defy what we know about physics. Reputable people, including from the military and intelligence services, report their encounters with alien life forms. Even our president is being asked what the government knows about UFOs and extraterrestrial life.

So are intelligent life forms visiting us from far-reaching places in the universe? And if so, for what purpose? If UFOs and aliens are real, does it shake the Christian faith to the core?

Popular film producer Steven Spielberg seems to think so. His new blockbuster film, Disclosure Day, is about to release.

On the subject of extraterrestrial life, Spielberg said, “What does this do to the fundamental beliefs that many of us have? Is God our God only on this planet? Or is God a god for every system where there’s civilization and intelligent life, and even developing life?”

Sadly, June has become synonymous with “Pride Month,” where sexual sin and rebellion against God are not repented of but celebrated. Parades, often with lewd behavior, march through the streets, rainbow flags are flown, and the media and organizations trip over themselves to promote what God’s Word everywhere condemns.

The lie that has been swallowed is that people are born, even created by God, whatever they identify as in the LGBTQIA+ alphabet.

Our guest today, pastor Daren Mehl of Made Free Ministries, knows first-hand that this is a lie from the pit of hell. God’s rescue of Daren out of homosexuality highlights the lavish grace of God but also how errant churches confuse and keep people in their sin.

GUEST: STEVE DEACE, from the Blaze, syndicated radio host and best-selling author

President Trump is relentlessly positive—about his abilities, his policies, and America. It’s widely reported that the President was heavily influenced by Norman Vincent Peale’s best-selling book from 1952, The Power of Positive Thinking. Peale was a minister at Marble Collegiate, a church in midtown Manhattan where Trump’s family became members (but rarely attended).

This likely explains why Trump chose Paula White-Cain to lead the White House Faith Office—she is cut from the same positivity cloth in the health, wealth, and prosperity movement where one “names and claims” God’s blessings.

So what does this have to do with the war in Iran? Trump’s self-confidence, in his leadership, the U.S. military, and in his ability to “make deals,” has impelled him to undertake what no president previously dared—to take military action against Iran to keep them from developing a nuclear weapon with the goal of achieving peace in the Middle East. With the region’s history of conflict going back to ancient times, this is an audacious objective.

One of Trump’s favorite adjectives is the word “great.” In late February, the war started “great” with the airstrike extermination of Iran’s supreme leader and dozens of other commanders. The war continued to go great as the U.S. and Israel “decimated” Iran’s military infrastructure and sank its navy. And now we’re told the negotiations with Iran to end the war and give up their nuclear weapons ambitions are going great.

But is that really true? One day the president says a deal is close. The next day we hear there’s no deal. The reality is no amount of positivism can make a crooked stick straight—or open the Strait (of Hormuz), for that matter.

Iran is crooked and intractable. Their Shia Muslim worldview is apocalyptic. They believe they will usher in the Twelfth Imam, the Islamic version of the messiah, through the conflagration of hostilities. This means they have no intention of peace with the U.S. and Israel, regardless of casualties and hardship. Their patience is long while the president must be mindful of the mid-term elections in November where he could lose power in the Congress.

So how to reconcile the seemingly irreconcilable? Steve Deace, author and syndicated radio host for The Blaze, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss how the war with Iran can be concluded in a way that achieves the objective of keeping them from making nuclear weapons.

We will also address how the war has exposed the deep rift on the right over Israel and the major inroads Islam is making in Western nations, including the U.S. And finally, we’ll talk about Steve’s new children’s book, Why Independence Day? America is Great Because God is Good, and the call for Christians to use their spheres of influence to be salt and light in our changing country.

This Memorial Day Weekend, as we honor the sacrifice of so many members of the military over the generations who gave their lives in defense of our country and freedoms, we ought to thank God for His goodness, patience, and protection of our nation.

This year we commemorate 250 years as an independent nation. The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776 and references God four times as the source of our rights, laws, guidance, and protection. Indeed, early Americans and our history were overtly Christian. But as rebellion against God lurks in the heart of man, we have strayed very far from that today.

The Trump Administration, along with public and private organizations, are seeking to change that, to rededicate our nation to God. One week ago, a large event was held in Washington DC called Rededicate 250, promoted as “A National Jubilee Of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving. Freedom 250 Invites All Americans to Come Together in Prayer and Worship Ahead of the Nation’s 250th Birthday.”

Todd Friel, pastor of Alpharetta Bible Church (GA), host of Wretched TV and Radio, and executive director of the Fortis Institute, joins us to discuss several aspects of Rededicate 250 and whether it can lead to Christian revival in our nation. We will also discuss one of the reasons Americans have been persuaded away from God—the college campus.

If you’re a Christian, you likely find yourself gobsmacked (“utterly astonished”) at the craziness (you see all around you in society, such as:

• How abortion, the killing of unborn babies, is celebrated
• How living together before marriage is promoted as necessary to ascertain compatibility
• How boys can purportedly become girls and vice versa and how hospitals and doctors are more than willing to remove private parts to “transition”
• How two men can “marry” and then choose a woman out of a catalog to be artificially inseminated by one of them to carry their baby
• How the proposed solution to crime is “defunding the police” and reducing consequences for criminals
• How those who illegally enter the country should be able to vote and receive taxpayer benefits

The worldview on these issues and many more may seem like lunacy to the Christian, but to the non-Christian or to the liberal professing Christian, they seem perfectly reasonable, even worthy of celebration.

Fundamentally, the divide we see and feel in our society is between one side that believes in God and adheres to the framework He established versus another side that rejects the biblical worldview and promotes what is right in their own eyes.

Frankly, this shouldn’t surprise us, as it’s been the story of mankind from the very beginning. What God establishes, man rejects and rebels. Satan falsely promised Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would lead to wisdom and liberation but the opposite occurred—shame, enslavement, and ultimately death.

Our guest this weekend is Carl Trueman. He is a professor of biblical and theological studies at Grove City College and the author of the book, The Desecration of Man: How the Rejection of God Degrades our Humanity, which is our new featured resource. We hope the discussion helps you better discern what is at work in our society and how the only answer is to repent, believe, and follow God’s gospel and will.

I don’t remember the exact year, but it was about 20 years ago that I began interviewing my Dad and Mom at this time of year on programs related to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

As some listeners will remember, my Dad went to heaven in February 2023 after a sudden heart event at age 91. After 68 years of marriage, my mom became a widow. That’s a difficult loss, as anyone who has lost a beloved husband or wife will attest.

Over the past three years since losing my Dad, my Mom has experienced what many elderly people do: the loss of a spouse and declining health. She broke her shoulder and suffered a brain bleed after falling off her treadmill, underwent a knee replacement, endured emergency small intestine surgery and 22 grueling nights in the hospital to recover, and later suffered another fall in her bathroom, breaking a bone in her back. She was then hospitalized for nearly a week due to fluid in her lung cavity.

Then this past January, after a period of relative stability, she experienced sudden abdominal pain caused by a twisted intestine, again requiring emergency surgery and 14 nights in the hospital.

I say all this not to make the case that she has suffered more than others, but rather the opposite—that what she has gone through is very common for elderly people, and often much worse. After all, Scripture says, “our outer man is decaying,” but the good news for the Christian is that “our inner man is being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16).

My mom is home now and doing relatively well. But she can no longer live independently due to the risk of falling. Our family is walking through this journey with her, but we are not doing it alone. God has brought some wonderful women into our lives to provide daytime and overnight care throughout the week. You will meet two of them today in the second segment.

In the final segment, you will also hear from my siblings as they reflect on both the blessings and the challenges of caring for my Mom. And that is the point of this program: to remind us of God’s call to serve and care for aging parents, and how He does a good work not only in the life of the one being cared for, but also in the lives of the caregivers.

We’ll also hear from my Mom herself, now age 92. Her voice may not be as strong as you have heard in the past, but by God’s grace, her faith is as strong as ever. It is our hope that this Mother’s Day, you will treasure the mother God gave you and rely on His strength to care for your parents in their later years.

Five times each day the Muslim call to prayer sounds from mosques in Minneapolis. One might expect this in an Islamic country like Saudi Arabia or Iran, but in the United States, a nation that was founded and operated on distinctly Christian principles? The founders likely made the assumption that our nation would be and remain Christian, as early immigrants came from Christian European nations. They probably thought future Americans wouldn’t be so foolish as to welcome hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

But those with an unbiblical worldview of secular and religious humanism have taken power and hold to the spirit of Babel—that uniting all religions and peoples together will make us good and united. That will not work with Islam and its mission to dominate the world. Europe has puts its very existence at risk in bringing millions of Muslims into its nations and towns and now America is doing the same in Minneapolis, Dearborn, MI, New York City, and elsewhere.

My 92-year-old mother, who has been a follower of Christ for over 65 years, will often describe how much American culture has declined in her lifetime with regard to morality and marriage, manners and standards, movies and music, education and communication, and more. She does not say that things were perfect or sinless “in the good ol’ days,” but rather how much the culture has coarsened.

The younger generation has grown up in this stew so they may not realize all that has changed. And many from the older generation may not discern the downward trajectory or actually see it as “progress.”

But the basis for evaluating our society is not human viewpoints, not even my mother’s, but the fixed standard of God’s Word. For example, God designed marriage to be between one man and one woman for life, not two or three people of the same gender. God commands that our speech be truthful and edifying, not marked by obscenity or sensuality. God desires His principles and practices—like prayer, worship, Christ-like character—to be venerated rather than dismissed.

So where do we go from here? Can the culture be renewed or is that just another attempt at coercive Christian nationalism? What does it mean for the church to teach, and individual Christians to apply, “the whole counsel of God”?

According to a public relations company, the news cycle is “a continuous process of news generation, distribution, and consumption that describes how media outlets create, report, and replace news stories throughout a given time period.”

Today, in our age 24-7 media and everyone with a phone and camera posting on social media, the news cycle doesn’t last long. A story is posted, shared, consumed, and then replaced with the next story in the blink of an eye.

It’s hard to keep up or absorb the significance of what is taking place all around us…because the next news story is there to grab our attention.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, Todd Starnes, the Christian and conservative journalist and host at Newsmax who has lived the news cycle during his long career, will join us to discuss several current events, from the war in Iran to once-trusted conservatives turning against President Trump and Israel to the growth of Islam in Europe and the United States to the president posting an image of himself that most thought represented Jesus.

Scripture calls Christians to be alert and discerning and that’s what we aim to do as we examine some of the major events in the world today, knowing that it’s not merely a news cycle but God moving all things toward the return of His Son.

Kings, rulers, emperors, prime ministers, and presidents always surrounded themselves with advisors so they can hear what they consider to be the most informed perspectives of domestic and foreign policy. In our day, this would be the president’s cabinet with the heads of the various government agencies.

Most rulers throughout history have also surrounded themselves with spiritual or religious advisors in the hope that they will receive wisdom from those closest to God, or in idolatrous nations, from those who worship false gods. The Egyptian Pharaoh had his wise men, sorcerers, and magicians who provided counsel and performed their “secret arts.” The kings of Judah and Israel were always surrounded by prophets and priests in order to know God’s will.

And that’s the critical point—knowing God’s will only comes from those who genuinely know God. Just like the broad way that leads to the destruction and the narrow way that leads to eternal life, most who spiritually advise rulers will be like the false prophets of Ahab telling the king what he wants to hear while few will be brave enough to speak the true Word of God.

Enter the modern day and President Trump’s White House Faith Office, an advisory board of religious leaders selected by the president led by the well-known charismatic pastor and televangelist Paula White-Cain. White-Cain teaches the health, wealth, and prosperity false gospel and it influences how she leads the Faith Office.

There are other more sound Christian pastors and leaders like Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, and Franklin Graham, evangelist and head of Samaritan’s Purse. These men are in a testing position—how to be faithful when there is compromise all around?

Virgil Walker, pastor, author, writer, and podcast host, will join us this weekend to help us think through the spiritual influences on President Trump. Because how the President sees himself and how he makes decisions will be in part, perhaps in large part, influenced by who those have his ear.

In the days leading up to Easter I was watching a weather forecast on television. When the extended forecast came up showing the weekend ahead, there was an icon of a bouncing bunny on Easter Sunday (better termed Resurrection Sunday). Nothing on Crucifixion Friday…not even a mention of Easter weekend.

How sad and tragic that the most important event in the history of mankind—the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ—has been replaced with a counterfeit fairy tale (the Easter bunny and Easter eggs). For to not know about the person and work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His supernatural resurrection is to be left in the dark about the one way God offers to reconcile sinners to Himself.

“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time” (1 Tim. 2:5-6).

This Easter weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will focus our minds and hearts on what God has revealed in His Word about His Son the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Redeemer and the Victor.

We are entering Easter Week. Or as it is sometimes called, Holy Week or Passion Week, commemorating the final week of the earthly life of Jesus Christ that culminated in His crucifixion on this coming Friday and resurrection next Sunday.

Many significant events occurred in the days leading to His crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus made what’s called “The Triumphal Entry” into Jerusalem this weekend on Sunday, also know as Palm Sunday, when he presented Himself to Israel as their promised Messiah and King, His followers waving palm branches and laying their coats on the road as Jesus rode in on the colt of a donkey.

On Monday, He came back into Jerusalem and cleansed the temple for the second time. On Tuesday and Wednesday, he taught in the temple and contended with unbelieving religious leaders of the Jews. He also instructed His own disciples about what was to come in the future.

And then on Thursday began the more familiar events with His Last Supper with His disciples, His betrayal by Judas, His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, and His sham trials by the Jews and the Romans, leading to His crucifixion on Friday.

Next weekend on the program, we will air a special program focusing on the person and work of Christ.

Last week in part 1, we discussed the widening division among conservatives and Christians over Israel and the Jewish people. A lot has changed since Oct 7, 2023 when the Islamic group Hamas in Gaza crossed the border into Israel, executing a barbaric attack, killing about 1200 Israelis (including dozens of Americans) and kidnapping and torturing hundreds more.

One might think Israel’s military response in Gaza to dismantle Hamas would be widely supported but the opposite occurred. Demonstrations all over the world and alarmingly on American college campuses against Israel and in favor of Hamas and Palestine took place.

While the left is almost entirely anti-Israel, many prominent influencers on the right like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, Marjorie Taylor Green, Megyn Kelly and many, many more have come out loudly against Israel. What is more troubling is the turning against Israel from professing biblical Christians, those who believe things like justification by grace through faith in Christ and other key doctrines. You’ll see lots of these Christians on social media, such as pastor Joel Webbon posting things like this:

“Israel is not America’s Greatest Ally. Israel is the world’s Greatest Enemy.”

Hostility or hatred of the Jews and Israel is an age-old scourge of mankind. And it always ends badly for those who get seduced into it.

The Egyptian Pharaoh attempted to kill male Jewish babies, and his country was destroyed by God’s plagues. Haman in Persia (modern-day Iran) plotted to exterminate all Jews in the kingdom, and he and his 10 sons were executed. In the 20th century, Hitler launched an attempt to annihilate the Jewish people. He died, and Germany lost World War II.

There have been many more examples of enmity toward the Jews throughout history and yet the Jewish people continue to survive and even prosper.

Anti-Israel, anti-Jewish hostility is inspired by Satan. How so? Satan is driven to thwart God’s plan. So to exterminate the Jews before the coming of Jesus Christ, Himself a Jew, would be to foil God’s promise of a Savior. To destroy Israel now would be to derail God’s promise to save Israel and the return of Christ.

Fundamentally, the lack of peace in the Middle East is about Israel’s neighbors open hostility toward the Jewish people’s presence. The Jews did not take back Israel through force of arms in 1948 but through declarations by Britain and the United Nations. No matter, the newly established State of Israel was attacked immediately by her Arab neighbors.

This helps explain why Iran and its proxies across the Middle East, like Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, who although holding differing Islamic beliefs, are united by an unquenchable hatred and motive to destroy Israel.

But it’s not just the Middle East. The spiritual contagion of enmity toward the Jews and Israel has infected many in the West. The political and theological left, which are basically one and the same, are characterized by this. But what is troubling is that the political and theological right (i.e. conservatives) are succumbing as well. Notable influencers like Tucker Carlson, Candance Owens, and Nick Fuentes, along with many others, openly and loudly deride Israel and the Jews, asserting:

• The modern-day people in Israel aren’t Jews
• The Jews control America and the U.S. does Israel’s bidding in the Middle East
• The Jews are the great corruptors in the world and seek global dominion
• Israel is a genocidal oppressor

Even if there was any truth to these defamations, none of it would cancel God’s unbreakable promise: “God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! … From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:1, 28-29).

After weeks of a massive U.S. military buildup in the Middle East, and after several rounds of failed negotiations with the Islamist Iranian regime to abandon their nuclear weapons program, Americans woke up on Saturday, February 28 to learn that their country and Israel had begun a joint war against Iran.

President Trump delivered a message in the middle of the night outlining the justification and purpose for attacking Iran, which centers around eliminating the regime’s ability to construct nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.

The first day of the war had the stunning result of killing Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayotollah Ali Khamenei and 50 high-level leaders through an airstrike as the regime gathered to meet in the capital city of Tehran.

In just one week, the U.S. and Israel have systematically degraded Iran’s military leadership and infrastructure, even as Iran has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel and American naval ships, military bases, and other U.S. interests in the region. There have been six American casualties so far.

While many Americans support the demolishing of Iran’s capability to follow through on its long-time objective of “Death to America, Death to Israel,” others, including almost all on the political left and many on the political right, are against this war for a variety of reasons, asserting:

• The U.S. is fighting another war for Israel
• There is little strategic interest for America in Iran halfway across the world
• This is illegal without a Congressional declaration of war
• Trump promised to not get us into wars and we have bigger problems at home
• There is no way to bomb our way to peace in the Middle East

From a biblical standpoint, this is not just another war between nations at odds with each other. This is a war between two of the nations—Israel and Iran (historically called Persia)—who are explicitly referenced in Scripture to face off in the lead up to the return of Jesus Christ to earth.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will discuss the significance and ramifications of this war and why Christians should be paying very close attention.

Jeffrey Epstein is most known for owning Little Saint James, a small private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands directly to the east of Puerto Rico, to which he would fly in rich and powerful men to engage in sexual immorality with underage women. He did traffic underage children; he lured politicians, businessmen, and academics to his island to commit debauchery; he did possess leverage on elites. But he was also at the heart of the Insider’s operation in a big way, serving as an advisor, confidant, networker, and consultant for outfits that exist to destroy Americanism and usher in a global gulag.”

Did you know that Epstein was on the globalist Trilateral Commission, closely associated with the Rothschild banking family, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and some of the top institutions of higher education, and was on the front lines of transhumanism, genetic engineering, and eugenics? In short, Epstein was connected to the Deep State cabal that seeks to rule and enslave the world in rebellion against God.

One might think that with Jeffrey Epstein’s death in a New York jail cell in 2019 that his dastardly life and legacy would fade from memory. But the opposite is happening— calls for transparency and justice are growing.

Have you ever wondered why so many feminists support biological boys who identify as girls being able to compete against and defeat biological girls in girls’ sporting events?

Or why is nary a peep uttered by those on the left against Somali Muslim immigrants in Minnesota who defrauded taxpayers of over $9 billion? But in the next second these same people are out on the streets screaming and interfering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who are tasked with finding and deporting illegal immigrants, many of whom having committed additional crimes while here?

The animating motivation behind these scenarios and countless more is a misguided form of empathy.

Empathy means “the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.” It has some crossover with sympathy and compassion, which are biblical qualities. God is compassionate. Christ understands and sympathizes with our weaknesses and sufferings and believers are to be like Him.

Hebrews 4:15 confirms this: “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.”

Colossians 3:12-13 extols that we show compassion: “as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.”

So while sympathy and compassion are biblical virtues, there is a corrupted form of empathy today which serves as a sacred virtue of the left that is blind to moral truth and negative consequences because the object of their empathy holds an idolized status of being oppressed.

So going back to the aforementioned examples, girls missing opportunities in sports or getting injured or defeated by biological boys is ignored for the greater good of helping the purportedly oppressed “trans community” feel accepted.

It’s more important to be welcoming to our Somali Muslim neighbors than to worry about billions in taxpayer fraud. And the illegal immigrants in the shadows among us need protection, never mind that they broke the law to enter and many have committed serious crimes, all the while taking advantage of our taxpayer funded social services like welfare, education, and health care.

Our guest this weekend, Joe Rigney, author of Leadership and The Sin of Empathy and associate pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, will explain how untethered empathy goes far beyond the biblical call for compassion and instead is used to manipulate people into supporting leftist power and policies. Because how cold, bigoted, hateful, racist, and homophobic must you be to not share in their so-called empathy?

The world is energized by lust, which is sinful desire contrary to God’s will. The apostle John wrote:

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world” (1 John 2:16).

“All that is in the world” is pretty all-encompassing, and lust is the internal motivator to get what we want in opposition to what God wills. Lust is typically associated with the craving for sexual satisfaction outside marriage. Think about what drove the world’s elite to visit Jeffrey Epstein’s island with the lure of young girls. Lust. Think about the secular movie and music industries and what they are promoting. Lust. Think about the porn industry in the U.S. generating $13 billion annually and what they are stoking. Lust.

But lust can also apply to an unending list of other sinful desires such as power, status, success, money, material things, standard of living, personal network, and the list goes on.

The bottom line is the sinful human heart has a strong bent to please itself rather than please God. So is there any hope? The answer is a resounding YES!

In some of his final words, the apostle Paul wrote to the younger pastor Timothy saying, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come” (2 Timothy 3:1).

Paul then described what men will be like in these perilous times: “For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” (2 Timothy 3:2-5).

The “last days” in Scripture is the period of time between the first coming and second coming of Christ. But reading the book of Revelation, the ungodliness intensifies in the last of the last days.

While there is certainly room to descend further, what we are seeing today, for example in Minneapolis with protestors taking to the streets day after day to scream obscenities at officers and block them from arresting criminals and illegal immigrants, and then entering and disrupting Cities Church in St. Paul this past Sunday, claiming to be like Christ cleansing the temple, as they yelled and shamed churchgoers for “doing nothing to help their immigrant neighbors” could aptly be described as “perilous times.” All this lawlessness has the support or sympathy of state leaders.

But it’s not just in my home state of Minnesota. There is massive deception and delusion across the country and world rebelling against God and His ways and ranting against Israel, even within the church.

Our guest this weekend, Jan Markell, has watched it all over her lifetime. The daughter of an orthodox Jewish father, Jan was changed forever when she heard and believed the gospel as a young girl. She would go on to found Olive Tree Ministries, a ministry that for decades has exhorted the church, through her radio program heard across the country and world called Understanding the Times, conferences, and written and video resources, to be faithful and discerning and to look for to the return of Christ and God fulfilling His promises to Israel.

There are many fiery situations in the world right now. In Iran, millions have been on the streets protesting with thousands killed by the Shia Islamist regime led by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who is on the brink of being ousted due to economic decline and repressive rule. This situation has significant ramifications for stability in the Middle East and even the end times.

Here in my home state of Minnesota, violent confrontations continue against ICE agents by protesters and paid agitators and rioters, as agents search for and arrest illegal immigrants. President Trump has stated he is considering employing the Insurrection Act to use military force to quell the obstruction and violence which has been incited by MN Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

There are other fires—in Venezuela after the U.S. captured their Communist narco-terrorist president Nicolas Maduro; in England and Australia which are threatening and arresting their own citizens for social media content against Islam; in Ukraine where the intractable, deadly war with Russia continues.

And yet all these fires at home and abroad are far less significant and lasting than what the Bible describes as the “unquenchable fire” of hell.

Hell is an issue that is almost unspeakable, and rightly so, because of the horror of what it is—eternal conscious torment for all who have rejected God by not believing in His Son’s substitutionary death and resurrection on the sinner’s behalf. In fact, the final destination for non-believers is described this way in Revelation 20: “if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Because hell is so horrific and never ending, there are many who question God’s character in sending people there. They say, “I know sin offends the holy God, but punishment for eternity in hell is disproportionate to the crime.”

Kirk Cameron, actor and Christian influencer and author, who has worked and associated with many sound Christians like Ray Comfort, Ken Ham, and John MacArthur, announced on his podcast recently that he no longer believes that hell is eternal conscious torment but rather that an unbeliever is eventually annihilated. In other words, unbelievers do go to hell for punishment but at some point they go out of existence.

This is certainly not the first time the eternality of hell has been challenged and it won’t be the last. Todd Friel, pastor of Alpharetta Bible Church in Georgia and host of Wretched, which produces radio and TV programs, joins us this weekend to examine what the Bible teaches about hell. Is hell being eternal an important doctrine to stand firm on? Is there a biblical basis that unbelievers are annihilated in hell, in light of what Jesus said in John 10, “fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”?

The Christian Worldview has been broadcasting from the Minneapolis area of Minnesota for over 20 years. The city and state were once known for its natural resources, the forested and agricultural regions and “10,000 lakes,” along with its citizens being mostly descendants of Scandinavian countries with a cultural ethos known as “Minnesota Nice.”

While there has always been a significant conservative and Christian presence in Minnesota (Billy Graham’s ministry was once based here and pastor John Piper is from Minneapolis), the state has leaned liberal for half a century. For example, Ronald Reagan won 49 of 50 states in the 1984 presidential election—you can probably guess the state he didn’t.

In the last 20 years or so, Minnesota has moved from liberal to radically left. It has declared itself a “sanctuary state” for abortion and transgender mutilation surgeries and treatments. It is known for high taxes to fund liberal welfare policies and immigrants from third world nations like Somalia. It gained international notoriety for the death of George Floyd while in the custody of Minneapolis police officers and the resulting burning of the city by rioters. It is led by far left politicians like Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey, and many more with the same worldview.

Just recently, Minneapolis again became the flashpoint of the biggest national news story after a 23-year-old independent journalist from Utah named Nick Shirley came to town on the tip that the Somali Muslim immigrant community, of which there are an estimated 100,000 in the state, are operating the largest scale welfare fraud in history by setting up fake child daycare centers, nutrition and autism services, transportation services, amongst other things, and then billing the state for services that weren’t rendered to the tune of an estimated $9 billion. This funded not just lavish lifestyles but Islamic jihadists in Somalia and potentially the Democrat Party.

As the enormity of the fraud story was being exposed, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers entered Minnesota to find and deport illegal immigrants. Not surprisingly, leftist protesters interfered with ICE agents, with one protester being killed after she used her vehicle to block ICE vehicles and then drove toward an officer who shot her dead. Major protests from the left across the country are ongoing.

Let your fountain be blessed,
And rejoice in the wife of your youth.

As a loving hind and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
Be exhilarated always with her love.

For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress
And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?

For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the Lord,
And He watches all his paths.

His own iniquities will capture the wicked,
And he will be held with the cords of his sin.

He will die for lack of instruction,
And in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.

God wonderfully designed us with the ability to procreate and to enjoy the one-flesh dynamic of sexual intimacy within the one-man one-woman marriage covenant, all to His glory. But what God beautifully designed is what the devil, the world, and our flesh relentlessly corrupts. God says, “rejoice in the wife of your youth.” Satan says, “Do whatever you want with whomever you want.”

And the destruction that results from lust and pornography and fornication and adultery and homosexuality and every other kind of sexual sin are everywhere—bondage to sin, broken marriages, sexually transmitted diseases, and alienation from God. Because of the pull of sexual desire and the ubiquity of sexual sin, it’s common to conclude that God’s call for sexual purity—mentally and physically—is an impossible standard.

The Apostle Peter was inspired by God to write: “Be of sober spirit, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Christmas is upon us. While it’s easy to get distracted by all that competes for our attention—current events and politics, work and school, sports and recreation, travel and material things, even family and church—there is really only one most important issue and that is the person of Jesus Christ and what He has done for mankind.

Jesus said, “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).

That couldn’t be more clear. Where you spend eternity hinges on whether you place your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Christmas is the time when Christians remember and celebrate God sending His Son into our world, born of a virgin woman, mighty and holy in word and deed, and loving and sacrificial in offering His perfect life to satisfy God’s wrath and justice for our sins.

Today will be a program to think about not Christmas generally, but the Christ of Christmas specifically. We will read God’s word, listen to some music, even do a Christmas quiz, all to appreciate and worship the God/Man, the Lord Jesus Christ. For none of us would have any hope without His “One Solitary Life”.

Five times each day the Muslim call to prayer sounds from mosques in Minneapolis. One might expect this in an Islamic country like Saudi Arabia or Iran, but in the United States, a nation that was founded and operated on distinctly Christian principles? The founders likely made the assumption that our nation would be and remain Christian, as early immigrants came from Christian European nations. They probably thought future Americans wouldn’t be so foolish as to welcome hundreds of thousands of Muslims.

As we approach Christmas, a date that has been traditionally set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, it’s remarkable to observe just how little all the hubbub around the “holidays” reflects this historic reason for the season.

Blow-up Santas adorn yards, endless ads in print and on television entice purchasing endless things, and background music in stores croon about snowflakes, Frosty, and jingle bells.

The obvious truth is this: the god of this world has successfully distracted and deceived society from focusing on the Christ of Christmas.

At the same time, national and world events draw our attention—heated debates over politicians and policies, the cost of living, taxation, normalization of sexual sin, abortion, Islamic immigration, deportation of illegal immigrants, support of Israel, and the list goes on.

While God designed us with the capacity to consider many different issues each day, one needs to be our priority, that “God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:9-10).

Grant Castleberry, pastor of The King’s Chapel in Raleigh, NC, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to help us avoid the distractions and keep Christ at the center of this Christmas season. A former captain in the US Marine Corps, Grant, along with his wife, GraceAnna, are the authors of Manger in Danger, an excellent, gospel-centered 25-day devotional for families with children.

Grant will also explain how nations with Christian heritage, like England and the United States, have diverted from Christmas and the faith, become secularized and even welcomed Islamic immigration in the name of the false god of multiculturalism.

A small group of biblical Christians known as the the Pilgrims are widely considered to be “the founders of America”.

Numbering only about 400-500 souls, they had fled religious persecution in England to settle in Holland. But after ten years there, they decided on another move across the Atlantic Ocean to an unknown land that would become the United States.

About 50 Pilgrims were on the first vessel called The Mayflower, arriving in modern-day Cape Cod in Massachusetts in November 1620. One year later in November 1621, after a brutal winter in which many of them died, they celebrated a bountiful harvest with local Indians who had helped them in what has become known as the first Thanksgiving.

The Pilgrims and their biblical beliefs which led directly to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution 150 years have been mostly forgotten by the majority of our population. “Separation of church and state” is a sacrament of mainstream society today…but it wasn’t to the Pilgrims. They said they came to America “for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.”

Dr. Jerry Newcombe, producer of the documentary film, The Pilgrims, joins us this Thanksgiving weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the Pilgrims’ story and what they believed and lived by. For in them we have an example for how we can live in our pilgrimage in a contrary world.

It’s America’s largest and most well-known city. It’s the financial center of the country and even the world for free markets. Twenty-four years ago, the most prominent buildings in the city—the World Trade Center—crumbled to the ground after Islamists hijacked commercial airplanes and flew them into the buildings, causing nearly 3000 deaths.

So how to explain that New York City just elected a Muslim socialist to be its mayor?

Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is not moderate. He is anti-Israel at his core. And he’s anti-American—he is a self-identifying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, which opposes traditional American values of limited government, individual liberties, and free markets. In short, Mamdani is the personification of the “Red-Green Alliance,” the intersectional partnership of Communists and Islamists with the common goal of toppling America and Christianity.

The left won almost everywhere in the first election since President Trump entered the White House this past January. Virginians voted for a Democrat super-majority in their state. Seattle elected a Democrat Socialist for mayor and Minneapolis nearly did as well.

In a recent program, we discussed the rise of Islam in Western Europe and how the line may have been crossed for an Islamic future. But is the same thing happening in America, in places like New York City, Dearborn, Michigan, Minneapolis, and in Texas, where a large Islamic development is being proposed near Dallas?

Alex Newman, Christian author and journalist at Liberty Sentinel Media, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the rise of Islam in America and why it needs to be stopped. He will also discuss other events nationally and abroad, including the rise in political violence on the left and anti-Israel sentiment on the right.

There is no more important issue and pursuit than worshipping God. It’s more important than who will be our next president, more important than world peace, more important than your health, financial security, and whatever else we treasure.

Scripture makes the primacy of worship clear:  King David prayed, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all” (1 Chronicles 29:11).

Paul wrote, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor 10:31).

King Solomon exhorted, “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear [reverence, awe] God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

Psalms, the songbook of the Bible, closes this way: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6)

God created man as a worshipful being. We can see this because everyone worships someone or something. If God isn’t worshipped, a false god will be substituted—person, pleasure, possession, position, popularity, power, to name just a few.

God, as Creator, Sustainer, Savior, and Sovereign over all, deserves our worship. Our peace, purpose, and pleasure in life is directly proportional to how rightly and authentically we worship the Creator.

Our guest this weekend is Scott Aniol, Executive VP and Editor-in-Chief G3 Ministries. G3, which stands for “Gospel—Grace—Glory”, is a Christian organization that aims to strengthen the local church through conferences, resources, online articles, podcasts, expository preaching workshops, biblical worship workshops, and local church-based curriculum for Sunday school and small groups.”

Scott Aniol will join us to discuss “The Primacy of Worship”. He explains in a five-part column series corresponding to each of the “five solas” of the Reformation that worship is even more important than salvation, for salvation is the entry point to proper worship of God.

For nearly 1500 years, Britain has been a Christian nation—Roman Catholic for centuries and then Protestant since the Reformation in the 16th century. In fact, the nation has an official Christian church—the Church of England.

Britain is known for some of the most impactful preachers, such as John Knox (Scotland), John Bunyan, Charles Spurgeon, William Booth (Salvation Army), and Martin Lloyd Jones. It would not be an overstatement to say that Britain was the seat of Protestant Christianity for several centuries.

So it is hard to understand how a nation known for its Christianity is so willing to throw it all away. How is that happening? Over the last 20 years or so, Britain has welcomed millions of Muslims into their land to the point that the most common birth name in England is Muhammad. Nine major cities, including London, have Islamic mayors. Muslims openly call for jihad and Sharia Law on the streets of England and Muslim gangs have raped English girls for years while the government covered it up for fear of creating “Islamophobia.”

Jamie Bambrick is a pastor and well-known YouTuber in Belfast, Northern Island, which is one of four nations that comprise the United Kingdom (England, Wales, and Scotland are the others). Jamie joins us to discuss the societal suicide that is taking place, particularly in England, and how Christians in America need to be aware and vigilant about what is taking place here. For example, New York City, the cultural and financial hub of our country, is set to elect a communist Muslim to be mayor. The same thing is taking place here in Minneapolis.

Jamie will also report on how other liberties are being restricted through arrests for social media posts and praying outside abortion clinics to a nation ID card called BritCard, which will allow government to track and control your life and movement.

Earlier this month, President Trump and his administration brokered a ceasefire in the two-year-old war between Israel and Hamas that has taken place in Gaza, the small Palestinian territory in southwest Israel.

After Hamas’ savage attack into Israel two years ago where they killed 1200 and took 250 hostages back to Gaza, Israel has systematically targeted entrenched Hamas fighters in Gaza, resulting in a near takeover and destruction of Gaza.

So what makes this ceasefire significant? It’s what it doesn’t do and what it could lead to. While greatly diminished, Hamas lives on in Gaza, certain to rebuild, just as Iran is doing after President Trump called Israel off that war. In other words, while Israel has flexed powerful muscles across the Middle East, their enemies live on to fight another day. Meanwhile, President Trump is eager to have the Abraham Accords signed by Israel and longtime Arab enemies throughout he Middle East. Plus, there is a strong international push for a Palestinian state in Israel.

Soeren Kern, geopolitical analyst and managing editor of The Christian Worldview Journal, joins us to discuss the ceasefire and how it may be setting the stage for God’s miraculous rescue in the future.

The Bible says that in the time of the judges in Israel, “every man did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6). That is another way of saying the people were flagrantly breaking God’s laws and rationalizing their sin. Scripture is clear that all men and women are sinners by nature and by choice.

For example, Romans 3 says:“for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become useless; There is none who does good, There is not even one” (Romans 3:9-12).

Considering all the hate, murder, lying, lusting, stealing, coveting, envying, immorality, blasphemy, oppression, and much more that marks our world, it may seem surprising that Americans don’t see themselves as sinners but as basically good, and thus, do what is right in their own eyes.

In a recent survey released by George Barna, Director of Research at the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, “only half of all American adults (52%) believe that everyone has sinned…and even among theologically-defined born-again Christians, one in four denies personal guilt of sin.” What’s more, “among self-identified Christians, 72% believe that people are “basically good at heart.”

This is troubling and egregious error, especially by those who profess to be part of the church. Today on the program, George Barna joins us to discuss the changing view of sin by Americans and Christians and what has led to it. We will also discuss why conviction over one’s sin is so important because it shows us our need for the only remedy.

A “moral equivalency” is argumentation that attempts to make two opposing sides equal, when in reality one side is far more immoral than the other.

Example: Israel and Hamas. The Islamist group Hamas, based in the Palestinian territory of Gaza, barbarically slaughters 1400 civilians in the October 7 raid on Israel and immediately those who side with Palestinians make the moral equivalency that Israel is no better with their racist, oppressive, colonialist, genocidal, apartheid state.

A better moral equivalency to Hamas murdering non-combatants, including children, would be the American zealots who advocate for the “right” to kill pre-born children at any time and for any reason during pregnancy. In fact, the latter group has been much more effective from a death toll standpoint than the former. And the people of Ohio just voted for abortion to be a “right” in their state constitution.

In last week’s program, Chris Katulka of Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry clarified the disinformation (i.e. lies) that so many believe and espouse about Israel and the Jews, such as, they are occupying Palestinian land. Chris detailed the ancient history of Israel with God establishing for them a far larger area of land than their currently inhabit and how in 1948 they were unexpectedly granted a portion of their historic homeland to settle.

This week in part two of the interview, Chris will explain what is behind the widespread anti-semitism in the world, how Christians should obey God’s command to bless the descendants of Abraham and Sarah (the Jews) despite their current God- and Christ-rejection, and what these events mean for Biblical prophecy.

Guest: Mark Spence, Evangelist and Senior VP, Living Waters

While he was imprisoned in Rome and shortly before being martyred, the apostle Paul, in some of his final words to his understudy pastor Timothy, exhorted him to “be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:5).

After Christ rose rose from the grave and ascended to heaven, His followers couldn’t stop speaking the good news and saving message that “there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Evangelism, explaining the good news of the gospel to others, is more than a command for the Christian—it should be a response of gratitude to God for personal salvation and an act of love toward others who need salvation more than anything. Think about this—Christians have the great privilege of being used by God as He redeems souls from destruction to glory!

But opening up our mouths with the gospel has its difficulties. We’re not quite sure how to transition a conversation from the temporal to the eternal. We’re concerned how unbelievers—or our family members—will respond. Or, we conclude that “evangelism is for those with the gift.”

Mark Spence is an evangelist with the ministry Living Waters, which “seeks to train the members of Christ’s Body in the principles of biblical evangelism and to provide them with practical tools to proclaim the gospel.” This past week, the Living Water team of Ray Comfort, Emeal Zwayne, Mark Spence and others were invited by Turning Point USA to do an open-air Q and A and gospel presentation on the California State Fullerton campus.

We weren’t planning to spend a third straight week discussing Charlie Kirk and the issues surrounding his assassination, but after watching his memorial service this past Sunday, it became clear that there is more to consider.

The memorial service was something I’ve never seen. From the scale of the event (nearly 200,000 in attendance at two adjoining stadiums and an estimated viewing audience of 100M) to the notable attendees (President Trump and most of his cabinet) to above all, the proclamation of the gospel over and over again by many of the speakers.

The service was truly remarkable and worthy of our rejoicing.

TPUSA, the organization Charlie Kirk founded and led, has the video of the entire service on their YouTube page and I recommend you watch it. The first three-and-half-hours was a music concert as attendees filed in. The final four-and-a-half hours featured speaker after speaker.

The climactic message was not the final one given by President Trump but rather the penultimate by Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika. Considering the unimaginable grief of having her husband shot and killed in public 11 days earlier, considering the worldwide magnitude of the event, the content of her message and the manner in which she delivered it was one of the most impactful speeches I have ever seen. We’ll play some of her message in the final segment today.

Before we get to that, we’ll discuss the remarkable nature of this event and how God has truly worked something good and great through the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We’ll also discuss how transformative movements like this need secure boundaries lest they compromise the Word and misrepresent God.

The horrific and heinous murder of Charlie Kirk, a young husband and father and conservative and Christian leader, has sent shock waves throughout the world. People are gathering all across our country and in other nations to remember this extraordinary young man.

Many on the left however, are revealing their hateful, unmerciful hearts, expressing their glee that Charlie Kirk was shot dead. We live in a wicked world.

As a follow up to last week’s program, we’ll discuss five observations on the murder of Charlie Kirk, from the motive of the murderer, to the celebration of those who hate Charlie, to a caution for Christians.

GUEST: TRAVIS ALLEN, pastor, Grace Church (Greeley, CO)

In our country today there is no shortage of violent acts that shock the senses. We did a recent program on the man who falsely believed he was a women who opened fire at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, killing two young children.

On the heels of that was a young Ukrainian immigrant minding her own business on a train in North Carolina only to have the man sitting behind, 14 times previously arrested, suddenly stand up and stab her to death. The video shakes one to the core.

And then on Wednesday of this week, Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, a conservative organization on high school and college campuses, and perhaps the most influential conservative leader in the country other than President Trump, was assassinated by a sniper as he spoke at an event at Utah Valley University. Charlie Kirk was married and the father of two young children. He was just 31 years old.

Kirk was known for his sharp intellect, determination, leadership, and articulate, persuasive and bold debate style. At his events on college campuses, he would answer questions from everyone, even those vehemently opposed to his views.

Charlie Kirk was also known for being a forthright Christian who boldly proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The killing of Kirk has been a collective gut punch to those on the right. But to some on the left, his death has been disturbingly celebrated.

This reveals not just a divide in our country but a dark and wicked deception that has hardened the hearts of too many. In a country with freedom of religion and speech in our Constitution, no one should be assassinated for viewpoints. But to the modern left, to disagree with them is to be a danger in need of silencing.

Charlie Kirk has been silenced from speaking in this life but he has no doubt inspired a generation to stand up for their Christian and conservative beliefs.

Travis Allen, pastor of Grace Church in Greeley, CO, joins us to discuss the several aspects of the murder of Charlie Kirk.

In late August, during the first week at Annunciation Catholic School here in Minneapolis, a young man who was so confused that he falsely believed he was a woman (what society incorrectly terms “transgender”), took multiple firearms to the school and started shooting. Sadly, two children were killed and 17 others injured, before the gunman killed himself.

While the media blamed “guns” for yet another school shooting, the reality is that this young man’s confusion about his gender, which was affirmed by his parents, use of marijuana, and focus on evil spirituality (in his manifesto was a drawing of the Satanic figure Baphomet).

Robert Knight, columnist for the Washington Times, joins us today to discuss his most recent article on this “trans” murder rampage and how this has become a trend.

Later in the program, Mike Gendron of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministry, will join us to discuss Understanding Catholicism, Remembering the Reformation in light of a conference he will be speaking at Oct. 10-12 in Minnesota.

GUEST: MATT MACARTHUR, eldest son of Pastor John MacArthur

There are several common terms for the ceremony that takes place after death—funeral, celebration of life, memorial service. You can tell a lot about the deceased by the manner and mood of their service. Some are focused on how accomplished and full of good works the person was. Others are about happy memories and photos. Still others are like a dirge, full of grief over the loss.

The Bible says, “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep [dead], so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14).

To be sure, there should be grief over the loss of a loved one, for we will never see or speak to that person again in this life. Jesus Himself wept when seeing the family and friends of Lazarus lament over his death, not because they wouldn’t see him again (He was about to raise him from the grave) but because death is the ultimate enemy and reality of our sin-corrupted world.

But the passage above says believers shouldn’t “grieve as do the rest who have no hope” because of the promise that God will bring true believers into His presence in heaven to live for eternity, where there is no sin, pain, or death.

This is why for the believer the service following death should largely focus on the greatness of God and how He brings the believer into an infinitely better eternity. Instead of a memorializing or celebrating this life, it really should be a worship service of God for this life, and even more, the next.

I attended the memorial service for pastor John MacArthur this past weekend at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, MacArthur went to heaven back on July 14 at age 86 after nearly three years of health problems.

Outside my parents, MacArthur has had the most important influence on my life, through his preaching and character. So my older brother and I traveled to the church, as we have done many times over the years for the Shepherds’ Conference, an annual convergence for men in ministry. Only this time, we wouldn’t be hearing MacArthur preach. We would be hearing others praise God for the grace and gifting he showered on MacArthur’s life and the eternal reward he is now receiving.

Scripture was read by MacArthur recorded from a past sermon. John Piper offered a personal reflection. Alistair Begg prayed. Joni Eareckson Tada sang and spoke. MacArthur’s two sons, Matt and Mark, offered personal perspectives. Sinclair Ferguson preached. Christ-exalting hymns were sung by the Gettys, soloists, choir, and congregation. It was two hours and forty-five minutes of worshiping God for the good work He did in the life and ministry of John MacArthur.

MacArthur’s eldest son Matt joins us today on the program. Matt and his wife have been married for 40 years and are the parents of three adult children and grandparents of seven. He works in the investment management business and also serves as the president of Grace to You. Matt will offer unique insight into his dad and what the family was aiming to accomplish in the service.

The claims of Scripture are far above and beyond any other book—inspired by God, without error, unchanging, unfailing. In a word, supernatural.

The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:20-21: “know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”

Or how about Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Put together, God directed the authors what He wanted to communicate and God’s Word powerfully accomplishes God’s desires in the human heart.

Now consider that the 66 books of the Bible were authored by 40 men over a span of 1500 years in three languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic) on three continents (Africa, Asia, and Europe). The original manuscripts written by these 40 authors no longer exist but thousands of full or partial copies of the original books do exist. Nearly 25,000 copies of the New Testament alone exist. Compare that to Homer’s Iliad with only 2000 copies. The existence of so many copies of Scripture allows them to be compared to each other to authenticate accuracy. In other words, more copies results in more certainty.

The Bible has also been translated from its original languages into hundreds of languages, with dozens of translations and paraphrases in the English language alone—King James Version, Geneva Bible, New American Standard, English Standard Version, New International Version, and on and on.

Taking all this into consideration, is the Bible we have in our English language today an accurate representation of what the authors of Scripture wrote or has there been significant loss of the text during its transmission from original manuscripts? And what about the many English versions—are they fully trustworthy to be considered the Word of God?

Josh Barzon has done much research on the transmission and translations of the Bible. He was born in the Middle East and now lives in America, working as a content creator, graphic designer, and author of The Forgotten Preface: Surprising Insights on the Translation Philosophy of the King James Translators.

He joins us to discuss the supernatural Scriptures and how God has preserved His Word precisely over the centuries so that can know when you read the Word of God, you can know you are hearing from the God of the Word.

GUEST: ALEX NEWMAN, Journalist and Author, Crimes of the Educators

It’s axiomatic—the one who teaches children is the one who shapes their worldview, and thus, society at large.

The Bible assigns the teaching and training of children to parents. “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

But of course, God-rejecting man has a “better” idea—remove children from the (redefined) home to be indoctrinated by government “educators” for up to 40 hours each week from age four to 18. With a government that ignores the most important truth in life—God exists and has spoken in Scripture—how do you think that will turn out for the kids?

Turns out, just as planned. John Dewey (1859-1952), considered the “Father of the Modern American Public Education System” said: “There is no God and there is no soul. Hence, there are no needs for the props of traditional religion. With dogma and creed excluded, immutable truth is also dead and buried.”

In case you’re not convinced, Dr. Chester Pierce, Professor of Education and Psychology at Harvard University, said at the Childhood International Education Seminar in 1973:

“Every child who enters school at age 5 is mentally ill because he enters school with an allegiance toward our elected officials, our founding fathers, our institutions, the preservation of this form of government we have, patriotism, nationalism, sovereignty… All this proves that the children are sick, because a truly well individual is one who has rejected all those things and is what I would call the international child of the future.”

Mission accomplished. Taxpayer-funded, federal government-mandated public education has shaped generations of the “international child” with unsuspecting parents losing almost all influence. The moral confusion that reigns in our children and nation today shouldn’t be surprising.

When God created Adam and Eve, he gave them a dominion mandate: “God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:28).

The dictionary defines a steward as “a person who manages another’s property.” God gave man a steward role with His “property”—the earth. But predictably, man rebels against God’s design and worships himself and the earth.

Scripture explains this in Romans 1: “For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures” (Romans 1:21-23).

Did you notice the result of dishonoring God is futility and foolishness? This describes the God-rejecting environmental movement—we’re told cows and crops are bad, using oil and gas is bad, and humans are especially bad because we’re causing “climate change” and thus there needs to be billions less people so the earth can be saved.

Never mind that the “experts” are wrong time and again with their predictions of doom and gloom for the earth. The next storm, the next flood, the next forest fire…well, “it’s man-caused climate change and we must act before it’s too late!”

As our guest David Le Gates, climatologist and Director of Research and Education for the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, will tell us, the world’s environmental worldview is actually a religion, one that worships the earth and man. He will refute the pervasive junk science that is constantly being foisted on us from scientists, politicians, and the media.

Christians aren’t immune to the propaganda, accepting that “loving neighbor” means believing those who have “exchanged the truth of God for a lie” (Romans 1:25). Why would we believe anyone who rejects the most fundamental truth that God exists and has spoken in His Word?

There are lots of issues that consume our attention, such as world events, politics, work, family, recreation, health trials, and more. But there is one issue for the Christian that should be of primary focus—loving God.

Loving God means to order our thoughts and actions around what brings glory to God and pleases Him. In fact, Jesus said that loving God with our whole being is “the great and foremost commandment” (Matt. 22:38). Not a suggestion but a commandment.

When the believer grows in love of God, he will enthusiastically want to worship and obey Him. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” Of course—we’ll do anything for someone we truly love.

So how do we grow in our love of God? Is it about trying to manufacture and maintain affectionate feelings toward God, as a man has for a woman with whom he is in love? Should Christians expect to wake up every day just naturally loving God?

John Crotts joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the all-important issue of growing in your love of God. John has been pastor of Faith Bible Church in Sharpsburg, GA for 30 years, hosts the Integrated podcast, and is a fellow with the Fortis Institute, where he produced a video titled, “Head to Heart: Five Ways to Know and Love God.”

John MacArthur, one of the most influential pastors over the past 50+ years, entered heaven on July 14, 2025 after more than two years of health challenges, including heart, lung, and kidney problems.

John, as he preferred to be called, pastored Grace Community Church in Los Angeles for 56 years, authored over 150 books, was heard around the world on Grace To You, the radio ministry that broadcasts his sermons, and led The Master’s Seminary and University, along with a host of other ministries.

Last week in part 1, Travis Allen of Grace Church in Greeley, CO joined us to discuss why MacArthur became the pastor-teacher he was, one that the theologically conservative side of Evangelicalism always looked to to see where he stood on a given issue.

Travis graduated from The Master’s Seminary, taught at Grace Community Church, was the managing director of Grace To You, and knew MacArthur personally over many years. In fact, Travis is marked by at least two qualities of John MacArthur—a “servant of the Word and the flock”. In other words, both have the highest confidence in Scripture and diligently attend to the believers they shepherd in their churches.

Today in part 2, we’ll discuss what made MacArthur forthright in the pulpit and yet gracious in person and why he was considered the last line of defense for the false teaching and compromising that always plagues the church.

In the final segment, we’ll hear an audio clip of when John MacArthur last appeared on this program and a few of the things for which he will long be remembered.

On Monday, July 14, 2025 at 6:17 PM in Southern California, the soul and spirit of one of the great preachers left his deceased earthly body, ascending into heaven to meet the God he so faithfully served and proclaimed. His name was John MacArthur.

A nation and world altering event took place on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia when 56 representatives of 13 British colonies signed the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain.

The Declaration is America’s original founding document and is “the most consequential enumeration of the fundamental and unalienable Rights of Mankind as irrevocably endowed by our Creator.”

Today in a special Independence Day program, we’re going to commemorate this bold act that altered our nation from being yet another British colony under the King and Church of England. Instead, America became a Constitutional Republic that separates power from the dictates of one king into branches of government and elected representatives of the people. We will examine what led to the Declaration of Independence and the impact it made on America, even to this day.

The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33). While this specifically refers to Israel, there is general blessing for any nation that reveres and obeys God. God has greatly blessed America. The question going forward as we increasingly rebel against Him is: Will America repent and honor God?

We at The Christian Worldview took two weeks off from producing new programs due to all the preparation required for The Overcomer Course for Young Adults which took place last weekend (more on that later in today’s program), but God didn’t take two weeks off from advancing His plans for the end times and the return of His Son.

It’s been said that “Ideas have consequences and bad ideas have victims.”

Ideas are the causes of actions in the world, for better or for worse. And the Christian should know from God’s Word that sinful ideas come from unregenerate minds. Romans 8 says, “the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8).

The depravity and death we see all around us in our culture, particularly millions of aborted babies, all manner of sexual and gender perversion, and suicide and euthanasia, are the direct result of ideas from minds that hate God and His truth and design.

As shown in a new documentary film titled The 1916 Project by executive producer Seth Gruber, the wicked lineage of this God-forsaking worldview in America is built block by block upon well-known names like evolutionist Charles Darwin, abortionist Margaret Sanger, and pervert Alfred Kinsey and many other lesser known influencers like Thomas Malthus, Francis Galton, Havelock Ellis, and Emma Goldman.

Gruber reveals how these men and women are the reason why abortion today is seen as “My body, my choice,” “love is love,” “gender is fluid,” and “children need to explore their sexuality at the youngest ages.”

GUEST: BRAD KLASSEN, professor and teacher, Men of the Word

You’ve heard about “the war on men”. In fact, Owen Strachan, author of a book by that title was interviewed on The Christian Worldview on Nov. 18, 2023.

Owen described how our society seeks to emasculate men in order to stamp out what they call “toxic masculinity”. At a more fundamental level, what animates this war is a rejection of God and his design and role for men. Instead of being the leaders, cultivators, and protectors God designed, men become passive, weak, and cowardly.

The way back from this morass isn’t as superficial as an in-your-face dressing-down by a drill sergeant or calls from the social media “manosphere” to “man up”. Nor is it as simple as engaging in manly things, like operating a chain saw or pumping iron in the gym.

Our guest this weekend, Brad Klassen, Professor of Bible Exposition at The Master’s Seminary and teacher of Grace Community Church’s men’s group “Men of the Word”, will explain how reclaiming Biblical manhood starts inside the mind and the heart.

President Trump just returned from his first overseas trip of his second term. Where a president chooses to visit first is a signal of his priorities. That President Trump went to the Middle East and three Arab/Muslim countries—Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates (UAE)—speaks loudly about Trump’s hope to bring peace and prosperity to the Middle East. Interestingly, Trump did not visit Israel, even though he was in the region.

Trillions of dollars in investments by Arab countries to American businesses were negotiated. Trump met with sketchy leaders like Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who oddly gifted the U.S. a Boeing 747. Trump gave a major policy speech outlining his vision for the Middle East, which would have Saudi Arabia signing the Abraham Accords, a treaty normalizing relations between Arab nations and Israel. Meanwhile, Islamist Iran looms in the region, trying desperately to develop nuclear weapons.

How to interpret all that took place? Christian geopolitical analyst Soeren Kern will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview Radio Program to survey the many facets of President Trump’s trip and how it will impact America and our longtime ally Israel. Soeren will also discuss the upcoming U.N. Geopolitical analyst Soeren Kern will join us next week to interpret all that took place and what it means for the U.S. and Israel.

This week, Mike Gendron, founder and director of Proclaiming the Gospel, a ministry devoted to helping Roman Catholics understand and believe the biblical gospel, joins us to discuss the selection of a new pope, Leo XIV. Mike, a Roman Catholic for the first 35 years of his life, will tell us about the new pope, the first American-born leader of the Catholic Church, and explain core Catholic doctrines—like Peter being the first pope—and how these contrast with God’s Word.

But before we get to the new pope and the Roman Catholic Church, Mike and I will discuss the disheartening news this week that Josh Buice, founder and president of G3 Ministries, a ministry focused on building the church up in sound doctrine, has resigned due to the uncovering of anonymous social media accounts that he was using to slander other Christians and ministries and then lying about it.

Paul told Timothy to “Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you” (1 Timothy 4:16). This is a sobering reminder that we must not only examine our teaching but our hearts.

GUEST: Mary Jane Wheaton, David’s Mom

The great preacher Charles Spurgeon said, “Never could it be possible for any man to estimate what He owes to a godly mother.”

I heartily concur with that sentiment, as God blessed my Dad with a godly wife and my siblings and I with a godly mother. All of us have been presently and eternally impacted by our mother, Mary Jane Wheaton, who was brought to saving faith in Christ in her 20s, and by God’s grace, has followed Him to today at age 91.

It has been an annual tradition on The Christian Worldview to interview my Mom and Dad in May and June over Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends. It’s always enriching to hear their perspective on matters of life and faith, as they both were Christ-followers and married for nearly 70 years. The Lord brought my Dad home to heaven in 2023 at the same age my mom is today.

My mom will be our guest this weekend on this Mother’s Day special program. She will recount how God saved her, who has influenced her, how society has changed its view of women, what a wife should pursue, and much more.

God’s Word describes in Proverbs 31 the character of an “excellent wife” and mother, which says in part:

“Strength and dignity are her clothing,
 And she smiles at the future.

She opens her mouth in wisdom,
 And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

She looks well to the ways of her household,
 And does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children rise up and bless her;
 Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:

“Many daughters have done nobly,
 But you excel them all.”

Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
 But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”

May women listening today be encouraged to pursue God’s design for a woman, wife, and mother. And may young men be looking for this kind of woman to marry and may married men be cultivating this character in their wives.

There have always been subversive people within the church and there always will be. One aspect of great neglect for far too many pastors today is not warning their churches about them. Whether the pastor doesn’t have the discernment to see error or whether he’s unwilling to be “negative,” the result is the same—Christians led astray “by smooth and flattering speech” (Romans 16:18).

In the week leading up to Easter, Christianity Today, led by editor-in-chief Russell Moore, published an article with the headline “Was Jesus Crucified with Nails?” The Bible is abundantly clear that He was (cf. John 20:25) so why let this article see the light of day?

David Mitzenmacher, associate pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, FL and chairman of Founders Ministries joins us this weekend to discuss subversive influencers within the professing church, specifically with the example of Russell Moore.

The highest calling for Christians is to pursue holiness.

Scripture says this definitively, “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:14-16).

What hinders the pursuit of holiness, defined as Christ-likeness, is the opposite—worldliness. Worldliness is defined in Scripture as the sinful lusts and pride which the world around us relentlessly promotes:

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world” (1 John 2:16).

Here’s what WORLDLINESS tells us:
 >> If it feels good, do it.
>> If it looks good, get it.
>> If it elevates me, go for it.

Not surprisingly, the fallen world ruled by Satan presents endless ways to draw us off the path of holiness and down the dead end of worldliness. And most problematic, there’s something inside us that is drawn to what the sinful world offers. It’s enjoyable. It causes us to laugh. It makes us feel “in.” It boosts our view of self. And it’s really not going to affect me, right?

Scott Aniol, Executive Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of G3 Ministries and Professor of Pastoral Theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss worldliness and how to identify and overcome it.

The prophets foretold Him. The gospels reveal Him. The epistles explain Him. All of Scripture exalts Him.

“Him” being Jesus Christ, the God-man who lived among us, was crucified by those He created, miraculously rose from the grave, and then ascended alive into heaven.

This is way beyond the “greatest story ever told”. Rather, Jesus Christ is the greatest One who ever lived. His crucifixion, burial, resurrection is the greatest, most significant event in human history.

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6).

Scripture also says, “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time” (1 Timothy 2:5).

This Easter weekend, we’re going to talk about “the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all”. We’ll examine the most detailed Old Testament prophecy about Him in Isaiah 53 and see how it was precisely fulfilled. We’ll also hear some of the most profound hymns about Christ’s sacrificial death for man.

Here’s why: “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Consider Jesus in the days leading to His death on the cross. He knew when, where, and how He was going to suffer and die. Above all, He knew that His own Father would be pouring out His just wrath and justice on Him, the innocent One, for all the sins of all who would believe.

The gospel of Luke describes Jesus’ state on the night of His arrest as He was in the Garden of Gethsemane: “being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground” (Luke 22:44).

Agony, praying fervently, sweating blood. What? Didn’t Jesus just run through this unruffled like some superhero?

No He didn’t. His agony and His actions before His atoning death teach us a great deal about who He is and who believers are called to be.

Our guest this weekend is Travis Allen. Travis served our country in the US Navy as a member of the SEAL teams and is now the pastor of Grace Church in Greeley, CO. Travis gave a recent sermon series on “The Agony in the Garden,” explaining the deep suffering of Christ in the hours before He would bear His Father’s wrath for our sin on the cross.

We hope this program leading into Easter week, along with the April issue of The Christian Worldview Journal, which is scheduled to arrive this week, will help our hearts and minds more deeply appreciate and worship Christ for who He is—the Son of God and only Savior of mankind.

It’s been said that “Ideas have consequences and bad ideas have victims.”

Ideas are the causes of actions in the world, for better or for worse. And the Christian should know from God’s Word that sinful ideas come from unregenerate minds. Romans 8 says, “the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8).

The depravity and death we see all around us in our culture, particularly millions of aborted babies, all manner of sexual and gender perversion, and suicide and euthanasia, are the direct result of ideas from minds that hate God and His truth and design.

As shown in a new documentary film titled The 1916 Project by executive producer Seth Gruber, the wicked lineage of this God-forsaking worldview in America is built block by block upon well-known names like evolutionist Charles Darwin, abortionist Margaret Sanger, and pervert Alfred Kinsey and many other lesser known influencers like Thomas Malthus, Francis Galton, Havelock Ellis, and Emma Goldman.

Gruber reveals how these men and women are the reason why abortion today is seen as “My body, my choice,” “love is love,” “gender is fluid,” and “children need to explore their sexuality at the youngest ages.”

I mentioned on last week’s program that I would tell you more about our recent trip to Southern California, where our family received the “Family of the Year” award by the U.S. Tennis Association. The Book of Proverbs was written to be profitable to all readers but is particularly directed to young men. One of the prominent exhortations and warnings for sons in Proverbs is on the issue of moral purity. Listen to Proverbs 5:18-23:

Let your fountain be blessed,

As a loving hind and a graceful doe,
Let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
Be exhilarated always with her love.

For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress
And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?

His own iniquities will capture the wicked,

God wonderfully designed us with the ability to procreate and to enjoy the one-flesh dynamic of sexual intimacy within the one-man one-woman marriage covenant, all to His glory. But what God beautifully designed is what the devil, the world, and our flesh relentlessly corrupts. God says, “rejoice in the wife of your youth.” Satan says, “Do whatever you want with whomever you want.”

And the destruction that results from lust and pornography and fornication and adultery and homosexuality and every other kind of sexual sin are everywhere—bondage to sin, broken marriages, sexually transmitted diseases, and alienation from God. Because of the pull of sexual desire and the ubiquity of sexual sin, it’s common to conclude that God’s call for sexual purity—mentally and physically—is an impossible standard.

The church, the body of true believers in Jesus Christ from every tribe and tongue, is called “the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).

God began the church 50 days after the Passover on which Jesus was crucified, by sending His Holy Spirit to indwell and empower believers to do God’s will.

Ever since, despite relentless attempts to destroy or corrupt it, the church has unstoppably marched on as a witness to the saving and sanctifying power of God through His Son, His Spirit and His Word.

There is no category for a Christian to not be part of a local church. The example of first century believers was that their lives were centered around the church, as they gathered each week to worship God, fellowship with one another, pray, remember the Lord’s death and resurrection, and hear the preaching of God’s Word.

In other words, our once “Christian nation” is the greatest exporter in the world of what dishonors God.

In speaking to His disciples, Jesus used strong language to describe the reaction the unbelieving world would have to His followers:

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you” (John 15:19).

Not dislikes you or misunderstands you or is confused by you but “hates you”.

Why does the world hate believers? Jesus answers that question: “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light lest his deeds be exposed” (John 3:20). In other words, the Light of Christ is in every true believer and a sanctified life convicts unbelievers of their sin and their alienation from God.

Even though the political winds have changed recently in this country, the spiritual winds will always be in the face of Christians. So how can believers obey their call to be salt and light—a preservative to what honors God and a light to the way of salvation? How do we avoid passivity (i.e. removing ourselves from engagement in society) but rather faithfully be an ambassador for Christ?

The beginning of a new year provides a good opportunity for Christians to self-examine. Are you and I making choices to build the house of our lives on the foundation of Christ and His Word?

I recently watched a program on Fox News Channel that featured some of the sharpest conservative minds, including Thomas Sowell, Victor Davis Hanson, and Mark Levin. They were discussing the crumbling state of affairs in America and abroad with regard to overwhelming illegal immigration across our border, a takeover of the government school system by a Marxist worldview, crushing economic policies and inflation, political corruption, widespread anti-Israel sentiment, and several more.

They detailed the problems accurately but I was left wondering what these intelligent men believe is going to happen in the future. Do they think with a different president that we’ll pull out of this death spiral? Do they think that America is too big to fail and that the pendulum will swing back the conservative way at some point? Do they know and believe what God has prophesied in the Bible about the end times?

Only the born again Christian who is indwelled by the Holy Spirit and accurately interprets Scripture is able to understand what is coming. While God has chosen to not reveal every detail and precise timing of the future, He has put enough in Scripture that we should know what’s coming, most especially, the return of Jesus Christ to defeat His enemies and reign.

With each passing sunset, we are “one day nearer” to the return of Christ. And that is the best news! Why would the believer want to struggle on in this world—with sin, conflict, persecution, disease, and death—when we can live for eternity in perfection in the presence of Christ?

Christmas is upon us. While it’s easy to get distracted by all that competes for our attention—current events and politics, work and school, sports and recreation, travel and material things, even family and church—there is really only one most important issue and that is the person of Jesus Christ and what He has done for mankind.

Jesus said, “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).

That couldn’t be more clear. Where you spend eternity hinges on whether you place your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Christmas is the time when Christians remember and celebrate God sending His Son into our world, born of a virgin woman, mighty and holy in word and deed, and loving and sacrificial in offering His perfect life to satisfy God’s wrath and justice for our sins.

Today will be a program to think about not Christmas generally, but the Christ of Christmas specifically. We will read God’s word, listen to some music, even do a Christmas quiz, all to appreciate and worship the God/Man, the Lord Jesus Christ. For none of us would have any hope without His “One Solitary Life”.

Theoretical physicist Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “The earth is the insane asylum of the universe.” A more Biblical assertion would be: “The earth is the sin asylum of the universe.”

For that is the common denominator between two seemingly unrelated issues that we will discuss this weekend on The Christian Worldview.

The first is a recent case before the United States Supreme Court as to whether the state of Tennessee is within Constitutional rights to ban what is euphemistically referred to as “gender affirming care” for children. That “health care” includes administering powerful drugs and hormones to minors that alter sexual development and irreversible surgeries to remove reproductive body parts.

Abraham Hamilton, General Counsel and Public Policy Analyst for American Family Association and the host of The Hamilton Corner radio program will join us to discuss that.

While we in America debate the illogical and impossibility of changing one’s sex, people in Syria are concerned about the basics of life after an Islamist militant group just ousted long-time dictator Bashar al-Assad.What does this mean for the broader Middle East and specifically for neighboring Israel? Soeren Kern, geopolitical analyst and managing editor of The Christian Worldview Journal will join us in the second half of the program.

Blood is a recurring theme in Scripture. In Genesis 4, God confronted Cain after he had murdered his brother Abel, saying: The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground (Gen. 4:10).

The sacrificial system God established for the Jews to temporarily cover their sin involved countless animals being slaughtered and their blood applied to the altar and mercy seat.

Ephesians 1:7 says, In Him we have redemption through His blood, the fogginess of our trespasses.

Even in a physical sense the Bible says, For the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11).

Clearly, God created and designed blood to be highly important physically and spiritually.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will discuss my recent problem with blood flow in my heart. We will also hear from the author of a children’s book titled 100% Jesus, that does a really good job explaining the gospel and how the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). We think the book will be a helpful tool in your Bible reading time with your children, along with daily conversations and going to church, that will help young ones understand and believe in Christ.

A small group of biblical Christians known as the the Pilgrims are widely considered to be “the founders of America”.

Numbering only about 400-500 souls, they had fled religious persecution in England to settle in Holland. But after ten years there, they decided on another move across the Atlantic Ocean to an unknown land that would become the United States.

About 50 Pilgrims were on the first vessel called The Mayflower, arriving in modern-day Cape Cod in Massachusetts in November 1620. One year later in November 1621, after a brutal winter in which many of them died, they celebrated a bountiful harvest with local Indians who had helped them in what has become known as the first Thanksgiving.

The Pilgrims and their biblical beliefs which led directly to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution 150 years have been mostly forgotten by the majority of our population. “Separation of church and state” is a sacrament of mainstream society today…but it wasn’t to the Pilgrims. They said they came to America “for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.”

Dr. Jerry Newcombe, producer of the documentary film, The Pilgrims, joins us this Thanksgiving weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the Pilgrims’ story and what they believed and lived by. For in them we have an example for how we can live in our pilgrimage in a contrary world.

GUEST: MEGAN BASHAM, author, Shepherds for Sale

Jesus warned, “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:15-16).

False teachers don’t wear red suits and carry pitchforks. That would be too obvious. Far more effective for undermining the church, diverting believers, and hiding the gospel from unbelievers is for false teachers to hold respected positions at churches and Christian organizations and to be captivating speakers and writers.

What’s really effective is when they gain popularity while appearing to hold orthodox positions only to shift over time away from orthodoxy, leading their followers away.

False teachers are nothing new. The Old Testament recounts the false prophets who led Israel into compromise and sin. The New Testament describes the constant battles of Christ and the apostles to “Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.” (2 Tim. 1:13).

From the very beginning, Satan relentlessly attacks the truth of God’s Word and he uses men and women to do it. Men and women who likely would never consider themselves to be false teachers but are nonetheless. “You will know them by their fruits”, meaning misinterpreting Scripture and practicing sin.

Our guest this weekend is Christian reporter, Megan Basham. She is the author of a well-researched, well-documented, and illuminating new book, Shepherds for Sale—How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda.

She describes how those on the political left are insidiously working to draw Evangelicals, the last remaining bulwark standing in the way of their socialist, Marxist vision, over to the Democrat side by giving large sums of money and reframing issues like climate change, race, immigration, pro-life, and homosexuality in language that appeals to Christians.

None other than John MacArthur has written about Megan’s book, Shepherds for Sale: “This may just be the single most important book on modern evangelicalism in recent years.”

The question is: Will Evangelicals listen and make amends? Because the courage and Biblical model to exercise discernment, contend for sound doctrine, and name the names of those leading Christians astray has been sinfully lacking and shamed out of Christians to avoid being pegged as “divisive” and “unkind”.

Last week in our program before the election we started by reading Psalm 103:19: “The Lord has established His throne in the heavens and His sovereignty rules over all.”

We said that God’s supreme power and authority is what Christians need to be trusting in now and always, for He controls the past, present, and future, moving people to accomplish His purposes.

On November 5, millions of voters in our nation were moved to elect Republican Donald Trump to a second term as president in a landslide victory over Democrat Kamala Harris. There’s no other way to interpret the results than a sizable majority of the American people rejected the Marxist worldview of Harris and Democrats who seek to overturn traditional American values based on Christianity.

Democrats are very clear that they want the “freedom” to abort babies throughout all nine months of pregnancy. They brought millions of illegal immigrants across our borders to make them into a permanent voting bloc dependent on government. They want to “transition” boys into girls and girls into boys even in the face of parental objection. They even want self-identifying boys to enter girls’ locker room and compete in girls’ sports. They want to tax and spend massively on social programs, despite costs and debt rising, so more people are dependent on and thus will vote for them. They want to shut down dissenting speech as “hate speech” and “inciting violence” and a “threat to democracy”. These are examples of Marxism, the toppling of Christian values and more in favor of big government secularism.

Robert Knight, columnist for The Washington Times, joined us last week to preview the election and he will join us this weekend to analyze various elements of this stunning victory by Trump.

It says something very destructive about the trajectory of our nation that October 31 is overwhelmingly celebrated as Halloween, a “holy-day” that features the dark supernatural world of evil spirits, death, and paganism.

A far more righteous and momentous event occurred on the same date in the year 1517 when a monk named Martin Luther nailed a document known as the 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, protesting errant doctrines of the predominant Roman Catholic Church. Luther’s protest ignited the Reformation, which led to the recovery of key doctrines of the faith such as justification by God’s grace through faith and started a new branch of Christianity called Protestantism.

On Thursday, September 19, a statement was released from Trinity Bible Church in Dallas announcing that their pastor, “Steven J. Lawson has been removed indefinitely from all ministry activities at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas. Several days ago, the elders at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas were informed by Steve Lawson of an inappropriate relationship that he has had with a woman.”

The shocks of this earthquake were immediately felt throughout the Evangelical Christian world. How could the 73-year-old popular and influential theologically conservative pastor/preacher who had been in ministry for nearly 50 years, who preached at the biggest conferences around the world, who was “a preacher to aspiring preachers”, who had written dozens of books on Christian doctrine, history, and practice, fall into this kind of disqualifying sin?

Surely, the best of preachers, one who fastidiously studied and accurately preached the Word with such passion and conviction, he must surely be sanctified beyond this?

Someone once said, “The best of men are men at best.” Or Scripture puts it even better, “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). 

That means all men and women. Great preachers and you and me.

We will discuss this tragic news this weekend on The Christian Worldview, not in any way to judge a man, but so that all of us would “Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life” (Proverbs 4:23).

Proverbs 28:2 in the The New Living Translation reads this way: “When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.”

Well, that’s certainly descriptive of our nation.

The Roman Empire was marked by moral rot and it collapsed, despite a large geographic scale of rule, military might, educational advancement, and economic prosperity.

It’s the second part of this Proverb that is up for discussion—“wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability”. We have moral rot but do we have “wise and knowledgeable leaders” to bring stability?

In part 1 last week, guest Dr. James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries, explained the Romans 1 tidal wave in how America has gone from revering God and His Word to rejecting and detesting Him.

This week in part 2, James will explain why an explosion of sexual sin results from suppressing God truth and exchanging it for a lie. We will also discuss whether a Donald Trump victory would change the trajectory of this nation.

In the opening chapter of the apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans, he describes God-rejecting mankind, who “suppress the truth in unrighteousness”, whose “foolish hearts were darkened”, who “exchanged the truth of God for the lie”, and worship themselves and their pleasures rather than the Creator.

God’s judgment on these rebels is the wrath of abandonment, where God “gives them over” to plunge deeper into sin. When this occurs, wickedness explodes—heterosexual immorality becomes homosexuality immorality becomes a “depraved mind” which takes delight in and gives “hearty approval” to all manner of iniquity.

The United States of America, though founded with Christian values, has descended over the decades into a Romans 1 society. What God established—marriage, morality, gender, truth, life—is now vehemently rejected. And as we near a pivotal election, half or more of the electorate will vote for the Democratic Party, the loud and proud leaders of Romans 1, to normalize and expand their sinful “freedoms”.

The Republican Party, on the other hand, is trailing a decade or two behind. Who would have thought that the GOP would abandon its former commitment to protect unborn humans in the womb? Who would think they would give up the fight for the family and go silent on unnatural “marriages” and child-rearing?

But moving left is what has happened on these and other issues, such as illegal immigration, spending, and globalism. Donald Trump has led the Republican Party since becoming president in 2016. Now running for reelection in 2024, he has sniffed the wind in the country and concluded that to get elected, he needs to give our Romans 1 nation more of what it wants.

And yet the alternative to Trump in our only-two-viable-parties system is Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, who advocate for the ungodly and un-American ideology of Marxism. So what are Biblical Christians to think and do in this election and going forward?

It’s been an unprecedented ascent for Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee for president. She dropped out early in the 2020 Democratic primary due to low poll numbers but was then chosen by Joe Biden to be his running mate after he promised to select a woman.

And then late in her unremarkable term as vice president, Harris was chosen to be the party’s nominee for president after Biden was forced out of the race due to cognitive decline.

Aside from delegates at the recent Democrat National Convention, no one has directly voted for Kamala Harris to be nominee for president. No matter—half of the electorate are fully enthused at the prospect of “making history with the country’s first black, female president”.

Never mind that she was considered the most leftist member when she was a U.S. Senator from California. Never mind that she fully supports the killing of unborn babies all the way up to the time of birth. In fact, Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz are the highest ranking government officials to visit an abortion center.

And she checks all the rest of the left’s boxes—homosexual/transgender advocacy, illegal immigration, redistributive economic policies, pro-Palestine, and more.

So how it is possible in a nation built on Christian values with individual liberties that a candidate who opposes that may very well be our next president?

There is no more important issue and pursuit than worshipping God. It’s more important than who will be our next president, more important than world peace, more important than your health, financial security, and whatever else we treasure.

Scripture makes the primacy of worship clear:  King David prayed, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all” (1 Chronicles 29:11).

Paul wrote, “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor 10:31).

King Solomon exhorted, “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear [reverence, awe] God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

Psalms, the songbook of the Bible, closes this way: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6)

God created man as a worshipful being. We can see this because everyone worships someone or something. If God isn’t worshipped, a false god will be substituted—person, pleasure, possession, position, popularity, power, to name just a few.

God, as Creator, Sustainer, Savior, and Sovereign over all, deserves our worship. Our peace, purpose, and pleasure in life is directly proportional to how rightly and authentically we worship the Creator.

Our guest this weekend is Scott Aniol, Executive VP and Editor-in-Chief G3 Ministries. G3, which stands for “Gospel—Grace—Glory”, is a Christian organization that aims to strengthen the local church through conferences, resources, online articles, podcasts, expository preaching workshops, biblical worship workshops, and local church-based curriculum for Sunday school and small groups.” Their next major conference is Oct. 3-5 in Oklahoma on the issue of Cessationism and whether the miraculous sign gifts are for today?

Scott Aniol will join us to discuss “The Primacy of Worship”. He explains in a five-part column series corresponding to each of the “five solas” of the Reformation that worship is even more important than salvation, for salvation is the entry point to proper worship of God.

This program aims to be a helpful for individual Christians and also the church, for worship includes but is far more encompassing than music alone.

And since it’s election season with the Democratic National Convention having just concluded in Chicago, we will discuss what is being worshipped by both parties and how to think about voting for imperfect candidates.

Paul wrote to the Colossians, “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ” (Colossians 2:8).

It would be hard to overstate just how pervasive and destructive social justice ideology has become in our society and the church. Whether termed social justice, wokeness, colonization, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), or Critical Theory, it has metastasized everywhere—government, education, media, military, even in Christian institutions and the church.

It’s based on the Marxist worldview that “oppressors” (such as white, Christian, heterosexual men) have “rigged the system” to oppress and victimize non-whites, non-Christians, women, immigrants, “indigenous peoples”, homosexuals, transgenders, and Palestinians.

This is a politically and theologically left-wing ideology whose ultimate aim is to crumble Western Civilization and the Biblical principles upon which it’s based in order to transform the country and the world into what they believe will be a united, socialist utopia where they do not “acknowledge God any longer” (Romans 1:28).

But instead of unity, it foments division, entitlement, and the sin of partiality. But even worse for Christians and the church, social justice prioritizes the pursuit of social issues above the Great Commission and sidetracks many Christians and churches.

Our guest this weekend, pastor Jeff Kliewer, knows all too well about social justice, the term Christians are particularly susceptible to because “God is a God of justice and so pursuing social justice is a Biblical and gospel issue.” Jeff lived and ministered for over a decade in the inner city of Philadelphia and came to the conclusion that social justice policies were not only misguided but actually cause and exacerbate problems rather than provide solutions.

Jeff has written a strong and insightful book titled, Woke-Free Church: For the Deliverance of the Body of Christ from Social Justice Captivity that exposes just how insidious woke ideology is. The book struck such a nerve in his own denomination, the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), that they removed his ordination.

Journalist Megan Basham recently joined us to describe the Left’s infiltration into Evangelicalism in light of her bestselling book, Shepherds for Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda. Now Jeff Kliewer joins us to describe what it is like to stand in opposition to the social justice movement within the church.

This week, Kamala Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for the Democrat presidential ticket.

Christian journalist Julie Roys, the same one who has tried to slander John MacArthur out of ministry, posted an article on her website that characterized Walz as a “Minnesota Lutheran dad”.

But is that an accurate description of Walz? What has he said and what has he done in office? We will open the program this week with a deeper examination of Walz’ worldview.

Later in the program, we will also air more interviews from our Road Trip to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. Mark Looy, co-founder with Ken Ham and chief communications officer of Answers in Genesis (AIG), will join us to talk about God’s hand in the development of the ministry.

Jesus warned, “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:15-16).

False teachers don’t wear red suits and carry pitchforks. That would be too obvious. Far more effective for undermining the church, diverting believers, and hiding the gospel from unbelievers is for false teachers to hold respected positions at churches and Christian organizations and to be captivating speakers and writers.

What’s really effective is when they gain popularity while appearing to hold orthodox positions only to shift over time away from orthodoxy, leading their followers away.

False teachers are nothing new. The Old Testament recounts the false prophets who led Israel into compromise and sin. The New Testament describes the constant battles of Christ and the apostles to “Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.” (2 Tim. 1:13).

From the very beginning, Satan relentlessly attacks the truth of God’s Word and he uses men and women to do it. Men and women who likely would never consider themselves to be false teachers but are nonetheless. “You will know them by their fruits”, meaning misinterpreting Scripture and practicing sin.

Our guest this weekend is Christian reporter, Megan Basham. She is the author of a well-researched, well-documented, and illuminating new book, Shepherds for Sale—How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda.

She describes how those on the political left are insidiously working to draw Evangelicals, the last remaining bulwark standing in the way of their socialist, Marxist vision, over to the Democrat side by giving large sums of money and reframing issues like climate change, race, immigration, pro-life, and homosexuality in language that appeals to Christians.

None other than John MacArthur has written about Megan’s book, Shepherds for Sale: “This may just be the single most important book on modern evangelicalism in recent years.”

The question is: Will Evangelicals listen and make amends? Because the courage and Biblical model to exercise discernment, contend for sound doctrine, and name the names of those leading Christians astray has been sinfully lacking and shamed out of Christians to avoid being pegged as “divisive” and “unkind”.

GUEST: MARTYN ILES, Executive CEO of Answers in Genesis and author, Who Am I?

What are the first things you would say to describe yourself? One might answer, “I’m an American white male engineer.” Another might say, “I identify as a trans-woman feminist.”

The question being asked is about identity. And the answers most everyone will give are based on self-perception, as if it’s up to each one of us to determine who we are.

While the question “Who Am I?” naturally leads to personal, subjective answers, the far better question is “Who does God say that I am?” That question will lead to an objective, truthful answer with which we can align our thinking and living.

We just returned to Minnesota after a road trip to northern Kentucky near Cincinnati, Ohio to visit the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter, both of which are Bible-based, gospel-proclaiming theme parks owned and operated by Answers in Genesis.

Later in this weekend’s program, Ken Ham, co-founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis, will join us to recount the history of God’s guiding hand in how these two attractions came to be and why the early chapters of Genesis are foundational to…well, everything.

While on this trip, we watched in horror, like many of you, at the assassination attempt on former President Trump at a campaign event in western Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13. The God who “is sovereign over all”, including speeding bullets, chose to direct the bullet away from Trump’s head by a mere quarter inch, wounding his ear instead. Positioned in the line of fire was Corey Comperatore, a husband and father and reportedly a Christ-follower, who took a bullet and was brought home to heaven. Two others were wounded.

With US Secret Service and other law enforcement officers on site, it begs the question how the 20-year-old shooter was able to climb a ladder to the rooftop of a building just 160 yards away from Trump. Even more perplexing was how security allowed Trump on stage after being suspicious of the man hours earlier and rally-goers informing security about a man with a rifle on the roof minutes before shots rang out.

I can see only two explanations for how this took place: either the Secret Service agency is unbelievably incompetent or someone (or several) with the governmental agency were intentionally attempting to assassinate former President Trump.

We’ll provide some reported details in the opening of the program and you can come to your own conclusion.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, “These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.“

What are “these words” that are to be on our hearts and taught diligently to our children?  Biblical doctrines—truths about God and how we are to live and worship Him.

But how?  How can we teach biblical truths or doctrines to children?

GUEST: SCOTT ANIOL, Professor of Pastoral Theology, Grace Bible Theological Seminary

As we celebrate Independence Day, which commemorates the signing in 1776 of the Declaration of Independence, the founding document of our nation, when the original 13 colonies declared their autonomy from British colonial rule.

John Adams was a signer of the Declaration, one of the framers of the U.S. Constitution (1789), and the second President of the United States. Likely not a born-again Christian but rather a deist (a believer in a supreme being who is uninvolved in the affairs of mankind), Adams wrote the following about the link between morality and civil society:

“…should the people of America once become capable of that deep simulation [pretending] towards one another…which assumes the language of justice and moderation while it is practicing iniquity and extravagance…while it is rioting in rapine [violent seizure of property] and insolence [rude behavior], this country will be the most miserable habitation in the world; because we have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

We are seeing John Adams’ warning prove true in America today. We are at a low point in our nation when laws are passed granting the “freedom” to kill a child anytime during the nine months of pregnancy, when the “degrading passions” of homosexuality are normalized and codified as “marriage”, when adults parade openly and lewdly down the streets in front of children, and when children are led into the sin of cross-dressing and physical mutilation in the name of “gender affirming care”.

Wicked depravity is now tolerated and affirmed in our nation and the predictable results are division, confusion, chaos, violence, harm, and hatred.

So what are Christians to do, who like Lot living in Sodom “felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds” (2 Peter 2:8)?

Most Christians would say that our nation desperately needs to reclaim our Biblical foundations and establish laws and policies based on the truths of Christianity. But how would that take place? Is that Scripture’s call for Christians and the church to work to “Christianize” government?

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, Scott Aniol, editor-in-chief of G3 Ministries and professor of pastoral theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary, joins us to discuss “Christian Nationalism”, a term that means different things to different people.

To some Christians, it means electing representatives who advocate for biblical principles in government. Other believers see it as a biblical mandate to work toward Christian rule over government and all institutions in society. While non-believers view it as religious extremists trying to institute a theocracy and oppress non-believers.

Join us for a discussion on Christian Nationalism and what Bible says about Christians and government.

On Friday-Saturday June 21-22, nearly 30 young adults age 18-28 converged at Stone House Farm in Jordan, MN as the first class of The Overcomer Course.

Some of the young adults are in the workplace, some are in school, some are in between, but all came to hear what God has said in His Word and how it applies to their lives.

In eight sessions over those two days addressing the most important issues in life, such as, believing God and His gospel, trusting God’s Word as the basis for wise thinking and living, evangelism and discipleship, time and work, singleness and marriage, and the local church (with pastor Ace Davis), attendees were exhorted to love God and embrace His design on all these issues.

Not surprisingly, our faithful God exceeded our plans and expectations and He alone gets all the glory! Despite lots of rain outside, God enriched all of our lives on the inside —staff, volunteers, and attendees—as we dug into God’s supernatural, timeless truths.

We were also encouraged in the bonus sessions between the main sessions, which included mealtime interviews with Christian nutrition and fitness coach Haley Erickson on caring for the body, Dan and Kelly Haugland on how God restores lives and marriages, and even a short interview with my 90-year-old mother on evangelism and discipleship.

It was heartening to watch the young adults connect with each over the two days, eating meals, taking walks, playing ping pong and foosball, and talking with each other.

This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we’ll share some of the highlights and audio clips of the Course, as our way of thanking you for praying for and supporting this new endeavor of The Overcomer Foundation, the organization that directs The Christian Worldview Radio Program.

There are only two foundations for thinking and living: the perfect Word of God or the flawed word of man.

In running further and further away from the truth of God’s Word, our leaders and people run headlong into the fallen and foolish reasonings of man that Paul warned Christians to avoid:

“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ” (Colossians. 2:8).

The empty deceptions of our day are seen and felt everywhere now. When one believes the lie that white, male, heterosexual Christians are responsible for victimizing everyone else, causing every conflict and ill, flawed and discriminatory solutions like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) which actually codifies injustice and discrimination against the alleged oppressors.

Christians live in this fallen world with all its ungodly philosophies and so we must informed and prepared when it confronts us in our workplace, school, church, or even with children in our home who have been taken captive.

GUEST: BRUCE WHEATON, father of host David Wheaton

This Father’s Day weekend, we are going to go back in time to 2010 to hear an interview with my own father, Bruce Wheaton.

Many of you know that God welcomed my dad into heaven February 1, 2023 at age 91. Our family has joy that he is in the eternal presence of the Savior he believed, loved, and obeyed. But we miss his presence with us tremendously, for he was a beloved husband, father, and friend to not just the members of his family but to many others as well.

My mom, who is 90, misses my dad most of all, which is understandable, considering they met when she was 15 and he 17 and were married for nearly 70 years. But God has given her a strong faith and a loving family to surround and help her. Her family, my siblings and grandkids, was taught and influenced greatly by my dad. So he is still strongly felt.

Proverbs 20:7 says, “A righteous man who walks in his integrity—How blessed are his sons after him.” That is the certainly the case with my siblings and me.
