In the episode we talk about leadership at all levels within business, getting the most out of your career with some deeper reflections and how coaching may be of service. We talk further about building more awareness over your motivations to lead and how to be an effective leader. Our conversation leads us to talk about how workplace culture has changed and how younger talent needs to me understood and manged in a new way. We touch on a topic that is of importance to me around bullying that can exist in a work place and how it is the responsibility of leadership to foster an environment in which this cannot exist. With many people trying to get the most from their careers and work life I am very excited and grateful to have had this conversation with my guest, Shazma, and for the meaningful messages she has voiced which I have no doubt will be helpful. To connect with Shazma:http://www.coachma.com/ (http://www.coachma.com/)https://www.linkedin.com/in/shazma-ahmed-2602a146/ (https://www.linkedin.com/in/shazma-ahmed-2602a146/)Follow me on https://www.instagram.com/roshanchhatralia/ (instagram.com/roshanchhatralia/)Follow me on https://www.facebook.com/RoshanChhatralia/ (facebook.com/roshanchhatralia/)Subscribe to the show here and newsletter https://roshanchhatralia.com/podcast (roshanchhatralia.com/podcast)How can I support the podcast?1. Tell a friend2. Share online3. Subscribe and review (subscribing helps more people know by bumping the show up the rankings)4. Donate – nope.
In this episode, Bina Patel, talks about how her travels after graduating brought her face to face with the struggles of others all round the world and which drove her towards her work in the non-profit sector, working for an NGO today. We discuss the perspective gained from Bina’s travels, how to become more empathetic to others in needs and ultimately make a difference in something that matters to you. Our conversation leads us to talking about some human rights topics I have become more aware of recently including Windrush and artificial intelligence. I am incredibly grateful for the honest and direct messages Bina relays in this episode and questions arising as a result, like, what more can we do?Follow me on https://www.instagram.com/roshanchhatralia/ (instagram.com/roshanchhatralia/)Follow me on https://www.facebook.com/RoshanChhatralia/ (facebook.com/RoshanChhatralia/)Subscribe to the show here and newsletter https://roshanchhatralia.com/podcast (roshanchhatralia.com/podcast) How can I support the podcast?1. Tell a friend 2. Share online 3. Subscribe and review (subscribing helps more people know by bumping the show up the rankings)4. Donate – nope. In this episode, Wilson Ntow, talks about how coming to the UK from Ghana as a child impacted his perspective on life and the opportunities available to him. Wilson talks us through his strong connection with sport and religion from a young age and how his life and mindset has benefited from his exposure to both. We discuss sport and religion and move into how young people who need support can find the help they need. Our conversation leads us to talking about some deeper topics around coping with loss and developing a mindset to manage difficult thoughts and circumstances. I am in awe of the infection energy my guest and friend Wilson exudes. I am honoured to be hosting a guest who is showing up and contributing in such away in the world around me and us.
