There is something special happening in a place called "There".                Something special isn't happening "Anywhere" or "Everywhere" but it is only happening "There".

“There” is not just a physical location; it is a spiritual place of surrender, prayer, healing, obedience, and destiny. It is where hard things are resolved, where we learn to hear God’s voice, and where faith is strengthened through personal encounters with His presence.  There are moments in life when we wonder if God still remembers what He promised us. We pray, we wait, we believe, and sometimes we battle discouragement while standing in the middle of uncertainty. But through every season, one truth remains unchanged: God is faithful.

In this episode Kathy was the guest speaker at a local church and invited John to share some words of encouragement to the congregation. John shared part of their testimony about hearing a directive from the Holy Spirit to resign from his ministry as a youth pastor of 5 years and move his family 1800 miles to another city and start their lives over again. As mentioned before.     In Scripture, the disciples learned to pray by watching Jesus withdraw to prayer and return from prayer, marked by communion with the Father. Prayer is learned in proximity. They had watched Him go to prayer and return changed, strengthened, and directed. Prayer was learned through observation, relationship, and practice. Scripture also tells us that when two agree in prayer, heaven responds (Matthew 18:19). That’s why wise believers seek the company of those who pray. As Pastor Bob, often said, “If you want to learn how to pray, get around people who pray.” Listen to them, join them, and pray with them—because prayer is formed in fellowship, not isolation.

Have you ever been sitting in church or any where for that matter and it seems that everyone around you is have a good day but you? You're thinking ... "I recently experienced this radical change in my life being baptized & born again... and here I sit bummed-out... what's up with that?" 

 Sometimes that sadness inside is really the Holy Spirit nudging us. Ephesians 4:30 reminds us not to bring sorrow to God’s Spirit by how we live, and Romans 2:4 shows us that God’s kindness is meant to lead us back to Him. Just as a loving father guides a wandering child, the Holy Spirit’s conviction is a gracious hand bringing us back in tune with God’s heart. 

  In this episode John shares words of encouragement and explains how our God's, kindness and the Spirit’s gentle conviction guide us back to Him, much like a loving father leading a drifting child home.

I'm Saved!! Now What?      In this episode John & Kathy share how the new christian can start living out their new life following Jesus.  They both share scriptures referencing how to recognize when we have offended God/the Holy Spirit and what to do about it. 

An evangelist friend shared this with me awhile back:  "In our lives we have to deal with 3 lifestyles: 1. The person we think we are. 2. The person that others think are. 3. And the person God knows we are"  …  and still loves and forgives us. Aren’t we all glad?!

Always keep a short list of your mistakes/sins with God. Don't wait until Easter or Christmas to come clean/repent. Note to self - the reason I feel bad, miserable and ashamed is that I have offended the Holy Spirit.  "Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant and patient God is with you? ...Can't you see that his kindness is intended to lead you to repentance."(Romans 2:4) 

Remember: Always pray - Search me O God; know my heart and see if there be anything that offends you and lead me in to everlasting life. (Based on Psalms 139:23-24 Living Bible)
