In the Bliss of God’s Everlasting Day, Savitri has seen higher and higher worlds of deathless bliss. She has experienced three aspects of the All-Conscious Supreme Being. Now he speaks to her about himself and about the state of human consciousness in the world. He tells Savitri to wait with Satyavan on earth or in the higher worlds for the moment of celestial fate when heaven and earth will become one. But Savitri tells the Supreme, “I climb not to thy everlasting day, even as I have shunned thy eternal night.” She asks him to give Satyavan back to her because their work on earth together will bring the immortal down to man and bring man nearer to God.
