On Tuesday April 11, 2023, a horrific and unspeakable tragedy occurred as a 35-year-old Philadelphia school teacher named Rachel King was brutally murdered. What makes this situation even more tragic is that the murder took place in front of her 11-year-old son. For this edition of the Detour, we were joined by friends to the show Erica and Jennifer to dissect this tragedy from all angles. Corrupt policies and politicians, mental health, accountability in our relationships, and so much more played in a part in this senseless tragedy and we break down how all of these factors played a role in Rachel's untimely demise. Beyond the tragedy itself we also speak to the type of person Rachel was through the scope of the only opinions that matter: her family.
